Question: ALCU...instigators?

Here in the states, a lot of times...they, ACLU, sometimes are found to interfere with events that gives them the chance to over-step their original purpose. It's like they want recognition on stuff that will/does create further media. To blow up an event to a larger issue than it really is.

This is just my opinion...I'm sure others have theirs as well.

cheers

Question: ALCU...instigators?

Sorry...title should have been "ACLU", and not ALCU...my mistake.

Question: ALCU...instigators?

This may help for those not familiar:

The ACLU's stated mission is "to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States

RE: photos

To me...it's like going "window shopping"!!

You go down town, look in all the windows for something that might catch your eye.

Less people would buy anything, if they couldn't at least see if it's what they are looking for, then and only then would they look at the descriptions of the said item (or person) to see if it would meet their requirements!

It's part of the "selling yourself" process. That's life.

RE: What is the fastest you've ever driven a car/truck on public highway?

That sure wasn't the same trooper I passed on I-65, in Atlanta, Ga.

I passed him sitting on the side, and me going 127mph in a 65mph, to which he informed me after he got me stopped!

Tip: Never use the excuse that "you were about to run out of gas, and you were just trying to find a gas station."

Trooper reply: "Sorry, son...but you don't run 127mph on an empty tank, looking for a gas station"!

RE: Why are there so many guys that post pictures that are 25 years old!

I knew there was another reason that you're an "alright person"! thumbs up thumbs up cheers

RE: "Stop ocean drilling," a letter to the USA Congress.

This is true, your right.

Maybe it's a good time to seriously start thinking more along the lines of alternative energy, i.e. solar energy.

We can put a man on the moon, and other places...why not another energy source?

RE: "Stop ocean drilling," a letter to the USA Congress.

This brings a question to my mind:

"If we continue to remove the fuel/oil from beneath the ground, then would that not create a vacuum of sorts?

I mean if we take out, and if nothing is left in the well..wouldn't the place of extraction stand a chance of caving in or collapsing?

Then if all the drilling and pumping of the contents, eventually causes an unbalance of the earth (don't panic, just wondering here), then what?

Will earth be thrown out of sync with it's orbit (possibly making it wobble to who knows where)?"

"Who'll give me a hundred dollars?
One hundred dollar bid, now two,

Two hundred dollar bid, now three,
now three hundred, will ya give me three?

Two hundred, two and a half, two-fifty,
How about two-fifty? fifty? fifty? fifty? I got it!

How about two sixty? sixty? sixty?
I've got two sixty, now seventy?
how about seventy? two-seventy?

RE: June 25th Michael Jackson Memorial (King of Pop)

1. How do you feel about his death?
Sorry that it happened, but we all are going too someday.

2. Were you a fan of him?
Sorry again, but not at all!

3. What about the King of pop you miss the most?
Sorry, but nothing!

RE: What Do You Think Of Computer Matches?

That is true...but computers, and life do hit "right on" at times.

And given the odds, they can win at times as well...there again, depending on the 2 people.

Life, as I said before...is a gamble. IMO

Good morning to ya HFJ...

cheers

RE: What Do You Think Of Computer Matches?

Thank you Sassy...good morning to ya also.

thumbs up cheers

RE: What Do You Think Of Computer Matches?

Computer matches...?

IMO...it's a lot like life...it's all just a "game of chance", like a slot machine in gambling.

It is still going to boil down to the actions/reactions of the 2 people involved.

No computer is going to let/make you fall in love!

Feeling lucky? Insert money, pull handle and watch your prospects roll right on past...where it stops, no one knows!

dunno cheers

WOW...

The closest thing to an "edit" button, would be the "preview post" button while in the editing/responding area.

I've learned to always preview my comment, before hitting the "post reply" button. It has saved me many times.
