i dont think ppl should primarily put all of their hopes on a site especially an international one they work, yes, i know some ppl who have met and found love online but nothing beats the real world,
like a pub, a gym, the shopping centre lol
ppl should keep their options open
that special someone could be sitting next to you on the bus tomorrow !!
i would like to say i take ppl at face value ....... but i do admit to letting stereotypes getting in the way sometimes..
for instance just the other day i was walking down the street, it was dark, and 4 boys all in hoodies were walking towards me ......... first thing i did was hold onto my bag tight and tuck it into my jacket .......
they passed on their way without incident, just a happy bunch of teens
but i did put them into the "this looks like trouble" catagory
i think they are misleading, but don't they sometimes influence your thinking and behaviour e.g.: blonds are dumb; all russains drink vodka; men are physically stronger than women, etc.
stereotyping is as old as we humans have been around...
but as humans we should be able to overcome it
do stereotypes dictate how you feel about someone/thing???
