Yeah, that's the right location... but it had a different name. My cousin lives and goes to Uni. in Aberdeen, I was living there before I came here and almost rented one of the cottages, they are really lovely but very expensive!

I was in sales and traveled all over the states... if you get a chance to go to Lake OK, you should go... it was great, they have something simalar to an old fashioned beach boardwalk and some good bars... I still remember the band I heard there... Akasha, they were really good, and cute!

No, it's not called N. Square... It's right near the beach and they are little cottages, but at one time were fishermans shacks

I have good memories of Iowa, I was wandering around Spencer trying to find some entertainment and heard some music... I followed the sound and opened a door and wound up in the middle of an Elks lodge dance... before I could escape an old guy grabbed me and pulled me out on the dance floor, I must have danced every polka ever written It was a couple of hours before I escaped, but I have to admit it was a laugh!

BEB, How are you tonight? I spent about 6 weeks in Iowa many years ago, I was in Spencer and then went to Lake Okaboji (I'm sure that's spelled wrong) for the 4th of July, are you near either of those area?

I was raised in the church, went to Sunday school, high school youth group, became a Sunday school teacher and a deacon of the church. I never thought to question the beliefs I was raised with until I reached my 20's, and when I started questioning, I didn't find answers that I could believe.

I began studying the Bible and took a University course on Theology and the Bible. The more I learned the less I believed. The biggest problem I had was this attitude that each religion believes that their way is the only way. All of the other Saviors listed in the previous posts had similar stories, all have writings that "came from God". What makes one more valid than another?

Christians look back on pre christian religions and think they were based on myth, how far into the future do you think it will be before Christianity is looked at the same way?

So, deconditioning? No, intellectual pursuit.

Maybe we can all take a lesson from the Aussie's...

Yes, there have been horrible tragedies throughout history, I posted this because I thought if was refreshing to hear a government accept responsibility for its actions, apologize and not make excuses.

No one ever really believed in witchcraft, it's a means of silencing a strong woman and it's disgusting that it continues today.

I don't think anyone can answer that but you. We all have different things that we can and can't live with. Only you know what kind of relationship you share and whether or not you feel you can trust him again. The fact that you're stressing the fact that it is broken off makes me think that maybe you want to try to work through it.

If I were to follow any religion it would be paganism, and I can't believe that there are people who think it has anything to do with devil worshipping!!!

As I have made it very clear, I am anti organized religion, but that doesn't mean I don't believe in something... that said I think this is a beautiful poem.

I dreamed I had an interview with God.

“So you would like to interview me?” God asked.

The only thing I can think of is my marrige, I married on the rebound and woke up the morning after my wedding saying "OMG what have I done?", but if I hadn't married him then I wouldn't have my amazing daughter... so I would change nothing!
