hi bodleing, i agree, at least he makes an effort to post and talk to ppl in here
how bout we limit ppl to a few threads a day , get rid of the word associations, person above, the last person is wotever, all gilly threads, all the other threads ppl find boring, the religious and the political, oh lets not forget the jokes and poems. and leave the 10 or so "intellectual " threads that will be left !!
another site i go to ........, completely unmoderated,ppl bump for 20-30 pages at a time
and the crowd there just laugh at it, and soon enough the threads they want to post in they find and bump back up again
half a page to a page of threads is hardly hard work to look thru
and i still think its bullying, to ask opinions so publicly about an individual
its a trial by peers and i think its a nasty way to conduct oneselves
if i was upset by someones conduct on here, i think i would like to try mail them, and get to know them, and see if i can reach a happy medium that way, not openly ridicule...........if talking to them wont work its not the end of the world is it ??
and this thread must have upset the person in question ........ cos i see a counter attack was launched
i wonder how many of us out in the big blue yonder will walk up to an aquaintance and tell them how annoying they are to us
oh, i know some ppl will do that, but an awful lot wont
if its meant as a joke .... then unfortunatley sometimes jokes backfire
i wanna know why ppl get so upset over capital letters
i dont care if caps or lower case are used
i often wonder who the first person to come up with the idea that its not polite to type in caps, and it was considered shouting in netiquette
i was in another site before and someone was using caps in the chatroom and the moderator told them to take the cap lock off ......said it was against the rules ........but i looked at the rules and it didnt mention it at all

i finally made the break and dumped my vcr..... was prehistoric anyway and took all the video films i had to the charity shop
well....... to various charity shops, as they said they didnt want to take too many of them, cos they dont sell too well anymore ........ the charity shops sell them on at 50p each so they aint gonna make a lot of profit from them
now i have a digi box i can record from that
and all the films i took of the kids as babies ive transferred to disc
and while we are on the subject .......... who still listens to cassette tapes rather than cds ??
i got rid of my cassettes eons ago
as for vinyl ........ i dont think my kids would know what a vinyl record is lol
but i gotta say ........ my dogs are the best, they are so loveable and always wanting to please, the cat does his own thing ........... well, the cat kinda thinks hes a dog anyway ....... eats their food, sleeps in their beds does the same tricks even
only think he wont do is go for a walk on a lead ........altho the kids have tried
he likes being put in the toy buggy tho and taken for a ride, and loves for the kids to dress him up with a frilly bonnet

Matthew says he was born in the reign of Herod who died in 4BC, while Luke says he was born during the census of Quirinius who took over the area in 6 - 7 AD, so that is a discrepancy of 10 to 15 years about his date of birth in the Bible. As for the month and date, the Roman Saturnalia was transformed into a celebration of Jesus' birth. If Gospel writers disagree by 15 years about when jesus was born, don't expect them to get the month and date consistent.
but i seem to remember discussing this years ago in school and the fact that the shepherds were watching their flocks, which never happened in december, or the winter months because there would be no grass for them to graze on
but thats to presume its a true story to start with
