RE: USA Citizens now band from traveling to England and Ireland ... Aye Corona ... My Sharona

Apart from gays and HIV I don’t think there’s been any learning to live with anything. Survived anyway without having to a learn a thing that’s what modern medicine has done along with other things. When I was a boy people still washed their hands before meals and now it’s all snacks, fast-food and finishing work at 3am.

RE: Will Coronavirus Kill 3/4 Of Earth's Population?

In the next month or so we'll find out if any drugs can be repurposed for coronavirus. My suspicion is that some of the drugs will work, but not well. There won't be enough drugs to give them out on day 1 but giving them out on day 1 would be what works.

More than this they need to know why the kids don't get ill, making my own terms up here but it's likely something to do with their immunological plasticity. Their immune system that is supposed to be naive, not set in its ways.

RE: Will Coronavirus Kill 3/4 Of Earth's Population?

1% and a few more % with potentially permanent lung damage.

RE: If you had to choose a partner with the following, which would it be?

Gotta go with missing an arm although I didn't realise that actually did happen. I thought it was a cast. I nearly said that people like her should be made to wear stickers but then I remembered she was a Jew.

RE: FF News: "Cryptic Crypto,' said to FALL says The Wolf of Wall Street, Omar Abdulla?

And you can see how it evolved. The west saturated itself with white collar work and marketing departments because baby boomers are terrified of physical labour. Productive work was looked down upon in the new age of money movers and sophists and with this came our dependence on debt and countries that really don’t like us.

And fair trade isn’t a brand, a little logo printed on the packaging. Fair trade is the practice of trading amongst equals wherever possible, dealing with people who do have a leg to stand for the benefit of both parties. We wouldn’t expect Manchester United to play football against Congleton Town F.C, we would consider that unhealthy competition.

Melania Trump is hot but she clearly hates the guy. Rightly speaking Donald should have an American wife or similar not this foreign trophy piece.

Perhaps the Coronavirus will usher in a new era of patriots who aren’t taking the piss.

And hopefully AI makes a difference. Many English people call themselves teachers because they can speak one language - their own - and hopefully robots drive these berks out of a job and into doing something with their life. The English-speaking west has been uniquely positioned to rest on its laurels which is encapsulated by calling yourself a teacher because you speak your own language.

RE: FF News: "Cryptic Crypto,' said to FALL says The Wolf of Wall Street, Omar Abdulla?

And that’s the point. When a pensioner takes money out of Britain and lives like a King in the Far East this seems like a free lunch. It seems like the British taxpayer can pay for you to live like a king without any losers only it’s not true. Eventually Britain wouldn’t be that high status nation where the wealth gap afford the average joe a staff of non-white concubines.

RE: FF News: "Cryptic Crypto,' said to FALL says The Wolf of Wall Street, Omar Abdulla?

We have to turn against global capitalism if only to give our kids the chance to make the same mistakes all over again. As they most certainly will.

We’ve had decades of the jolly living off the difference between the first world and the rest but something goes wrong with this just as it did so in 1919 and 1929. For the first time since the free market madmen running the world before the world wars we have guaranteed a worse life the kids. For a finite amount of time we can live off the fact we were born much richer than most everybody else, but it can’t go on forever.

RE: FF News: "Cryptic Crypto,' said to FALL says The Wolf of Wall Street, Omar Abdulla?

Make do and mend instead of Made in China if you’re thinking green. Even before the virus there are loads to curb built-in obsolescence, the practice of making products that are irreparable or break before their time so you buy more of them.

An alternative to imports is to have a better skill of domestic workers capable of servicing make do and mend. The Tv repairman becomes a job once again and an okay job at that.

RE: FF News: "Cryptic Crypto,' said to FALL says The Wolf of Wall Street, Omar Abdulla?

I wonder if in some way it’ll take us back to the 1950s: we employ no foreigner if it makes a native unemployed, we import no good that the nation relies on a crisis. For reasons of both social and national security the free market madmen are prevented from ruling the globe.

RE: FF News: "Cryptic Crypto,' said to FALL says The Wolf of Wall Street, Omar Abdulla?

I wonder if it will change anything. At the moment the west is completely reliant on going into the backward, filthy countries and exploiting these people to produce cheap sweated goods. Global capitalism exists to target those with no protection and absolutely nothing until it all blows up in our stupid face. Again.

RE: The Connecting Singles Site Really Works

I hate being friends with an ex and that’s one thing we can cling onto online. Badda bing badda bye.

RE: Why do people like to get scared?

Throughout history was advantageous to assume the bear would kill you and that’s fundamentally the reason for the bond with other people. To help face scary things.

RE: Are you concerned?

The world is complicated but possessed with a lazy cynicism and sneering ironic take on everything. We are living through the peak of Gen X with that interesting mixture of Bart Simpson and Kurt Cobain, the culture is like the sluggish apathy you feel after a large meal but like I say the world is very complicated. More complicated everyday, the idea of anyone being in control is ridiculous.

RE: Fear For Profit

Gotta say there's an irony to it all because of the leave vote. The closest thing to what's happening now would be a no-deal Brexit and we can thank that third of Leave voters who voted Leave expecting it to be difficult. We're somewhat prepared for this because of them this type of Leave voter largely comprised of the very old. The very old see Brexit not as a free lunch but more as something that will make us appreciate what we've had, something that will force us to make better use of our skills and resources.

RE: Fear For Profit

One of the reasons China has been able to tackle the spread is because they're not snowflakes. You see Chinese police dragging people by the scruff of their neck and then you see white people mewling about whether they'll get their booking fee back. What would we do if there was a war on?

RE: Fear For Profit

Fear doesn't turn a profit. Trust and getting over yourself turn a profit, getting over your dead relatives turns a profit. Value all human life as less turns a profit because at the moment there's no way to compensate everyone in the same way you'd compensate one. If masses of people break their spines at work they don't all become millionaires. One person becomes a millionaire through personal injury claim at the expense of all the other workers. One life is valued at the expense of all others, if many get sick or injured you'd probably find your spine was worth about £5000. The great value of your personal compensation can only exist due to the rarity of tragedy in general. The compensation we expect for our suffering is massively over-valued and this is a real problem if fate stops being kind to you.

RE: Fear For Profit

And the problem with being doted on by fate is you don't really believe in bad luck. There's no such a thing as a mistake, only litigation. All the usual instances of misfortune are rebadged as where there's blame there's a claim. The golden age ends by becoming accustomed to it, the moment life is hard society bursts into pieces like a frog. Like commies in the 1990s.

RE: Fear For Profit

One look at through history is a warning to children of the golden age. You were born in the wake of brand new antibiotics, polio vaccines and first-rate healthcare systems I have to stress the luck involved in nothing bad ever happening. Nothing like this anyway.

RE: Fear For Profit

Not to mention the chance of any future coronavirus being less considerate than this one. A coronavirus could do more than take out the burdens of society, chance is the reason covid-19 isn't as bad as the Spanish flu or the black death.
