The Malaysian government has bought the rights to tiny chips that can embed IDs into currency notes, bullets, passports and even inside human bodies, reported Malaysian daily The Star.

The government has acquired intellectual property rights to the chip -- now dubbed the Malaysian Microchip (MM) -- from Japanese research and development (R&D) company FEC, which designed it.

The chip can replace barcode tags in retail goods, and can be inserted into the human body, animals, bullets, credit cards and other items for verification purposes, said the report.

The made-in-Malaysia microchip measuring 0.5 mm X 0.5 mm -- the size of a decimal point -- uses the radio frequency identification (RFID) chip technology, and costs $0.10 (£0.06) each to produce.

A platform for the application of the chip’s underlying technology is currently being set up and is scheduled to be completed before the end of the year.

The microchip would be manufactured in Japan early next year but production would eventually move to a factory in Malaysia's northern Kedah state belonging to state-owned wafer fabrication firm Silterra (M) Sdn. Bhd, the country's Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said in the report.

The MM is a multi-band RFID chip, which means that it would also be usable in the United States and Europe, which have adopted a different RFID frequency standard from that in Japan, FEC officials said in the report.

Japanese firms are in the forefront of RFID technology. Hitachi, for example, is rumoured to be developing a speck-sized radio chip to be embedded into Euro currency notes as a security measure. At a recent Japan trade show, a demonstration of RFID technology allows retailers to track the movements of a consumer in a book store.

And do u know what is really scary... all this was prophesised.. guess where?.. the Bible... its all on track... read Pope Malachies prophesies also...

Yes absolutely... at the moment mankind are virtually on their knees.. we are being controlled by powers that we can't see that have their own agendas.. at first this was subtle but we are being dragged deeper and deeper into the system.. before long there will be identity microchips entered into each of us that will rob us of our civil liberties even more and those who don't submit to this level of control will find it impossible to buy a house.. get a job.. a bank account etc... there are more and more laws which bind us and keep us compliant... we are caught on a threadmill which is virtually impossible to get off.. we are tied to mortgages, jobs, bank loans, credit card bills... The rich are getting richer.. and so much more powerful because we are so easy to manipulate and control... this can't go on.... I think by the time God does intervene it will be at a point where we will have reached a point of sheer desperation... have met our darkest hour if you will... is possibly what happened around Moses time...

GOD V RELIGION

I believe in God... have done so from a very early age.. my faith came long before I ever even looked at the Bible.. it is not exactly encouraged in the Catholic faith... guess it suits them better to keep us ignorant... honestly I have only just started reading it (last couple of months)... and at first I was upset by what I read (I started with the old testament).. and more than a little confused... but if you read on.. the picture becomes a little clearer... now I haven't read the entire thing.. but I did go into it with an open mind.. perhaps the most convincing aspect it that much of what is prophesised is happening...gonna have to get into that tomorrow.. v late

As for Dogma... I don't believe in pushing my beliefs on anyone.. in fact I thing one of the important reasons why God gave us freewill in the first place is because he wants us to seek and find the answers for ourselves... I think like 'the prodical son' he wants us to return home of our own accord... he wants a commitment based on love and trust not fear.. he doesn't want a forced or arranged relationship he wants one willingly entered into...

Ok.. and even if I am wrong (and I don't believe I am).. faith does give one solace and peace smitten

GOD V RELIGION

I have... my views are clear... just a bit more subtle in my approach is all... the old testament is an example of God's wrath.. he is not beyond Wrath.. and according to the Bible he will intervene again... the ultimate extermination of Evil appears to be the path that the Bible is taking... I don't agree with many aspects of the old testament... who would?? but it has to be considered.. not only in the context of the time that it referred to but also the fact that God is said to have intervened at a time when intervention and the extermination of Evil was considered necessary... the Bible also asserts that he sent his son Jesus to save us.. lead us to him and teach us how to live... give us the tools so to speak.. God wants as many people as possible to be saved.. but he will definitely excercise Justice if need be... God is a god of pure love... and his aspiration is to achieve a state of pure love (in his image).. pure love can't exist alongside evil and hatred... U have to admit that evil (pure evil) is alive and kicking in the present times... God IS loving but at the end of the day he IS the boss grin

People should read the Bible themselves.. if they so wish... and make up their own minds... it seems that only one view has infiltrated through to this thread.. because of the Dogmatic approach...

