Do you believe determination overcomes fear or that the fear is a necessary part coupled with the determination to accomplish a goal that one has fear of?
"Necessity is the mother of invention". Sometimes when we are in dire desperation we can try things that we normal would not think ourselves capable of. I have found at times like these the quote by Winston Churchill to be correct, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself".
You cut to the chase and have a natural simple common sense approach. I have had to look at things in a simple way because it is easier to deal with. One can too smart and miss much. I have had a good friend help me with common sense. I am sorry to say but it isn't a trait I was blessed with. I have done well with book learning, though. I have a natural curiousity and I can be persistant to a point of extremism. I have some traits that can be classified as irritating and I have to watch for those. It is nice to agree with someone when they say it just the way you would have said it.
I agree with Lilly here. I would give a short time interval and when that time interval is over, Next, as is said. Jealousy is a natural human emotion and one doesn't want to be classified as a cheater, either. But on the otherhand playing the field is a part of dating. I think giving yourself and others the freedom to be self is a wonderful thing. Dating can be a learning experience no matter how old one is. One needs to remember we are all single to proven not single, lol.
I believe he falls in line with other documentarians. There were people who filmed lions who got eaten. In my griefshare meetings there is this one doctor who was in a deep part of Africa. Her husband was eaten by the natives but she went back there. The natives said they were sorry. He was a doctor, too. I always thought that one crocodile would have gotten Steve. I believe Steve lost a good dog to one of the crocodiles. It is sad that Steve is gone.
I am sorry to hear that. I worked for the Discovery Channel Store in Florence, Kentucky and we packaged a lot of shirts with his picture on it. I thought the show was great and he was a warm human being. He sure will be missed.
One just has to make sure one has a love for themselves. Taking each day as it comes and living it like it is your last day on earth. The friendships you make today may help you tomorrow. Each has their own journey and it is nice to meet friends along the way.
I have nervous breakdowns before and hope you recover. I hope you do all that the doctor tells you to do and get a proper amount of rest. Good to see you, again, Doug. I pray a speedy recovery for you. :)
In the arid desert of my mind is an oasis of another kind. Where shifting sands blow a melody for us to follow. One has to dig to find drink and on one's knees to sink. Because the distance is great to the mirage of the lakes. So many things seems so real and one can begin to to feel the sandy wind as it passes dunes that are in the masses. Direction and purpose fades like intricate brown shades and sand is like a whirlwind cast aside by a close friend down in the depths of despair through devilish unkempt hair. As the creatures scurry away one sees the closing of day coming down like a big curtain as darkness covers the terrain.
