RE: What do you use ?

How many alcoholics does it take to change a lightbulb?

Just one - he holds the lightbulb and the whole world revolves around him.

RE: What do you use ?

wow that was reallllly bizarre

RE: What do you use ?

no meth user is w/o a pc if they want a pc

they have 4 pcs in parts in the other room

they will go get yours after selling theirs and then call the cops for you and stand as witness sayin they didnt hear anyone break in

RE: What do you use ?

Ask an alcoholic what time it is?

And he'll tell you how to build a clock cool

RE: What do you use ?

you cant cause anyone to do anythingdoh
we have to live in the world we cannot live in a bubble-
alcohol is in the world

if exposure alone is gonna allow someone to drink they have missed the point entirely. and then should drink until they die or get honeswt about the fact that it aint the alcohol thats the problem

alcohol is an inanimate object. it is harmless in some hands and no good in others. if someone quit and they dont get that its them that cant drink and not the alcohol itself well boo hoo for them cuz they are missin the boat

RE: Glenn Beck like or not.

i swear on all that is good and right

if political threads were banned at cs i would quit the place

well i am pretty sharp but yeah that clarification was really helpful after i got over my initial embarrassment

sometimes if im at work i am so drained that i can read a seemingly simple comment over and over and i just dont get it

brain dead

oh wait-those analogies are for another thread where they can surely cause controversyrolling on the floor laughing

thanks med- i did not know that and i will do some reading-i find that interesting but still feel appropriate then drinking tap waterconfused funny how the simplest things can confound me sometimes

i believe it may be early onset senility

RE: More than 1,000 blackbirds fall out of Arkansas sky

yes this is the nature of lemmings

and also 90% of CS membersgrin

RE: More than 1,000 blackbirds fall out of Arkansas sky

im no scientist of any type but as was mentioned aways back in the thread

this is the information age yada yada

while i think its a comfort and awesome to have such access to information i also think information by nature is altered when looked at too much

i think there have been strange phenomena and unexplainable (to man) events such as ice age or species going extinct etc that have happened since the planet began- whenever that was

i think man of today is too intellectually stimulated and has a crookedy hunger to 'know' stuff that is keeping him from doing as much as before

in the 60s people heard about something and did something about it

today we hear about something- research it post about it send a few chain emails maybe and thats it

we feel indignant at the 'bad guys' but we dont 'do' anything of consequence dunno

things happen with explanation we may never have
there is a grand design

i dunno or cant imagine that a species should go extinct in my reasoning but really- what do i know?

all this type of info research is like mental m**turbation. to me it seems something 'they' are using on us- like a shiny distraction- the arrogant yummy feeling we get- cuz we can find facts and look at us arent we smart

meanwhile we dont have any idea whats really happening and we also arent just being better to our neighbors either

we are all in here and places like this 'finding the truth'doh

meanwhile sometimes nature is just a freakhelp

RE: More than 1,000 blackbirds fall out of Arkansas sky

huh? stress wont mind it being discussed- after all he brought it up but i read that 3 times and still couldnt make sense what you meant...

hiya med- wave happy new year!

can you please explain am i erring or on track regarding refusing the bottled water?confused

RE: More than 1,000 blackbirds fall out of Arkansas sky

oh well

i drink tap water
i drink it in london chicago new york and l.a.
i have no problem with it and bottled water has a whole set of negatives of its own

i may consider getting a filter pitcher but i am not gonna go back to being so afraid or perfect or whatever that was when i refused to drink tap water

i will up my organic spinach intake and maybe slow down on red meat but im drinkin the water dammitmumbling

RE: Glenn Beck like or not.

seems strange for you to say ppl become more conservative.

i have done hospice care for years and my experience has been that as people age and approach death they become quite peaceful with understanding that things werent as rigid as they thought and they become more open and sharing

few become fear based and greedy

also a weird thing is that glenn beck was sensible and then began a complete personality change and found notariety.
i see it as a loss- i enjoyed him and i also find it scary-
its been like a 180 degree change- thats usually called a psychotic break
dunno

RE: Respect for religion?

respect is a funny word and it can be understood in such variable ways

so i cannot say i think that i have respect for other peoples views but i do know they are pretty much none of my business and that i have never been forced to read anything in all my born days.

so i guess i could say i can be respectful to all and their views.

and of that i am grateful.

it never has failed me- the more i remember how much stuff is just none of my business the more my feelings of inner peace increase-
and i like how that works outthumbs up

i have come to realize that my garden isnt weeded-maybe someday when its all in order i will have time to go to my neighbors and point out his weeds.

have a nice day everyone and thanks for the mails.

RE: Can Religion save the world?

hiiiii viva

of course you are right but people would have to cooperate and that aint gonna happen

RE: Can Religion save the world?

religion and religiosity never changed anything for the better

and faith was never meant to save the world

its always curious to me when relious people with the christian persuasion mention things like saving the world

i mean thats not scripturally accurate or ever mentioned as a goal anywhere in the bookconfused

so no

my answer is that 'religion' can not, should not, will not, nor desires to-- save the worldhandshake
