I have heard that Chinese business people, even officials (not nutty people) live by their given signs. An interesting note: Virgo and The Rooster are strikingly similar. And, remember, the two disciplines knew little or nothing of each other and those “castings” of traits developed a long, long time ago. Co-Winkie- dink?
Not sure if this is exactly how this fun “love”song goes:
“We made love in the mornin’, we made love in the trees, We made love in the valley, we made love in the breeze, We made love in the forest, we made love every way .....but mostly we made love... Ten miles away.......
Can Chinese “Zodiac” symbols be on the cusp, like occidental ones? For instance, it’s possible for Virgo to be so close to Libra or Leo that the person has traits of both? I mean, could I be a fire-breathing rooster?
36 rolls Quilted Northern per year— 1 every 10 days or so, about 6 “squares” a time. Cost per year is about 20.00. Not bad. I don’t qualify as a “hoarder”, just a practical consumer. I have about a year’s supply, plus a few months, at the moment. I keep plenty of all non-grocery supplies on hand, AND cupboards full of long-storing groceries. (It makes for a constant feeling of good home economics. Less stress, and, possible funky budgeting, but it SEEMS like I have more money every month...
I’ve vacillated regarding this, but here is how I feel and believe now..( at this confluence in life): Women have (righteously) taken a stand advocating for themselves. They are no longer complacent about “standing by their man” if he is not honoring them. Negative traits are not obvious at the start of a relationship, and a new broom sweeps clean...I say that it’s far, far better to get out rather than be miserable. And, unfortunately, marrying the wrong person can happen more than once. I don’t know what your situations were, but I give you the benefit of the doubt. I do not see you as a red flag. (I KNOW about men, and 99% are turdballs...) Blessings, lovie..
I struggle with this, too. I have no answer. Maintaining faith means accepting what one does not understand. In this earthly life, we do NOT accept the “difficult to understand” - we don’t buy a house or car unseen and unknown, for example. Spiritual faith means being sure of the unknown. It’s a tough one, but in all walks of Beliefs, it appears to be the common denominator. I personally think it’s OK to question God/Jesus. Else, why the brain cells? For decoration?
PRECISELY. What I’m trying to get across. Look at LDS. No one witnessed the discovery of the “plates”. Yet look at the membership! It’s because they “build a better mousetrap”. (LDS has a remarkable inner-self-contained economy. Plenty for all, another job if you lose one, an endless storehouse of everything you need to live, etc...not MY thing, but it’s the exact reason why they flourish. And people have joined for these extracurricular as primary to the actual cause. Better mousetrap...
Now let’s sort this a little—and I AM a believer. We must strive to be equitable—-There is truth in the essence of what Blathin commented. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard an “acceptable” ( non-cult..) , is even “mainstream church, adamantly claim to be the “Real McCoy” with a “now that you’ve tried the rest, come home to the best”. In fact, the MAJORITY of Christian churches push this envelope. So, yes, I believe it is important to embrace Faith, it’s very difficult to know just who IS right, when they ALL use this “sale” tactic. Whadda ya gonna do? Right...? Get it, folks? Read my profile...I do not embrace organized religion. I go to a mainstream church because they “build a better mousetrap”. Nothing like raw honesty, is there? Cut the crap.
thanx a million for the edits...I like to get things right (I’m OCD- perfectionist...it has been almost 30 years since I “ used” French. You’re a doll, as usual
I took 3 years of French in high School and 2 years in college...my high school French teacher was great. She showed us how to achieve that perfect “ooo” inflection: put your mouth to an ax act “0” and say “uh”. It works!
We’ve got to batten down the hatches—- it’s bloody hell right now. Last year non-compliance in Fort Lauderdale (U.S.) resulted in THOUSANDS of deaths...no one likes this new social atmosphere but if we want to live....I think I would agree with this cabinet administrator...here, someone with AIDS who knowingly infects someone else can be charged with attempted murder. It’s badass out there, folks...wanna live or not? Don’t like airline security and rules? Take the bus...you got choices...if your boss demands air travel or the boot— take the boot. You can get another boss. You can’t get another ‘life’. Be smart.
Good morning everybody. I’m just wondering if anyone else is getting unwanted calls— solicitation, imposters saying they’re from a bank or IRS or Medicare/Social Security, or law enforcement. Of course I’m aware they’re “scams” - I’ve touched bases on this before...AND I’ve dialed the “no calls” lists made available, but the calls keep coming...(when I called an Oregon citizens’ board agency, they said the unwanted callers do not heed the “no calls” feature, whichever way you go about it, and there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it, save immediately hanging up or putting the telephone on “silent”. Here’s the problem: I have an auto-immune illness that requires me to sleep at two or three intervals throughout the day. When the telephone rings, my sleep is interrupted and I CANNOT re-capture it. Although I can turn the phone to “silent” overnight (worse case scenario is that someone died. They’ll be just as dead in the morning...) I MUST leave my phone on in the daytime for several very legitimate reasons that are uncompromising. If there are laws regarding this nuisance, why in the hell isnt something being done about it?
Most likely. However, one must be wise enough to not help or believe gold digger on any internet application. Just remember this: if someone is as cool as they want others to think/believe, it won’t be necessary to search online. What’s that Emerson saying? “ If a man can make a better mousetrap, there will be a crowded path to his house, though he live deep in the woods”, or something like that. Sorry if I didn’t get the quote correct; the meaning is there...
And you make ME smile...I can’t tell you how much your friendship means to me— you are a light in the tunnel, a stalwart anchor in this stormy sea of troubles we’re all in, and you keep it all buoyed up with fun, and laughter, and scrumptious music, and genuine warmth and encouragement and sage commentary and, as we say in the medical field, TLC..
Yes, I know what you’re saying. I do believe that we (some of us) fall in love with the spiritual being in the person, as I did with a lady in the 1980’s.....”LOVE” is more powerful than gender. Don’t get me wrong...cowboys, construction workers, and jack- hammer operators yell loud to my Eros, and that’s what I “ want” , hands down. But then, along comes true, genuine love... Now, I’m not looking. Doesn’t mean I’m not open to the idea. Know any cowboys who moonlight as jack-hammer operators?
Well, I for one KNOW you’re beautiful all over / inside and out. You know, if I thought I had a snowball’s chance, I’d change to straight for you— (even if I had to get hypnotized or electrical- shock treatment or severe camp !
