Does anyone know why getting down on one knee and proposing is considered romantic?
As I understand it, it was because when a Knight wore armor, it was particularly hard to get down on one knee while in combat garb, so it actually took work.
Whereas today, it doesn't take any work at all to get down on one knee. Unless of course you are an old geezer with a knee replacement.

HAHA, no, I do go through a lot of scrubs, but I don't always wear them. A lot of times I wear my regular clothes with a smock.
I have scrubs ready in the locker room if I need to. It depends on what role I am playing on a typical night. Most ERs have a rotation so that one doc isn't getting all the traumas all the time.

I am not a dentist and am speaking solely from my knowledge of anatomy here. What you are likely experiencing is some swelling of the gum and jaw which would cause you to feel the blood pumping in your mouth. I would not be too concerned.
I would however be concerned about the ibuprofen, primarily because doses of ibuprofen can increase bleeding. If however you are no longer bleeding, which should subside in a few hours, then you can probably take ibuprofen.
Again, I am not a dentist. I would recommend talking with your dentist office if you have any questions or concerns. I speak of even more ignorance since I have never had a tooth pulled, let alone a root canal.
I would also strongly caution you against drinking any alcohol while taking Tylenol 3 which contains a controlled substance. And definitely don't drive while on it.
I don't think it is defensive as much as it is that this medium doesn't lend itself to reading tone of voice and body language so statements can easily be construed as something they are not.
