Normal behaviour, in other words laugh

RE: Have women lost their femininity?

It wouldn't bother me if mowing produced a little extra testosterone anyway dunno
We have it anyway. It's not an alien species.

It also tones arm muscles.
Unless that is a bad thing too.

RE: Animal matters....

Who would have thought even 10 years ago that the vast majority of Irish people would vote for gay marriage? Or that it would even be on the agenda?
Enough dedicated people could put anything on the agenda.

But what I would target first is breeding. I would make it law that all breeders are licenced. If not licenced, they have to get their animals neutered. And of course, totally ban puppy farms.
By having only licenced breeders, then it is easier to control the registration of ownership. And then all related mistreatment etc, would be either eradicated or certainly easier to control.

RE: Animal matters....

Animal welfare is important to me as well. Very important.

I think Ireland, instead of just trying to match best practice, should becoming a beacon for other countries to try to aspire to.

We have changed totally in other areas of our thinking and legislation, why not this.

RE: You are what you eat ...

It was a short but sweet romance
C'est la vie

RE: Have women lost their femininity?

I don't know about there. But women HAD to give up their jobs here when they got married.
Not when they had kids, just by getting married.
And the kids were inevitable too as contraception was banned. Even for married women.
And you may ask, why get married? Society pretty much demanded that too.

So, although yes there were plenty of loved up happily married women with kids. There was also an enforced aspect to the whole situation.

RE: Have women lost their femininity?

I guess the lucky ones were the ones that felt fulfilled.

RE: You are what you eat ...

Oy, you jumped in when I wasn't expecting it

Are you a Mexican jumping bean? mumbling

RE: You are what you eat ...

Organic, fresh and doesn't wilt easily wink

RE: Have women lost their femininity?

I think it's what they hope exists in some parallel universe where women bat their eyes coquettishly, wear pretty summer dresses, hang onto their every word, are totally dependent on them, wait on them hand and foot, and love them unfailingly no matter their faults.

Or something like that laugh

RE: Have women lost their femininity?

If one shirks, the other has to pick up the mantle, be it male or female.

RE: The casting couch...

If you ever do in real life, I'll take you out for a pint cheers

RE: Have women lost their femininity?

Lots of women are forced to 'wear the pants' because the men won't take on the responsibilities of pants-wearing.

I know plenty of women who have to basically run the entire household even when there is a man there.
The smart ones eventually recognise the fact that it's easier to do it without the deadweight.

But in general, most would have been quite content to step back and let the man take on his manly responsibilities.
Few men or women want to be everything, to do everything. But if it's forced on them, they will.

RE: Have women lost their femininity?

The counter-argument to that is that girls who are brought up by single dads turn into testosterone-fuelled woman-haters.
Would you agree with that?

Or might it possibly be that children who are reared properly turn out to be well-adjusted humans, no matter who rears them?

RE: The casting couch...
