Here in the U.K. we rely very much on foreign workers and I for one am grateful for their support. We really should appreciate them
78% of settled Filipino immigrants to the UK are employed, with 15.4% being low earners and 1.28 per cent being high earners. In 2020, 18,500 Filipinos were employed by the National Health Service; as of April 2020, of NHS workers who have died of COVID-19, 20% were Filipino.

Great headline and done to arouse sympathy no doubt, but she's a known activist with history if you'd bothered to check. Any right minded senior citizen undergoing treatment for cancer doesn't travel 2,361.4 miles just to record a video.
Grenada gained independence in 1974 and it was 1983 when the US attacked the island.
Operation Urgent Fury - Grenada Bird Dog
The US and her Caribbean allies invaded Grenada in October 1983 to restore a democratic government, protect US citizens and neutralize the Grenadian military. The Grenadians had built an airport capable of landing large military aircraft and had been supplied weapons and ammunition from Cuba, the Soviet Union and North Korea. The Soviets also funded a new port on the eastern side of the island. The strategic threat to the stability in the region as well as the threat to US personnel attending the medical college there prompted military action.
The combined forces military operation began on 25 October and concluded by 15 December. The last military action was on 1 November. There was sufficient captured arms to outfit 6 battalions. All of the captured weapons and munitions were sent to the United States by Task Force 24.
Sorry to read this and hope all stays well with you.
The N.H.S. is struggling to cope since the pandemic and has a back log of patients awaiting referrals for different ailments. 13 to 18 weeks was the maximum waiting time for replacement joints ,now it's 18 to 24 months and cancer patients are also struggling with their chemo etc.
Thanks for your interesting comments and observations.
Contrary to popular belief and being labelled a "leftie" by some posters I'm not politically minded but have to say that yes the U.K. was very lax after lock down thanks to bodger Boris.
It's common sense also that if you have rules with regards travel during the pandemic ,driving across borders has to be a top priority with regards safety.
For almost 2 years the World has been dealing with Covid and it doesn't seem to be totally under control so yes we have to make changes to our lifestyles in order to protect ourselves and others.
I live near a holiday resort and after the first lock down the rate of covid cases lowered but when the ban was lifted the flood gates opened and the resort was swamped with people ,many of whom had no regard for safety and the rate shot up alarmingly. It was more about economy than public health.
General Beacon said exactly the same in the Forums before he got kicked off
You must be his twin

Remember the attack on the White House January 6 2021 ,I watched a documentary on that a couple of weeks ago. Pretty horrendous to say the least and probably mild in comparison as to what just might happen if Trump gets back in.
I just wish America was in a better place for ALL it's people .
I have my own opinions, and try to keep out of politics if I can but having watched a country slowly divide itself for almost 5 years isn't it time to draw a line under it all .
Out of a country of over 300 million people it beggars belief that all they can find to elect are pensioners. It's not about Trump or Biden it's about Republicans and Democrats who are completely divided at this moment in time and dragging America down.
I'm no lover of Trump admittedly but he's not running my country ,we have our own idiot. but if he gets back into power then there just might be civil disruption on a scale not seen for many a year. Just my humble opinion.
Unless your country start electing men worthy of the position and ,respectfully ,a lot younger than the O.A.P.s you seem to attract, America will still be floundering and divided as a Nation.
