Well, for me...my friends tell me I'm "too picky"! I don't think so, and at my age now...I'm looking for someone that would be less likely to want a divorce later on. I want commitment, and there is no way of detecting that from another. Realistically...I don't have the years left, that I had 20-30 years ago. With what I have left...I would like to spend those in romantic bliss!

After being through two divorces, you can't help being more picky, cautious, and leary of the next possibility. I realize it's not fair to make someone else pay for past experiences. What is in the past, should stay in the past...but we still learn from the past.

The last I heard anything out of Buzzy, was the night I was explaining the "in and outs" of having a Vasectomy! He said no one was going to cut on his "Nads", and that's what prompt me to tell him how it was done...haven't heard a word from him since. Hope he is OK though!

All I was saying is that we should not be stripped of the opportunity to protect ourselves and family from those who want to do us harm.

We can't rely on protection from the authorities all the time...they can't be everywhere all the time.

So, sometimes we may have to step up, and protect ourselves. I hope this un-confuses you.

Anyway...this thread has gone a lot further than I thought it would. I found it had a lot of good input, as well as bad...so, I guess that makes for a good conversation.
