The crimes, the hypocrisy, the memory of it all,.....
I see beauty even in tragedy and imperfection; is it possible that we are human and some of us seriously flawed? Love thy enemy T, and choose to laugh when others would cry, short of going mad......
Time to be devil's advocate, only because I happen to see some problems with the theory of always being cheerful, which by the way, I'm all for it ; sometimes we are not at our best; that is when you need to be understood not rejected. We all need to be reassured sometimes.
Maybe you are thinking in terms of construcyive criticism, or taking a look realistically at one's own condition and shortcomings; I do not consider that to be negative at all, as it propels people into action sometimes as they realize it's needed. Negativity in the true sense of the word, at least to me, cannot imply anything good.
Remaining positive is so important, because it helps you to remain objective; once you've made up your mind to be negative,...... now that's a place few will manage to pull others out of. So I feel positivity gives things and people a chance.
There's a fine line between ego and dignity, and we can easily cross it in error, without realizing it, sometimes; but between being someone's doormat and being wrong I'd rather be wrong.
I totally agree with that. "Indifference" to someone's existence was there before you knew them and fell in love, and it returns when the love has run out.
