Yep, if God had never existed it would have been necessary to invent him. The point you're overlooking is that if Gentlepaws and the Kansan had never existed, it would not have been necessary to invent them.
That works for me! The majority of my guns are muzzle loaders and don't require bullets. As for the rest, I'm perfectly capable of making my own thereby effectively lowering my tax base and personal expenditures while maintaining my rights and freedoms!
There are plenty of motels down here, but I do my drinking at home. The terrain is entirely too reminiscent of Deliverance to take a chance of public intoxication.
Okay, okay, I really do know now! They're scaring the dog piss out of a certain unsuspecting truckdriver who happily resides in Tennessee, but travels to Indiana on occasion.
I'm the guy who didn't star in or even see the movie, but whom everyone asks "Hey, didn't I see you in a movie?"
FWIW, We're having a get-together north of Knoxville on the 16th (two weeks from today) and Greensboro isn't all that far. Check out the thread, sign up and come on up! Gonna' be some good times!
I'll try to get out an e-mail today, with directions to the picnic site for all those attending.
We still have plenty of room for more folks to sign up and we'd like to see as many as possible attending, but we really need to get an accurate count by this time next week as we'll start buying picnic supplies next Saturday.
Gonna' be some shinin' times in the hills of East Tennessee!
A new supermarket opened down town . It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of distant thunder and the smell of fresh rain.
When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and you experience the scent of fresh mown hay.
In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks with onions.
When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle, and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying.
The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread & cookies.
By all means, we'd love to have you come on up - like Bev said, the more the merrier! - Do us a favor and go ahead and hit page one and sign up.
As far as that goes, if anyone who thinks they might be able to make it would go ahead and sign up, it'd make the job of those of of us who are planning this little to-do much easier.
We're probably going to lay in "supplies" and work out menu requirements on the weekend of the ninth and we'll use the sign-up page to determine what to plan for. And... Well... The simple fact is that we'd rather buy too much food than not enough. (Nothing worse than a picnic without enough food!)
So help us out by signing up - even if there's a chance that you can't make it - and we'll keep our fingers crossed that everyone can!
CS Get-together Picnic, Norris Dam Park, Knoxville, TN, Saturday, August 16th
So - You want directions from a professional, or would you rather rely upon the general public?
