RE: Nuclear Weapons

“If the day should ever come when we must go, if some day we are compelled to leave the scene of history, we will slam the door so hard that the universe will shake and mankind will stand back in stupefaction..”

? Joseph Goebbels

That's a perfect example of the attitude not to have if it came down to it.

RE: Nuclear Weapons

It wouldn't do much good to say otherwise. Although the ideal is someone who says one thing and does another. In a case of mutally assured destruction what you actually want is the wisdom and Jesus not to retaliate. You're definitely dead but does everyone else have to die? That's the only question.

RE: Women been here for YEARS looking for serious relationship!!!!

Today's fast-food culture of instant gratification has a dubious underbelly of self-induced victimhood. It's to create the sense that you've forged your path through the 21st century in struggle. Playing hard to get comes from this, in luxury society the scarcity of precious metal is far more important than the abundant water of life. What is needed or what is good is not what is wanted, what is wanted is a complete waste of time and energy that symbolises status. It is to make life challenging.

RE: The world is going to shít, isn't it?

Anxiety at root bottom is the feeling that you’re doing the wrong thing and it’ll get you in the end. You don’t trust yourself feeling a comeuppance is due that never comes. However, what the right to do is equally unclear. Anxiety behaves as expected, it has a pathological need to satisfy what it thinks the other wants whilst simultaneously having no clue what that is. You’ve always been here fighting for something although you haven’t a clue where you stand, and it all feels like falling.

RE: What Is Love ?

Love is the best type of chancer there is - high on life but you can also rely on it. When in love you have all this power but you’re frankly delighted by simple pleasures at the same time.

RE: What Is Love ?

You can’t plan fun or control fate, love is the same mixture of grace and injustice. It’s not what you deserve and not what you’ve decided so trust in the unknown, loves assumption is that fate will be kindly today.

RE: What is the greatest threat to mankind today?

The speed and motion of the century meeting it’s aging population. Evolution without the cycle of life, death and rebirth. The establishment expects great changes, but the species requires the way things were. Being our age mans stubbornness will overwhelm mans curiosity, and the disconnect will be the downfall of society. We cannot survive without young life.

RE: Are looks important

I say that with more people my age in mind. I’d like to believe that you all look a bit deeper at 60. By that age both pretty and cool are wisely and compassionately devalued to some extent.

RE: Are looks important

A handsome man isn’t a winner by default and an ugly man isn’t a loser by default. Good looks are an “in” a potential gamechanger, but cool is the dealbreaker.

But a beautiful woman is a winner and an ugly woman is a loser. Looks are a dealbreaker and whether she’s a decent person would be the gamechanger.

A woman places more importance on being a woman - I.e. being valuable for what you’re born with, being worth something for existing - which is a double-edged sword because it means the ugly woman is a loser for what she’s born with. The woman’s prerogative won’t get very far if she looks like crap.

RE: Should dolphins be treated as our equals

It justifies why we try quite hard to conserve them although I also believe that the life of a dolphin is fundamentally different to our own. How can you talk about equality when they don’t have the ability to talk back?

RE: What do women think of…unlimited immigration?

Mass immigration is the pinnacle of left-wing own goals because the melting pot is the best way to create people who won't want to share. If you want the people to be up themselves and mercenary you make them as diverse as America and New York. You need to foster rootless individualism to inspire every man for himself, neighbours who wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire - that's what the melting pot is.

RE: The planet

Aldi fits another emerging norm which I'm a big fan of - working hard for 20-25 hours a week and getting paid more per hour. No more of this attending the workplace for 40 hours a week business - getting paid to show up is so last century - and if we implement a basic income there's a better chance of people still working on the principle of fewer, better working hours.

RE: The planet

Not just aldi but the internet, too. These things can and will be used to defeat an obsolete and decadent system of shopping malls and warehouse-sized supermarkets.

RE: The planet

Hopefully we can adapt to something more like Aldi the home of the intelligent consumer and highly-efficient worker. There's some inconvenience and little marketing involved at Aldi but what you get is a superior product for minimal carbon footprint and cost. Aldi shoppers tend to buy more of what they want and need instead of what they're put upon to buy. This somewhat less convenient yet more intelligent shop should be a model for many industries.

RE: The planet

The emasculation of society is resulting in men with a point to prove no matter how pointless the point. It's a type of fruitless and/or frustrated hyperambition - ventures that will leave absolutely nothing for tomorrow prompted by the inferiority complex of today. This need to impress others is growing way out of hand. All is vanity.

RE: The planet

By itself a dwindling posterity promotes ruthless yuppy short-term thinking if there isn't some prior connection between business and the balls that don't work, but I think there is. Organic and physical inferiority heightens the love of money and material possessions.

RE: (( Stealing FOOD From Veterans)) How should they Punish them if Caught?

If not for the army many young men would be out there now menacing the old people and by somehow managing to stay out of prison they do a service to the country. I'm talking about squaddies. Keeping them well fed is probably a wise idea considering they love violence and kill people for fun.

RE: How many CS members still live at home?

A virtuous father creates a vicious son because of no good deed goes unpunished. The question today is whether this will work the other way. Will the salted earth inherited by young people make posterity less of a selfish moral blank?

RE: How many CS members still live at home?

Nostalgia isn't just a sentiment. If you've spent your whole life taking civilisation downhill then they objectively were the good old days. The west is the total opposite of the east.

RE: How many CS members still live at home?

Over the course of the baby boomer lifetime the western world has gone from superpower to for want of a better term sub-developed. Three generations living under one roof is increasingly a thing like in the developing world. The late 20th century was a treat you know the survivors of world war 2 felt like they owed their children a living, and the baby boomers took from that everything before rounding them up into nursing homes and making posterity pay the bill. Genius.

RE: Do your ancestors care about you...........?

Your ancestors are alive in you and then some. You'd blend seamlessly into the society of 17th century ireland, apart from the tan.

RE: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF WHATS GOING ON IN HONG KONG??

The absence of pain and struggle is not a good thing. Painkiller society might reduce suffering in the short term but it’s damaging to the character and moral fibre of society. Arrogance and impatience dominate along with suspicion, slight inconveniences become regarded as actual pain and from here the society can go up like a powderkeg. Victimhood abounds on the left and right because the slightest negative becomes a massive deal.

RE: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF WHATS GOING ON IN HONG KONG??

Modern warfare is probably too detached from the danger of conflict for it to instigate a humbling. The modern solider is closer to a game of call of duty than the grizzly reality of the world wars. The modern solider volunteers for combat because he loves violence - which wasn’t always the case.

Fights and certainly fair fights will increasingly come in the form of civil unrest. Start that fight and you will suffer personally. Bloodlust can only reduce in the context of Mano o Mano when it’s you that suffers on account of that.

RE: Jealousy

If jealousy wants to possess then envy always wanted to be adored. A combination of both wants to be admired, vanity with pride is the trendsetter in the department not a dedicated follower of fashion you want the public to follow you. And to have neither jealousy or envy is indifference to the game. Neither a leader nor a follower be.

RE: The damage feminism has done to women and society

Not that I wouldn’t prefer to change the wages in football myself. I deplore the society that valued Wayne Rooney way above the brain surgeon. Equal pay between professional male footballers and scientists male or female would be my dream.
