RE: School on Trial

I mean we don't want our schools to look like they do in China but there has to be some organisation, some sense of priority. The baby boomer's problem with authority ruined our schools but these problems you create - such as the great recession - contain the solution. A large portion of those 10-15 years younger seem to be awoken, there's a sensibility there which wasn't in those my age or my elders.

RE: School on Trial

My understanding is that students already never do the right thing and only do what makes them happy. In a choice between being John Salk or slobbing around in yoga pants they choose the yoga pants everytime. There's almost no sense at all of doing what is right or necessary and there's a very strong sense of doing what makes you happy until it all blows up in your stupid face.

RE: School on Trial

Spare the rod, spoil the child. You salt the earth for all posterity by telling the thick kid he's a genius and building your education system around him.

RE: School on Trial

And the problem with calling everybody a genius is that you fail to make good on real genius by failing to respect it. The new antibiotics won't be found, the Mars base will be Chinese, fossil fuels will not be updated and it all adds up to a worse life for your children and world as dirty as it is sick.

RE: School on Trial

I don't get it. The majority of the population is already freely choosing the soft option it's part of the reason why we've performed so poorly as a western world. We're swimming in fitness instructors, journalists and english literature students whilst reality is crying out for doctors, engineers and physicists. The norm is to freely choose something decadent and useless, maybe at one time you were forced into doing something materially resourceful but today the opposite is the case..

RE: Emergency Situation In Canada

But with fathers being absent or weak in many families. Mothers create the lifeview that you need to be tamed, neutered; in some sense deactivated. It's to limit harm women in a similar way to marijuana serve to negate action. But the father's role is to think of what could have been.

RE: Emergency Situation In Canada

Mainstreaming marijuana will come with the encroaching sense of mum's basement. Society wouldn't burn itself down it's more the case that it won't do anything like being in a coma.

RE: Will men in the near future be wearing body cams?

It's just never affected my personally and it's a bit like being told off for holding the door open. I've read anecdotal evidence for it from men online, but I've never seen it with my lying eyes.

The only thing I don't about feminism is the violence. We're not allowed to give women a slap anymore but they've been perfecting psychological violence for thousands of years.

RE: the Eire Border

Trump described himself as Brexit times ten and I believe the way to create Brexit times ten is to suppress it. Britain is several years behind the decline of America and the trick is to NOT behave like pre-Trump America.

RE: the Eire Border

Perhaps that's one of the worse scenarios. But beware that if you cancel Brexit and life in the EU is any less than heaven, the far-right will make massive gains off the back of it. Now do you believe the European Union will be heaven?

At the very least British working class degenerates into something like the American poor with that same level of alienation and despair. Rotherham begins to resemble the Bronx and Devon and Cornall become like rednecks, everywhere you go the little guy comes to be disenfrachised from life completely(which again the far-right will make massive gains from).

RE: the Eire Border

Remain would probably win if there was another election.

But no the people don't understand and a fast-food culture of instant gratification would be confused by the details. It's simple a case of the heart wants what it wants meets ask and ye shall receive. The gut says get out of the EU and this meets with gimmedat. That's what Brexit is, a gutsy gimmedat with virtually no practical understanding of how the world works.

RE: Will men in the near future be wearing body cams?

Well it's a backlash against "her indoors", the boring bourgeoisie family of convenience created the bohemain bourgeoisie. It's a rebellion against that joyless and loveless family: The traditional, circumstantially arranged marriage.

RE: the Eire Border

True but the country would never get over it. Brexit means a lot to a lot of people with not a lot to live for.

RE: Saudi Arabia

Islam needs to rediscover communism to fight against Jihad and send the Saudis to the gulag. Even the Soviet system would be an improvement on how they are now, we made a mistake by enabling terrorists to damage progressives.

RE: The world as we know it, is ending.

Think about the tremendous odds we've overcome to even be alive here today and all the possiblities which lie ahead of us - life on Mars, 11 dimensions in space, advances in science where we live for a century or more and conquer poverty and toil at the same time.

RE: Kleenex

It's ironic really. The only reason they called them mansize to begin with was to make men behave like a lady and buy tissues.

RE: hard done by

It was terrible. Me dad used to beat us so hard that I forgot how to use a pen and failed school.

RE: Are you grateful in humantiy that we can chat world wide?

Well it is part of the reason why the last decade hasn't been like the 1930s. We could literally be dead now without online efficiency.

RE: What are the biggest dating profile No-No's?

Acronyms are a bucket of cold water. Particularly GSOH and D&D free.

RE: October 17, 1777 ... the British losers surrender at Saratoga.

Isn't that the one where we drove the Yanks out of Washington and burned The White House, The Capitol Building, and the Library of Congress to the ground? All the symbols of American prestige up in smoke, pfft.

RE: Why is it called 'Lotto?

Aspiration for the aspirationless. The lottery plays an important role in George Orwell's 1984, the dream of winning is what helps them tolerate going nowhere and doing nothing worthwhile in life and for many of the proles in 1984 the lottery was their only reason to be alive.

RE: Why is it called 'Lotto?

In general it's the same group of poor and unintelligent men who votes for the popular right. To vote for Mr Big Stuff and feel like Mr Big Stuff when that's the last thing you are, it's almost because they're the lowliest members of the 99.99% that they refuse to consider themselves in the 99.99%. The lottery is the bottomfeeding scab's hunger for significance.

RE: Great Advice

My advice is to start chasing girls young when you can learn and recover better from foolish and dangerous mistakes. You want the worst to be over with women by the time puberty ends.

RE: WALK AWAY MOVEMENT

Shifted to the right culturally, to the left economically. What most people want is some sort of patriotic greed isn't so good afterall movement.
