RE: What Is The Best Way To Detect And Solve Problems Related With Illegal Immigrants In A Country ?

Right-wing dogs. A breed of vicious killer patrolling the borders on a tight leash, nobody ever told that dog it was a good dog.

RE: "Spiritual But Not Religious"

There are people who want nothing out of this world apart from food and water, but that is different to the type of luxury drifter we see today.

RE: "Spiritual But Not Religious"

Materialistic world religion contends that the whole world is basically poor Americans and the whole world can be converted into stateless tribes of consumers through the market. It is a vague sense that there's something rotten about the west and modernity, but no real discipline to do anything about it.

RE: "Spiritual But Not Religious"

The modern world is a materialistic religion and the very heart and soul of the world religion - the westerner - wants to distance themselves from that... in the most convenient way possible. It is a way not to be western although it completely is.

RE: What is England known for...?

Being known as the whole of Britain across the world. Which is a mistake.. technically speaking. English nationalism was alwayys played down because, well, we'd built a huge empire not about to be convincing others of anything. It's not a sob story. We were known for putting a sensible deal on the table that you accept or we shoot you.

RE: I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you.

And this is the difference between William and Harry. There's the noble path to aristocracy and there is a modern celebrity path to aristocracy the former is a tradition where the latter is effectively appointed by the least amongst us. One is a role model and the other is a fluffer.

RE: I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you.

The freedom to live as one wants.. before the 1960s there were Victorian rich kids intent on defying the expectations of society. Romanticism and the choosing of partners around whom all sense of responsibility and restraint dissolve to the ruin of posterity. Decadence rising.

RE: When you meet new people, do you start with 10 points?

It varies from face to face. For example from an Asian I expect haggling and reneging on the deal in stark contrast to northerners who tend to trust me implicitly. The workerist mentality tends to not ask any questions and being less ambitious working for them is more of an honour, more respectful.

Anyway how suspicious I am of you varies from face to face amongst other things.

RE: What is Ireland known for.....?

A brain drain so severe that only the simpletons remain.

RE: Soon Putting Our Clocks Back Again! -The Concept of Time

Time is movement and we are the momentum that moves in cycles that appear to rhyme more than repeat. Maybe there's an overarching cycle so big that it makes it look like our everyday cycles are going somewhere, but they're not.

RE: Canada elects Fidel Castro's love child... AGAIN!

The irony of America and Britain is that our faith in capitalism meant we were at the forefront of bringing in the Chinese into the world and the Slavs into Europe. And for a while it seemed to have worked. The faith in global capitalism came from knowing that the world didn't stand a chance, and there is less welfare based on this understanding that you couldn't lose - an ocean of cheap consumer goods effectively became the welfare state; low wages and meagre benefits could yet still buy you something from China. Quite a lot from China actually.

Today this combines into something nasty where you're not brilliant at business and you don't officially believe in the state, but competition is intensifying all over the world.

RE: Canada elects Fidel Castro's love child... AGAIN!

Nationalism is arising in the worst places to live in the western world if you're a person of humble means. Places where the life expectancy is closer to India than Switzerland, places where the plan for east and west to meet in the middle is coming to fruition.

So not Canada. Small population + large pool of natural resourcs = rich whatever happens(?). You're going to get a sense of the 1990s for longer in Canada than you do in the US, but we get to watch the liberals in Canada grow ever more feeble making all the same mistakes we did.

RE: Success

Apprentice at 16 and manager by 21.. which was unfortunately 2008. They had me revamping the place until it became very apparent to me just how tight profit margins would forever be in that industry. The job became briefly more skilled before not being.

I’m glad I was there though because many jobs are staffed by idiots in this country and it would have damaged the town if the factory went bust. Immigrants do the jobs at the bottom of British and there is/was a tendency for the British to be promoted one level above your ability. Would be toilet cleaners fit the toilets so that plumbers become managers, C-grade students go to university and it goes all the way the top everything staffed by people not quite good enough to be there.

RE: Do we need one other ?

She must like you a lot before you can need her a bit and to be fair you should like her a lot before you even think about needing her. We don’t need intimacy with strangers.

RE: HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT AMERICAN WOMEN WHO DROVE ON WRONG SIDE OF ROAD AND KILLED A YOUNG MOTOCYCLE

America should honour the grieving parents and not the swamp. All she'd get is a slap on the wrist. Sacoolas would remain at least highly-resistant to justice even if America did know the difference between right and wrong. Not worth weasling out.

