In the years that I have been on these singles sites...and some have already dissolved and not even on line anymore...(telling my age now, and NO...I didn't know Christopher Columbus haha)...but I think it is just human nature, to hold back in selection, because we have the subconscious idea that with so many..."I'll just wait and see what else I can find"!.
If you go into the candy store, and they only have 3 or 4 to choose from...it would be easier that if they had thousands to select from. Reminds me of the quote: "decisions, decisions, decisions"!

You either have to select an individual state, like you said...or get in the mix of world-wide!
It would be more sensible to debate all this political stuff (or anything really) with people that it would have an effect on...not having to listen to the whole world on matters that don't concern them.

But I would think if you got that kind of money...power seems to come with it anyway.
I would have to think it to be popularity...but what a waste of money.
Really, if you stop and think about it...why would I (or anyone) want to have someone of that mentality, making important decisions concerning my life? I mean if they are no more responsible with their money...keep'em away from my money/future.
You should be able to call your local number, and it should ring in the other country...as long as the computer is on...and the magicjack is connected.
I've never tried to call anyone over seas...but it should be like a local number (since your calling your local number selected)
Like I said...I haven't tried calling someone that had one over seas..
What I have done with mine, is to have it to call forward all calls to my cell...portable enough for me. Plus you can dial the local number from your cell...or any phone...and call the person over seas.
You only need one computer...(the end that has the unit), no additional soft ware...I love mine...especially with the additional features...like 3-way, caller ID, I forget the rest...but it's the closest thing I've been able to find as a regular phone. The only draw back is that the computer that has the unit has to be on, and online. hey...but for $20 a year..I'm not complaining.
Get a MagicJack, (I have one and love it) for a special of $109.99.
This includes the unit plus 6 years of phone service. You select a number within your area code (so it is local for you).
Send the unit to the person you want to have it...they plug it into their computer by USB connection.
Now they will have a dial tone, and they can dial you regular phone, with it...not sure how the over-sea quality would be.
Now, also...all you have to do...to talk with them is to call the local number you selected for the MagicJack.
I have had mine for, coming up on 3 years now...and no one knows the difference in the quality of the call.
Just a suggestion, and here is the link to see/read more about it. I know I may have left out some of the info...but I am well pleased with it...After the 6 years runs out...it's only $20 a year...unless you opt for a 5year renewal for $69.99.
