RE: pyscotherapy

It is psychotherapy and, yes, an intelligent and educated person is always fencing with their shrink.
I am always a couple of steps ahead of my psychiatrist when we have our monthly chats.

RE: Wow, The women of my 50+ generation have completely changed!!!!!!!!!

Come to the Dark Side. We have cookies. (wish that there was a Darth Vader smilie)

RE: Wow, The women of my 50+ generation have completely changed!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps it is a cultural difference between American and Australian women.
During my visits to the USA I have not lacked female company, but here in Australia all that I have is my cats. rolling on the floor laughing
The local women are too contradictory and generally too much hard work.

RE: Wow, The women of my 50+ generation have completely changed!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately the universities here produce plenty of our own misandrist feminists who want to blame men for all their problems.
We have so many that we export them. Think Germain Greer, as nasty an old red as you will ever find.

RE: Wow, The women of my 50+ generation have completely changed!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps it is biology. Women of 50 + are usually post menopause (the average age for that event is 51), so they do not have hormones telling them to mate.

RE: counting your breaths because one day you will take your last one

I look forward to the day. I am over life. Were it not for the fact that I have to look after three children I would end it today.

RE: honesty

There is no such thing as being too honest, but there is the need for discretion. Sometimes it is better to remain silent.

RE: How to manipulate an election.

This is what some of the great men of US history have had to say about the subject.

"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." —Benjamin Franklin

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.” —Thomas Jefferson

“This Act (the Federal Reserve Act, Dec. 23rd 1913) establishes the most gigantic trust on earth. When the President (Woodrow Wilson) signs the Bill, the invisible government of the Monetary Power will be legalised... The worst legislative crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking and currency Bill.” —Charles Lindbergh Sr.

"The financial system has been turned over to the Federal Reserve Board. That Board asministers the finance system by authority of a purely profiteering group. The system is Private, conducted for the sole purpose of obtaining the greatest possible profits from the use of other people's money" —Charles A. Lindbergh Sr., 1923

“It’s taken almost two centuries for bankers to pull the wool over Americans’ eyes, but today you and I are working for intrinsically worthless paper that can be created by bureaucrats — created without sweat, without creative ability, without work, without anything but a decision by the Federal Reserve. This is the disease at the base of today’s monetary system. And like a cancer, it will spread until the system ultimately falls apart. This is the tragedy of the great lie. The great lie is that fiat paper represents a store of value, money of lasting wealth.”
—Richard Russell

RE: What do you think of a man having more than one wife? Like married!

Women are expensive to maintain and each one usually comes with a mother-in-law. Would I want more than one? HELL NO! doh

RE: negativity

That rules me out. rolling on the floor laughing

RE: values

Compassion and empaty are wasted on the undeserving, who see it as weakness and will exploit it.
Integrity is part of honour.

RE: death

Making plans?
What sort of volunteer work do you do?

RE: nature

Yes and if you wish to survive you also need a hierarchical society, so that it can function as a cohesive unit in the way that it responds to threats, both external and internal.
One of the problems with the thinking of the anarchists, which they are fundamentally to stupid to understand, is that they may want to live in disorder, but the tribe over the next hill will not and history tells us that as soon as that tribe recognises the weakness in the society that does not have effective leadership they will attack and take what the leaderless rabble have.

RE: carbon tax

The facts remain:
1. Professor Jones and friends were caught faking data and engaging in a consipracy to ruin the careers of anyone who dared to question their fraud.
2. The data shows that global warming stopped 16 years ago.
3. The evidence shows that the planet goes through warming and cooling cycles that are in sync with the cycles of the Sun.
4. Still waiting for the useful idiots of the global elite to try to explain away the Mediaeval warm period, which was so warm that the Vikings were able to farm in areas of Iceland that are today under ice and the oceans were much higher than they are today.

RE: Which dish could you eat for a week and not grow tired of?

Chicken Kiev, though a New York-style baked cheesecake that has berries in the mix, covered in a berry coulis, would be a close second.

RE: carbon tax

The Greens would say: "Ah, you turn on a light, cook your food, you actually eat food."
On a lighter note, you fart. We all fart. Methane is a greenhouse gas. rolling on the floor laughing

RE: carbon tax

Feel free to return to the stone age if that is what you want, but do not attempt to use the apparatus of the state to impose the misanthropic lunacy and lies of the Greens upon me.

RE: the book or the movie?

There are rules for correct use of the language. Anything outside of those rules demonstrates lack of education and often lack of intelligence.
Every time I go out in public I am forced to ask this question:

RE: where do you prefer to be

Your post reminded me of this song by an artist who calls himself Voltaire. You may enjoy it.

RE: where do you prefer to be

My favourite place is in bed asleep.
My second favourite place is at the dojo training.
My third favourite place is a good Italian restaurant or cafe. banana

RE: Have you ever experienced or seen anything supernatural/unexplained? Feel free to elaborate

I have seen plenty of supernatural events, none of which were unexplained or 'freaked me out'.
I am a practising occultist, so I understand such things. I have also been blessed with a modest degree of clairvoyance and an ability to see and speak with spirits.
Fear is caused by lack of understanding.

RE: I feel dead people

Never seen a naked spirit. Not sure why. laugh
I owe you an apology, too.
Turns out you were right about the iron ore coming from Sweden. I thought that it was Norwegan because it was shipped from a port in Norway and most of the material that has been written about the invasion of Norway refers to the need to secure the source of iron ore from Norway.

RE: the human race is one big family....?

In the case of Australia, that is fairly accurate.
About three quarters of the Anglo population of Australia have varying degrees of Irish in their mix.
I had an Irish grandmother. Lovely woman, but barking mad. rolling on the floor laughing

RE: the book or the movie?

My children call me Sheldon. moping

RE: the book or the movie?

The English would be horrified to hear this, but English is actually a German dialect. A thousand years ago the English and the Germans spoke the same language, because England was settled by Saxons who invaded after the Romans withdrew.
English has some words from other languages, as most languages have, but it is primarily a German dialect. The main influences are Latin and mediaeval French.
The English, as much as they may not want to face it, are actually Germans. laugh

RE: I feel dead people

I can feel the presence of dead people. Sometimes I see them too, if they want me to see them.
