Have been receiving email from quite a few that are on an average of 28 yrs old. Feels weird, yet flattering @ the same time. Got a few from a 20 yr old- That one really made me feel like I was a cradle robber.
My Dad, a fellow Mechanic, (Also,Farmer, Engineer, and Army Man) would be behind you 100% if he were alive. I can hear him now:
"I really like Robert, CJ." Dad says looking over at me, "He has the best toys and a good garage full of tools enough to catch up with mine." "That would be one Man I could trust with my tools and my Daughter. There is nothing like a mechanic for taking care of things."
No pun or insult meant. Your post just sounded Exactly Like Him.
I see you are Somewhere in New York. Would that be near Rochester, by any chance? I will be moving up there within the year. By the time I have my own Birthday, (I hope), so hopefully, next year we can get together for your Birthday.
Classical and Jazz helped to soothe me and find the strength to go on after my husband's death. I was reminded of things we both enjoyed before he became addicted to drugs/alcohol, and I lost my Soul Mate to these things long before he died in a car accident due to the same.
Especially after we fall in, on a late night trip to the can!!!!
I really woke my husband in the middle of the night, after one time, when I was on crutches, screetching about it and I was STUCK in the toilet. After helping me out and then to shower for the second time that night, he learned to put it back down and clean up his sprinkles with the chlorox wipes, too.
We never had that problem again. His Parents told him: "NOW you know why when Mama's not happy, nobody's happy".
