there is the pagan practise of burning the wicker man........ which is not evil, it is just burning of an effigy .........much like kids in the uk do with a guy fawkes dummy
its only evil if someone is burnt with the dummy .........and thats what happened in the film
druids did occasionally sacrifice humans .....and usually back long ago when they did that, it was volunteers who got burnt or criminals already condemed to die
the film the wicker man where it was stuffed with victims .........is a gross exaggeration , and just a film
in my opinion is being able to do what you want without the fear of consequences
what god has given you is this........ do what you like, i wont stop you but if you dont do what i say, youre going to hell
its similar to a mother saying to a child theres a bar of chocolate on the table eat it if you want
whatever the child does it is done purely by its own free will
however if the mother- similar to god says theres a bar of chocolate on the table eat it if you want but i dont want you to eat it..... and if you do im going to beat you
then its not freewill as the child may act out of fear of the consequences
freewill is not what god has given you he has given you conditional will,lets be honest.

i'll outline my beliefs, altho this thread isnt about that,

i have my own personal beliefs..... but i wouldnt preach my beliefs on anyone
ppl have to walk their own paths
i cant be convinced there is a one and only
i was born and confirmed catholic, but it didnt have any answers to questions that i asked
im wiccan practicing panentheist altho i belive there is a truth that exists, i think there is many paths to it i realise that any understanding of the finate and infinate by any mortal, is imperfect and limited
to me god is not all.but all is god......there is nothing that exists that isnt made up of divine energy
i dont believe ppl are born of sin, i beleive we are born clean, and beautiful, and full of potential
i dont believe in hell
i think that we make our choices and have to deal with the consequences, and should act out of love and not guilt
if you take a bible and put it outside lay it on the ground and leave it there, in the elements the words will soon disappear from the pages, due to the wind , the rain, the sun

i dont know how creation started ive never met anyone who can tell me it was "absolutely without question this way"
in wicca it is said all creation was born of the lord and the lady, which means we all are fruits of the lord and lady, so we all share in the divine
but even that is a myth ........ is a story, and i dont see the bible as being any dfferent
i dont really like seeing those types of threads either im all for ppl falling in love and even showing how much they love each other
but there is a time and a place for intimacy
im uncomfortable with ppl splashing their whole life across a forum or chatroom
its one thing for ppl to say you dont have to read it ........... but ya have to read it to know if ya wanna read it or not !! haha does that make sense?? lol
i dont mind knowing details of ppls lives ......... but i dont need to know everything about their lives
and certainly not for everyone including complete strangers to see
cos altho we make friends, even great lifelong friends or lovers over the computer .............most of the ppl we are talking to are complete strangers
if the threats are in your inbox here, then i guess you can report him, and hopefully he will get banned
other than that, if the threats were done away from the site, and he follows thru with that threat ......... it shows what a scumbag he really is
whatever you did , you did, you will suffer a bit of embarassment, but your friends will still be your friends......... and we all have skeletons in our closets, things we are ashamed of
