How important is sensuality to you...

Is it just something that comes on the side or is it of central importance... are u a sensual person who enjoys the intimacy that goes with sensual exploration...

RE: If the Mayans were right about 2012...would you be prepared to survive?? You've only got 4 years.

also the more I look into it the more it kinda makes sense.... bear with me cause I know this is ur very point....

some end time indicators

peace in Isreal...possible in our life time
Third Temple...... plans in place...
The breach of the covenant.... which is highly possible if a 'peace agreement' is derived from such fractious sources
The mark....... technology available and licence granted to produce identity chips which are anticipated will replace money

Now I may be completely wrong.. and hope I am but the more I look into these things.. i.e. the Bible, the Mayan, Nostrodamus, Malachi Prophosies.. the more I think its 'possible'... just 'possible' mind I am not prophet and I certainly don't have all the answers..

Just alot of coincidences... together with some rather coincidental synchronicities.. dunno

RE: If the Mayans were right about 2012...would you be prepared to survive?? You've only got 4 years.

There is a lot of validity to what u say B... and I am not proposing that my 'feelings' have any true foundation.. what I do 'feel' though is there is an element of synchronicity to the subject matter... I think that it is rather curious is all.... if as you say this feeling that something 'big' is going to happen could relate to anything.. why then have so many people (just in my small circle of family and friends) decided to attribute this feeling to this similar thing...

Personally for me it kinda came from nowhere and I was actually trying to convince myself that I was being ridiculous and felt even embarrased that I was thinking 'such things' however when I did speak to other people about it and they had similar feelings... It genuinely gave me shivers up my spine.. not all of them have internet either...

Just an observation.. thought would put it out there.. don't really propose to know the answer

Existence of God v Science

Hiya Ambrose wave

I see ur point... however do you not think it a little arrogant of man to assume that he has the capacity and intellectual capabilities to prove everything...

Belief in God takes a certain amount of submission... admitting that u r a small part of something bigger.. in a way this can be quite humbling.. don't ya think?

Some day I sincerely WISH the 'Religion' could forever be disassociated from God.....of course sadly this will never happen..though I believe them to be SEPERATE things... gives me an emotional response every time I mention God and then Religion is argued as a way to disprove him...not that I wish to debate or anything...I don't believe that you are attempting to do this.. just sayin...cheers grin

Existence of God v Science

Thanks Riya.. my flatmate gave me this wonderful book called 'the hand of God' with some lovely quotes in it.. so thought would share them.. no wish to really debate the point.... just sharing...

I have just found another lovely one...

"The human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe. We are like Children entering a huge library. The walls are covered to the ceilings with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone much have written these books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books... a mysterious order which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects"

Think thats lovely and very apt..

Really excellent post... I particularly like "science does not touch reality bare handed. Instead is uses the gloves of its theories"

Of course you are right... that is all the more reason me must as quoted (paraphrased) we must pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe... and if we fail to do that our eyes are as good as closed...Alber Einstein..

I don't think we will ever be able to 'prove' the existence of God per se.. but often this requires us broadening our perceptions and looking outside what has been proven...

Physics can to a reasonable degree of certainty (of course knowledge is always evolving) understand how the various interacting elements of life work within our present dimension of understanding.. and it is this 'understanding' which leads us to at least (even the most cynical among us) question the proposition that there must have been an all powerful architect.. the chances are just so remote that all the necessary elements come together as to be impossible... within our limited understanding of course.. which always has to be a factor when considering something of this magnitude..

cheers...

again excellent post... peace

Existence of God v Science

There was a method to my madness.. those who try to convince themselves and others that there is no God tend to use logically framed intellectual and scientific argument to 'prove' their theories....I am not trying to prove anything.. however I thought is worth posting some quotes from some of the most eminently intellectual minds that mankind has known...

