RE: It's Getting Worse

RE: now, again

Trump is intelligent in a different way. People smarts at the expense of certain critical faculties, defying liberals in every way to create the image that if you opened up his chest it would not be full of wires.

Because that’s what modern politics. A fight between social intelligence and sociologists. Social cripples study sociology precisely because they’re socially inept and don’t study physics because their dad didn’t hit them hard enough, and then try to rewrite society along academic lines. This is exactly what the rebels are rebelling against.

With the exception of Bernie and his socialism. Not only is Bernie along amongst democrats in having a pulse, socialism proper is the only way society hasn’t moved to the left these last 70 years. Gay, blind and black is one thing we know that certain minorities are better off today, but the truth is that there was a lot more Robin Hood going on in the 1950s compared to now.

RE: Would you prefer to stay together and live apart with your partner?

Autistic because we are hard to live with, and hard to live with because we are autistic. It’s a vicious cycle.

One theory of autism claims that the detached way we live our lives increasingly avoiding human physical contact is creating the modern cyborg. And that cyborg is basically the source of autism.

RE: Living the American Dream 1950s Suburban Life

Even in the 1950s itself was a bit of a freak. They build themselves a garden after the war and I reckon Elvis, the Beatles truly tapped into how bored and frustrated women were in their newfound sense of post-war idleness. The 1950s was built on the spoils of war and underpopulation, after the war you arrived at state where you had more resources to go around fewer people in addition to technical abilities significantly improved by the war. You were guaranteed a life on easy street and this led into the 1960s and eventually into "made in China". What began as machinery doing the work for you - which is quite sustainable - created the appetite to find anyone and everything to do the work for you.

If you really want to get women back into being a real housewife you have to take the mormon route. Abandon technology and replace all modern economic "activity" with honest work.

RE: Living the American Dream 1950s Suburban Life

And that's the dirty secret of the 1950s. How ridiculously easy it was to get a decent job and home is what triggered second wave feminism. And by the time you'd abolished conscription the deal was sealed. The 1960s were a direct consequence of how easy prosperity was in the 1950s - the little effort required for you to flourish is what ultimately makes a liberal.

RE: Living the American Dream 1950s Suburban Life

But some things are changing. You won't find that many millennial women who regard their employer as a symbol of freedom and empowerment, excluding the influencers on Youtube the few who make money from doing what they'd be doing anyway the many have to work quite hard. It will take two of you working twice as hard to get that 1950s home in suburbs, in 2019 work requires 4 times the effort to receive the same amount which is why our women love their bosses less and their boyfriends a little more.

RE: Amsterdam: Businessman Returns From Vacation to Find His Property Occupied by 40 Asylum Seekers

And even then I'd describe the role of new money in liberalism as necessary, but not sufficient. It needs education, too, yet there's no shortage of people telling you why you must be liberal, but there is a shortage of reasons to be liberal. And that needs to be reversed. Give us anything like the start in life people had in the 1950s and liberalism will soon flower, deliver the opposite and don't be surprised when the attitudes of the day resemble the 1960s inverted like they do today.

RE: Amsterdam: Businessman Returns From Vacation to Find His Property Occupied by 40 Asylum Seekers

Imo the liberals are after some sort of technological wonder cure and they would be wise to suspend all their cultural policies until the doubling of the average man's quality of life and opportunity has been achieved. To keep on hammering us with immigrants in a context of scarcity is only going to go one way: Hell. But in future we could develop a matrix world for immigrants where we plug them into a tube and that is to a great extent the last you'll hear from them until they're safe to go home.

The republic of letters and the man and woman from anywhere don't simply fall from the sky. No, money, power and technology - you have to bribed into being a liberal through a life of relative luxury and ease and a future that promises more of this.

RE: Amsterdam: Businessman Returns From Vacation to Find His Property Occupied by 40 Asylum Seekers

Brexit is 80% gesture, the two-fingered gesture. But Britain will still have the same money, media and middle class that it did before, it'll be less nationalistic than Orban's Hungary within the EU. And that could be the irony. Through Leaving Britain avoids becoming a member of the white nationalist superblock the EU implodes into.

RE: Travel ur own country first....

We like to travel round and round the world until we've reached some interesting conclusions. The breadth of extracurricular activity is mandatory in a way, our economic system in the west is in itself extracurricular like an inverted Singapore - an employer here may place great value in swanning round the world as though that was the answer to something.

RE: men or women…who should be the first...to use the L word?

What doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Think on

RE: men or women…who should be the first...to use the L word?

Yes, but on the other hand life's too short. Are we better off to win the day like machiavelli only to die surrounded by children only there because of what's written in the will?

RE: They Tried to WARN Us!!!

If she believes in a higher power she'll be more of a slag, not less. You've been warned.

RE: It's Getting Worse

And in the old days uni was free if you were any damn good. I agree with the garden on this one. What good has profit-seeking higher education done for anyone? A whole new field for diploma mills to be opened up - diploma mills that were once a perfectly good indoor swimming pool - packed to the rafters with debts and dud students.

RE: It's Getting Worse

Development basically means that we become more like the New Yorker over time. Shallow, plastic and more urbanised.

The greatest generation dug deep into their own pockets to provide posterity with affordable housing and build great estates in the suburbs, to create 9-5 jobs for life(with a union, too) - m**turbating on the toilet half the working day was no reason to get sacked in the 1960s, and even if you did nobody would bat an eye if you went on the social for 40 years.

RE: It's Getting Worse

We can't compare the post-war garden with the competition and speed of the cutthroat 21st century.

RE: So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Don’t be a winner because it’ll spoil you. Be a soulful loser.

RE: Greta and the Tsunami of Male Hatred.

The liberals won’t deliver the goods and the modern equivalent of Dickensian Britain will remain the workhorse of the world. China. It’s a bit of a fight between honest work and modern duplicity.

RE: The Myth of Happiness.

To be responsible without living relentlessly in the real world. The world would mean nothing if there wasn’t room to be mildly intoxicated. 2 drinks.

RE: Do you think your better of alone.?

Sometimes is the answer to that. It would be a bit rich for me to scorn selfish me-time where I don’t pay any attention to you at all.

RE: Do you think your better of alone.?

I believe we are alone in these times because we are better off in that lonely at the top way. In the first world and particularly the first of all first worlds, the Protestant nerd world where trade and industry gave us options instead of others. The society where wages replaced community in the absolute.
