So - You want directions from a professional, or would you rather rely upon the general public?

RE: Thread Killers

*And listens, in the distance, for the sound of yet another swansong.*

RE: What do you think of a woman thats got a little pushy!

I'd say... YEEE -- Nope, wait a minute, I didn't see the 'h'!

Nevermind! sigh

CS Get-together Picnic, Norris Dam Park, Knoxville, TN, Saturday, August 16th

Well, just let me know if there's any way I can help out. I mean, I won't actually make your reservations, but I can maybe tell you where to go. laugh

RE: I was thinking....

Yep, if God had never existed it would have been necessary to invent him. The point you're overlooking is that if Gentlepaws and the Kansan had never existed, it would not have been necessary to invent them.

wine

RE: Do you feel this way sometimes?

Yeah, it seems that every day I'm forced to add to the number of folks who can kiss my royal truck drivin' butt! laugh

RE: Guns or Doctors????

That works for me! The majority of my guns are muzzle loaders and don't require bullets. As for the rest, I'm perfectly capable of making my own thereby effectively lowering my tax base and personal expenditures while maintaining my rights and freedoms! thumbs up

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

There are plenty of motels down here, but I do my drinking at home. The terrain is entirely too reminiscent of Deliverance to take a chance of public intoxication. laugh

RE: Guns or Doctors????

Hmmmm... That'll be tough! I'm better armed than my doctor, but he's the one who ordered the colonoscopy. moping

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

Got my fingers crossed... We're still here and I'm still willing to loan you a couple of my aliens! thumbs up

RE: Guns or Doctors????

Gosh, Starlin! Somehow I kinda' thought you would be the last one to post something that paints guns in a favorable light.

bowing thumbs up

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

I'll be back tomorrow - Hope to God they're not having a race then! My poor ol' heart couldn't take another one of them!

Oh No...

The really funny part is that I was looking at "English Cucumbers" at the time... And it just started... "raining." laugh

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

They found me! wow

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

Okay, okay, I really do know now! They're scaring the dog piss out of a certain unsuspecting truckdriver who happily resides in Tennessee, but travels to Indiana on occasion.

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

Hey! Maybe they're protecting Hillary from snipers? idea

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

Naw, then they'd be 8 years and "less than two weeks" old.

laugh

Sorry Robert, my friend, just couldn't resist. handshake laugh

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

(Or plethora!) doh

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

WTF is an air rade? Sheesh! So much being a phetora of knowledge - can't even spell raid! frustrated

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

Hey, I'm here to... Uh... Okay, so I don't really know why I'm here, but at least I'm here.

Are you gonna' be here on the 16th? Gas is still dropping and the picnic grounds haven't had an air rade in at least 3 months!

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

Ok, 'nother guess! They're uh... Ummmmm... Sittin' in a picture on your profile!! Now did I win? Huh? Did I win this time?

RE: <~~~~~~~~~what could these fighter planes be doing?

Uh... Flying?

Did I win? Huh? Huh? Did I win? Well, did I? confused

RE: hi, guy #6 here

Welcome to the asylum!

I'm the guy who didn't star in or even see the movie, but whom everyone asks "Hey, didn't I see you in a movie?"

FWIW, We're having a get-together north of Knoxville on the 16th (two weeks from today) and Greensboro isn't all that far. Check out the thread, sign up and come on up! Gonna' be some good times!

Oh No...

As it turns out, we were in Wal-mart yesterday, browsing the produce section when the "misters" started up.

I started laughing and told Jackson, "We are not going anywhere near the toilet paper aisle!

Two weeks from today! Fun times for everyone!

yay yay yay

I'll try to get out an e-mail today, with directions to the picnic site for all those attending.

We still have plenty of room for more folks to sign up and we'd like to see as many as possible attending, but we really need to get an accurate count by this time next week as we'll start buying picnic supplies next Saturday.

Gonna' be some shinin' times in the hills of East Tennessee!

Ya'll come!

yay yay yay

RE: if you were an animal

Homo Sapiens - Top of the food chain.

CS Get-together Picnic, Norris Dam Park, Knoxville, TN, Saturday, August 16th

Yep! I'll 2nd that! (Or, in this case, 3rd or 4th it.) laugh

Oh No...

A Sense of Freshness ...

A new supermarket opened down town . It has an automatic
water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on,
you hear the sound of distant thunder and the smell of fresh rain.

When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and you
experience the scent of fresh mown hay.

In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled
steaks with onions.

When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle, and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying.

The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh
baked bread & cookies.

I don't buy toilet paper there. sigh

Hey Bob, welcome back!

By all means, we'd love to have you come on up - like Bev said, the more the merrier! - Do us a favor and go ahead and hit page one and sign up.

As far as that goes, if anyone who thinks they might be able to make it would go ahead and sign up, it'd make the job of those of of us who are planning this little to-do much easier.

We're probably going to lay in "supplies" and work out menu requirements on the weekend of the ninth and we'll use the sign-up page to determine what to plan for. And... Well... The simple fact is that we'd rather buy too much food than not enough. (Nothing worse than a picnic without enough food!)

So help us out by signing up - even if there's a chance that you can't make it - and we'll keep our fingers crossed that everyone can! yay

Only two weeks and two days left!!!!!

yay yay