I have my views too as do we all.... just doesn't have to feel like lying on train tracks... ::blues:

GOD V RELIGION

OMG!! double cringe blushing... I revealed that when I had one too many on St Steven's night... laugh

But yes I have never had any doubt as to the existence of God... he is very much present and with us... trouble is there are dark forces also which are very devious and intent on leading us into doubt..... I think their most successful ruse to date had been to infiltrate Religion at its core and lead us to fundamentally doubt both the existence of God and ourselves (i.e. mistrust eachother.. mankind)... this saddens me.. we have reached a point where we naturally assume that 'mankind' is bad to the core and there is nothing we can do about it... and we are caught in a trap of existence (the threadmill) which makes autonomy and self reliance seem like a necessity... our natural compass and freewill seemingly irreversibly twarted...

My belief in God doesn't need to be logically justified.. because the concept of God is above and beyond anything we can comprehend...if one wants to know him they just have to open their heart and take a look around... (I know this seems like a ridiculous thing to say because of all the apparent badness.. .that is what the open heart is for smile)

Blabbing again apologies...

RE: Global warming? Maybe not.

Hiya Bodeling wave

I know this is meant to be a light thread... so apologies in advance grin

My view on Global Warming is this..

It is not in dispute that we are abusing our planet
It is not in dispute that there are alot more toxic emissions being dispersed into the atmosphere, as a consequence of mass industrialisation, which were previous unknown to Earths atmosphere... It seems logical to me that this cannot be without consequence so previous arguments that this is 'just a cyclical thing' seem weak to me... there are very powerful vested interests in the US and Super Corporations who would prefer that this whole issue went away, so it doesn't surprise me now that there are 'newspaper' articles spewing up this stuff...

I think even if it is all a heap of crap... do we want to find out the hard way?.... i.e. reach the brink of disaster and the point of no return and then go 'ooops I should have listened to Al Gore'..I think not grin

Plus the added economic and other benefits make it still worth our while... i.e. cleaner/healthier environment...and less economic reliance on oil producing countries.... the OPEC countries have us caught by the short and curlies... they could switch on global recession at the touch of a button if they wished at the moment.. the development of alternative energy sources would hinder this power..... I say bring it on!!!! peace

RE: The relationship between chemistry & respect.

thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

I agree... pure Chemistry (of the really intense kind) can cloud the mind.. in that one can be a complete fool for a person and not be capable of seeing the wood from the trees...

A relationship which commences on the basis of friendship and respect (although a lil' chemistry is needed to allow things to develop further grin wink) means that the foundations are more solid to begin with...

RE: Do u feel u have ever had a truely successful relationship?

Some 'are' just meant for a short time... blushing laugh

RE: Do u feel u have ever had a truely successful relationship?

Depends what you define as successful..... not every relationship is meant to end in marriage... some or just meant for a short time...

I believe I have gained something from all my relationships (tho there wasn't that many laugh)... even the bad one... where I learned what NOT to go for laugh... all my other relationships were successful in that I really enjoyed being with those people and we ended on good terms...

RE: Do you forgive and forget what he/she did?

She 'didn't mean anything to him' is a bit of a cliche... sorry... she must have meant SOMETHING to him if it went on for the period of time that it did....

RE: Do you forgive and forget what he/she did?

Thats a really tough one... because while you have been with him for a while there is no firm commitment.. which means you still have the chance to get out relatively unscathed.... not a good omen for future longevity... but u never know...

I would say listen to ur deepest gut.. and listen to what it has to say.. even if you don't like what its telling u
