I once had my skirt still tucked into the back of my pantyhose after exiting a work-place toilet. I kid you not.....a blardy awkward situation magnet.

I was very close to an academia once.

Whilst a genius in academic intelligence and an expert in his chosen field, he was sadly lacking in other areas of intelligence...eg social and emotional.....and general common sense.

I do, however, commend people who have attained a tertiary qualification because, at the very least, it requires a level of commitment to complete one's qualification, in time and effort.

I know it sounds cliche, but the university of life is a much better learning environment.

We don't have a day like that here, though my children's Dad is American born and there are extended family in the US, so we acknowledge it privately in some way.

I find it best just to ignore and move on. He doesn't "get" you, and probably never will.

He is being silly, but doing it this way just plays into his hands. It means his actions had a direct impact on you. They love that.

Honesty. effective communication, a sense of fun, keeping the romance alive....and simply being comfortable and enjoying each other.

If he/she is right for you, then all those things will simply just fall into place, naturally, without conscious thought.