RE: DOES ANYONE WANT A SECOND VOTE FOR BREXIT

If there was any likelihood of ending up like Norway there wouldn't be a Brexit.

Most people support Brexit/Trump out of a desire to lower immigration and shrink the pond. If Britain was like America - i.e. never in the EU - something Brexity would be happening right now all the same. Underlying all of our institutions is the decline of a western empire and the keenest reaction to this is to hermit. Not just the EU but the entire system is not local enough.

RE: Have you found your mission in life?

To have more good intentions, we must at least try to leave things better than we found them.

RE: Is honesty always the best policy?

Not that everybody is that one-dimensional.

Men would like a girly girl who is good at maths for some reason. Good at maths inversely correlates with the frequency and severity of ridiculous lies. And women would like a guys guy with a feminine side so he can lie well when necessary and prove he understands forms of communication beyond the verbal. To read and write between the lines or avoid the trap of those who do it is necessary to have a feminine side in this day age where women cannot be given a slap. Mincing skills have become more important.

RE: Why did Elvis Presley throw it all away...?

What would you do that kind of money and power?

Because that’s what pop culture is. The most influential people in society are as simple as you are, and what happens.

RE: females

Freedom is confusing. Maybe one day women will get used to having power and learn to live like it. Just because you can do something doesn’t necessarily mean you should. The old license to be childish and inconsistent expiring because you’re a somebody now.

RE: another piece of land going under water

Some greed is ok so long as its tempered by the look on your face. The bosses and the landlords are people you’re familiar with and not a people who live a millions miles away both geographically and metaphorically.

And then it’s on you to point out that fossil fuels are not going to work in space. To convince people that some renewable technologies will actually work a lot better although that’s not a very fashionable thing to say on the right.

RE: Civil War in Syria or The Armageddon War???

There are two scenarios for the future of America’s empire. There’s the slow death approach where you finance it to the very end and control of the empire passes to China in the same way it left Britain before.

Or you can pull the plug and let an array of big fish/small pond strongmen control their own corners. Erdogan, Modi, Putin and Trump etc.

RE: TRANSCENDENCE?

But even the sons of Adam would be different. Religions of the world unite in the face of immortal progressives, people who were at one time enemies become bedfellows similar to today's alliance between capitalism and theocrats against liberal progress. The human species invents its own martian and this lessens the antagonism between the forces of old.

RE: TRANSCENDENCE?

It might be 100 years from now but progressives discover the key to what might be eternal life and build a garden utopia where all are one. The progressives want nothing more to do with the sons of Adam and their sin and build a society they call Eden integrated with a collective consciousness they call the prayer and its answer is law.

And all the traditional forces of religion, conservatism and conscience become a posterity we might recognise. Gadgets abound but not to the point of developing a new species.

RE: TRANSCENDENCE?

I could see the progressives going this way eventually - uploading themselves into a collective consciousness and abandoning privacy for a sense of oneness with all and a power so immense it cannot be constrained by the forces of nature.

Whilst the conservatives of tomorrow look like something from Universal Soldier yet nothing fundamentally changes in the nature of the species. They side with nature against further integration with the machine. People still die. The afterlife remains a question.

RE: Should women be given...the same prison sentences as men?

Not really because men are much better gangsters. The Don is almost always a man, but the same cannot be said for the mule. If a man commits a crime he is more likely to keep on doing it.

And its not society that makes men disposable per se. Long before the era of dying in battle man was expected to die in bear attack. From day one man is worth less that's why he does more, risks more and finds himself both the person who runs toward danger to keep us safe and the person who is that danger.

RE: Civil War in Syria or The Armageddon War???

Awful scenes. They should have left Assad alone, from what I remember the Syrians didn't all seem they like they had PTSD like the Palestinians do. They were better off with things as they were.

RE: Share what you are listening to...part 100

RE: HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT AMERICAN WOMEN WHO DROVE ON WRONG SIDE OF ROAD AND KILLED A YOUNG MOTOCYCLE

But maybe that's the point. Trumpism is something of a war on empathy fake or otherwise, their very essence is anti-diplomacy.

RE: HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT AMERICAN WOMEN WHO DROVE ON WRONG SIDE OF ROAD AND KILLED A YOUNG MOTOCYCLE

Coming back is an easy way to get out of a lot of silly bother. I don't associate remorse with Donald Trump in any way, but this is a particularly pointless get-out. Even without a conscience motive it's a good thing to apologise to the family and salvage your image.
