Im very much against micro- chipping people. ( it just doesn’t “ feel” right..). Marking people to ostracize/ punish has been going on for centuries— a woman who conned Marie Antoinette was branded in public with a red- hot iron, concentration camp victims were tattooed or maimed in other ways to identify them, “witches” were branded (if not murdered), P.O.W. Victims as well...I believe chipping will allow control. Not a good thing...

Yes, the little devil. I just called my best friends’ , and we talked about this. They (cats) definitely want and expect to be alpha in the relationship. However, a significant number of them possess a want and need to be wanted, as well, and seem to mysteriously acclimate to type, if the situation is beneficial to THEM. They can’t help it; so owners , must really, really be patient. ( I have torn pieces of napkins and paper towels, inner cardboard rolls out of tissue and paper towels, a recurring spilled water bowl , ratted bedroom curtains, and the list goes on. But I couldn’t part with the little Tasmanian devil for all the tea in China...
something to that....I also instinctively know that a cat is going to do as it pleases. But, never think a cat doesn’t “ know” he’s doing something he knows is wrong or will irritate you. They’ll grab an item and run away, even if you’ve never scolded them for it. If my guy is up on a counter, for example, even though I’m not trying to shoo him off, he’ll act like I have, and jump and scoot out, anyway. Hmmmmm.......

This is for real— find out when cargo day is at a store you like. ( not advertising, but here in Oregon many people like Fred Meyer, BiMart, JCPenney). Shop the evening before, or in the morning of cargo day. Lots of merchandise on sale.....move ‘em up, roll ‘em out, RAWHIDE....! Just having fun, but what I said is frequently true. also, check out “ mill end” stores...look that up, but one hint...” ROSS”.
I know this lady who spends ten dollars in gas to go to several stores in town. She saves three dollars and sixty- five cents in coupons. Gosh, she’s a smart shopper!
Just my opinion about these kinds of sales. Blarney........major Blarney....several weeks before the sale, they price bunches of things higher. Then, on the sale day, they bring it down to the original non- sale price. BTW—- when is Safeway/Kroger/Macy’s/Nordstrom, etc... NOT having a sale??
Etiquette says that when a man and woman are walking side- by- side he take the traffic ( outside) side. This goes back to ( at least) Colonial and Old West days. (The “ gentleman” took the brunt of mud and debris spattering from horses, wagons, stagecoaches.)

Good morning everyone, and a very Happy Thanksgiving. I jumped into this thread because I’ve got a question ( I didn’t want to create a new thread unnecessarily) that ..sort of..goes here. Now, I’m not trying to start a debate at all- it’s just a question. Overall, in the United States, how many deaths were there in 2019? How many, so far, in 2020? How about globally? What I’m trying to find out is if the average yearly death rate would have been significantly less, and/ or if Covid, as bad as it is, is just another factor, such as pneumonia, influenza, accidental deaths, kidney failure, liver failure, heart failure, cancers, and so on. ( I may not be “ asking” google the right way, because I’m not getting any patent answer( s) there. Thanx...