Those shown.. believe in God or are at least open to the existence of God...Science/logic is not so polar opposite afterall grin

RE: ALL SICKNESS CAN BE CURED BY SPIRITHERAPY

Reiki healing and Chakras and all that is kinda related is it?... If we do have a 'spirit' inside us then most likely the form it will take is 'energy'... the presence of 'energy fields' within us has pretty much been established...

With Reiki.. therapy proceeds on the basis that there are blockages in the energies (I think BNatural probably better at this stuff).. so I think there is some merit to what you are saying.. don't know enough about it though sorry

Some quotes from some eminent scientists... food for thought..

I for one am acutely aware of my intellectual limitations and am interested in hearing some of the views of the 'experts'... of course these are only one view..

Food for thought though.. what do u reckon?

"A common sense interpretation of the facts suggests that a super intellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as chemistry and biology, and that there are no blind forces worth speaking about in nature. The numbers one calculates from the facts seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion almost beyond question."
Sir Fred Hoyle - British Mathematician, astronomer, and cosmologist

"Science wants to know the mechanism of the universe, religion the meaning. The two cannot be seperated. Many scientists feel there is no place in research for discussion of anything that sounds mystical. But it is unreasonable to think we already know about the natural world to be confident about totality of forces."
Charles Townes - Physicist, Nobel Prize Winner

"The most beautiful things we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
Albert Einstein

"I still believe the universe has a beginning in real time, at a Big Bang. But there's another kind of time, imaginery time, at right angles to real time, in which the universe has no beginning or end. This would mean that the way the universe began would be determined by the laws of pysics. One wouldn't have to say that God chose to set the universe going in some arbitary way that we couldn't understand. It says nothing about whether or not God exists... just that he is not arbitary."
Stephen Hawking

"What is it that breathes fire into the equations and makes a universe for them to govern?... Although science may solve the problem of how the universe began, it cannot answer the question: Why does the universe bother to exist? I don't know the answer to that."
Stephen Hawking

RE: whats a 'good human being ' ?

being non-judgmental is an important component I reckon... alot of our badness is based on insecurity, fear and ego

Allowing people to just be and not being judgmental gives us some hope of finding a common ground...

RE: How can I be "too young"?

Im afraid I have to be honest here... at your age... it can make a difference.. depends on where the girl is at... e.g. if she is looking for a 'longterm' committed relationship or if she is only looking for a bit of fun...

bit of fun... sure... but the thing is alot of girls over the age of 25 are starting to think about some kind of commitment... not in the sense that they want to drag the guy kickin and screaming up the aisle.. but something which has potential...

At 21 (and rightly so!!) you are out there to have fun, party, get with the girls for fun times etc.. your entitlement and obligation as a 21 year old (lucky b***tard!! :grin)...

Don't take it personally...

BTW ur cute... take it as a compliment

RE: If the Mayans were right about 2012...would you be prepared to survive?? You've only got 4 years.

I am in agreement with you.. for example, quite out of the blue in the last say 6 months I have had a 'feeling' that there is something 'big' about to happen and I have all of a sudden become quite concerned about end times predictions, and spirituality.. I have even begun reading the bible (for the first time in my life) alot of what I have been thinking and what I have been viewing... has been turning up on this site coincidentally and it appears that I am seemingly one of many who has these concerns and this 'need to seek out knowledge and thruth'....and bizarrly when I have spoken to some friends and family... they have said the same thing.. especially people of a 'spiritual disposition'...

The Mayan calendar also predicts that we are entering an era of escalated human consciousness.. this makes sense to me.. also in the Bible it has been said in numerous passages that when the end times are near.. knowledge will be given to those who are open to it...

Food for thought... perhaps? hug

Cool that means my theory could work then... I had a theory.. but the theory depended on their being a similar area on the opposite side of the planet with similar phenomena..

My theory is based on magnetic poles and combined effects with true north and south... gravitational pull and earths axis...that kind of thing..

What did the doc have to say about it..

Interesting hmmm
