RE: You have met someone you are not interested in, is it better to be

Be honest, and nice about it. There's no point lying to someone. I respect the truth and would hope others do to!

RE: understanding guys.......

Any particular angle you are looking for? I hear 120 degrees is pretty popular these days!

Sorry, typos can be awefully funny though sometimes... you should see some of mine! Oh, but I am careful to Preview and proofread before posting so it's rare that one of mine slips through.

Yeah I've been hurt but no I'm not scared at all I just haven't been able to meet the right woman that sets my heart to racing... either distance or children from previous relationships always seem to sink my boat. frustrated

A married woman living only a few miles down the road from me was chatting with me yesterday on Yahoo, and she said "If I wasn't married I'd go out with you in a heartbeat"... I was like, "Yeah, I get that quite often unfortunately". help

I also get the "If I was closer I'd go out with you in a heartbeat" frequently... it is depressing. I remain a sad_flower as a result.

RE: A sincere question to those who don't believe the Bible is God's Word

Oooh! Oooh! And the Branch Dividians leader prophesized as I recall now that they would be consumed in fire (or maybe just him, I can't remember exactly), and then they were! So then, what does that make him? Oooh!

Of course the fact that they were using flame lit lanterns throughout their compound with alot of flammable materials in the same rooms and hallways did not affect his prophecy at all I'd imagine... doh

I'm not comparing Nostradamas nor the Branch Dividian leader (what's his name? Keresh?) to Jesus mind you, but I am trying to make the point that prophesy is in the eye of the beholder and hindsight is 20/20. It's easy to take an event that happens and then go looking for some writings that "foretold" that event.

- Michael ("American by birth, Texan by the Grace of God!") sad flower

RE: A sincere question to those who don't believe the Bible is God's Word

Uhmm... then what does that make Nostradamas? If you write them just right, significantly vague enough with lots of colorful words, practically any event can seem to have been prophesized (after the fact!).

When somebody comes up with a prophesy regarding the name of the horse that will next win at Delta Downs, now THAT I'd like to know about JUST BEFORE it happens! applause

ps. But please, let's keep that prophesy just between me and you ok? cool

Hercules was about 5 months old at the time. He's a big sweetheart now though.

Be nicely dressed and dressed appropriately, be clean and smell good, do something you both enjoy (I presume you'd have talked at least a little bit via internet or on phone or something 1st)... anybody up for going rollerblading? grin

I've read that crossed arms are a bad sign, or if one of you is having to do all the talking then things are NOT going well!

Leaning into the conversation with equal exchange of talking back and forth is a good sign! Asking questions, back and forth, is also a plus.... laughter is a definite ++!

RE: Would you marry a person or seriously date a person that had s special needs child?

But in the begining, it's not true love (unless you for some reason believe in that "love at 1st sight or something). I'd say that pretty much every man with any sense of self-worth IS going to "keep it moving" with that attitude. I wouldn't blame 'em.

Pity you didn't think of your dog coming first before you hooked up with Mr. Wrong. Hmph! doh

This attitude is likely going to drive any man that has any sense of self worth and is worth anything himself, away. scold

Too many women are damaged goods, these days. It is depressing.

RE: Would you marry a person or seriously date a person that had s special needs child?

I find I relate alot better to women with pets... ferrets are extremely cute for isntance! I don't relate well to women who've had children with Mr. Wrong, in fact I rather resent that. moping

I find it very disturbing that women are apparently quite busy having children with Mr. Wrong and Mr. Wrong and Mr. Wrong and... well, you get the idea. It's like, ya'll are hell bent on reproducing with the worst of the male species for some reason. I just do not appreciate that. frustrated

Your children are part you AND part him... I'd think you'd choose alot better than you do.

The last (well, the only actually) woman I dated, back in 2003, just up and stood me up for a dinner date then wouldn't return my calls... she just went "Poof!" and was gone. I never learned what the deal was. And I was head over heels for her too... it sucked. blues

I never got a message. I heard thru the grapevine a few years later that she'd gotten married... I cannot imagine what he did right that I didn't. I tried my best, but I guess I just wasn't good enough. moping

RE: Drone Strikes in Pakistan .This must be stopped

We would find the outlaw and deport the SOB... there'd be no need to bomb us to get some SOB, we'd kick him out.

Compare apples to apples. AlCaeda started this thing, we got distracted by Bush's war in Iraq but now we're finally regaining our focus... good for us, bad for AlCaeda. Human shields won't protect them.

Gorgeous, absolutely GORGEOUS today in Texas! Blue skies, calm air in the mid-70's, low humidity (which won't last but oh well... enjoying it while I can). There were these little whisps of high level clouds at one point today that were just beautiful too. The sky is blue, everything else around here is green... a near perfect day today!

RE: WHAT DID BUSH DO DURING HIS TIME OF PRESIDENCY??? (APART FROM STARTING 2 WARS)

He only started 1 war. Though Saddam and sons deserved everything they got plus some, we had no valid justification for going in and giving it to them... and we've near about lost the Afgan front as a result of all the forces we had to pump in to Iraq to stabilize things there! Plus I have no confidence at all that Iraq will remain stable once our troops have all left... so what was the point in the long run?

As a Texan I have no particular interest in "improving" the lives of people from countries which promote terrorism or outright attack us here in the America's... I'm for killing them all and letting God sort 'em out. It's cheaper and faster that way. banana

But Iraq... well, not many Americans support what President Bush did there. His administration deceived far too many. Even Collin Powel, who Bush sent to the U.N. to push the case for invading Iraq, felt betrayed by the administration once he learned that the info he had been given to take to the U.N. was total BS. That speaks volumes IMHO.

The Bush administration wanted any excuse to invade Iraq. But Iraq had nothing to do with the terrorist 9/11 attacks here, that was Afganistan's Taliban who were hosting, supporting and protecting Al Queda... we had the moral high ground to bomb the Taliban into oblivion and tear that country to pieces in search of the Taliban leadership IMHO. That's where our efforts SHOULD have been focused these past 7 years!

Bush was a pretty good as Govenor to the State Of Texas, but as President of the United States of American I was very much unimpressed and disappointed with his handling of things. scold

Interesting coincidence... I've been working on a spreadsheet project doing VBA coding behind the spreadsheet this past week. The code has to identify certain color cells in the spreadsheet and turquoise is one of those colors the code looks for... while testing and debugging today, I found to my dismay that I'd spelled "turquoise" about 4 different ways in 6 different code modules! Needless to say, that was making the code error out all over the place. doh

It'sa pretty color, but darned difficult to spell! LOL!
