Have a look at my 'Soul Mate' thread ship.. true story.. a friend of my sisters has been unable to listen/play music since his wife passed away 10 years ago cause it was something they used to share together.. she died ten years ago... after 20 years of marriage... and he still apparently pines for her.. kinda sad for him.. poor bloke.. but wow!!!!

The above is an example of a basic Marriage Rite... the above is what marriage is supposed to be..

I think the reason people are so afraid of marriage is because it seems to have lost all significance and meaning...It is a contract between two people to the exclusion of all others and is basis purely on love and commitment...

I still believe in marriage and I am not afraid of it.. but the above is what I expect it to be.. so it will not be a decision I take lightly..

I have no children of my own... but I was there for the birth of my first nephew.. and I felt that.. an overwhelming sense of emotion, love and awe... I still have a huge soft spot for him and he has me completely wrapped around his finger

Whilst you put it in a rather harsh way.. there is some merit to what you say...

People mistrust honesty, because it is unusual for people to be completely honest...

Also people can be somewhat intimidated by honest people because perhaps it can make them feel uncomfortable about themselves..

See that can be a popular misconception.. that just cause a person is good looking that they are automatically going to be an arsehole.... I imagine guys can sometimes fall foul to that one...

Adverage people generally fair better.. cause more approachable and accessible.. JMHO

I honestly think that very few of us will ever experience anything like the level of love that he shared... god its kinda depressing...

I've experienced pretty intense love and this person will have a place in my heart forever.. but I was able to get over him and move on at the end of the day...

As sad as it seems.. it is pretty amazing and fortunate to be able to experience something like that... apparently they were best friends and childhood sweethearts who were inseperable when she were alive...

I would like to experience something like that.. but I just think it is sooo rare that it will be a blessing rather than an expectation..

Continue as friends and have no expectations.... at the very least you could acquire a special and life long friend.... the vast majority of relationships are destined to end... not a reason not to take the risk..ya never know... and maybe someday when YOU want to.. you may give the ol ciggies up... Just of the phone to my Sis there she was telling me about a friend of hers.. such a bitter sweet love story.. she was asking me to say a prayer for him.. apparently he was married to this girl for 20 years and since she died 10 years ago (Cancer) he cannot listen to music because it was something they used to be passionate about together.. awwww.. imagine loving someone that much.. lucky guy really when u think about it.. tho sad that he can't move on...

Has anyone ever experienced love THAT intense.. I think VERY few of us will love somebody to the degree that we can barely contemplate life without them...

Anyone ever experience anything close to that??

Geez..... you wouldn't allow for the possibility that sometimes things can happen??... gosh if I got angry with everyone who was late I would hate all my friends... Irish people (in my experience) are notorious for being late.. don't know whether its their optimistic laid back attitude to distance estimations or what.. but I just turn up late now ... so that I don't get fed up waiting..
