Home Is Where The Soul Is.
by RainbowSlider

This place is not my home.
Someday my life will be through.
Someday I will not be alone.
But with her beyond the blue.

Her love touches me still.
Our love was just too great.
She was mine on this hill.
She was my only soul-mate.

The great spirit will us reunite.
She took our home with her.
I will go with her into the light.
We long to be one together.

Hold on, my love, for me.
It may take a little while.
We will have all eternity.
I miss your sweet smile.

I loved you more than I knew.
It took a while to understand.
I still long and need you.
You are still my woman.

RE: if the world was ending today are you where you want to be for that final goodbye

This place is not my home.
I am just a visitor passing through.
Someday I will not be alone.
But with her beyond the blue.

RE: do you know this song?

I think I have heard that song before. I just place who sings it or the name of the song. wave

RE: Update

I hear that. They have rescheduled my orientation till tomorrow. I am happy for you. What is your new job? Mine is going to be a CNA.

RE: Would a Billboard Help????

I guess if a woman wanted to be noticed for her intellect they could show a picture of the cat scan that way they can show all the brain activity going on. Or maybe since intelligence has been shown by amount of bumps on the skull a picture of the bumps on the skull. Of course if the bumps were achieved by getting knocked on the head that might be deceiving. One could admire the the picture and say, "Oh, what a pretty brain you have." I will just keep knocking my head against this wall so I will get smarter.frustrated rolling on the floor laughing

RE: No Child Support - on a rant for a moment

They are still your kid even after you divorce their mother. Just because you and her could not get along is no reason not to show that you still love the child. Chromazonial half of that child is yours regardless what the courts say. It is what is best for the child or children that should count. That way even if you don't get custodial rights and the child tries to contact you later you can show that you did and do care about the child's welfare. I am glad that mine has been paid. thumbs up

RE: I just discovers how out of shape I really am...

I have tried that but that does seem like a good option. I will be looking for heavy duty bike. I have thought of the motor/pedal combination. You can pedal or drive. I am not sure if those are still made. We have hills here and it would be nice to pedal on the flat surface and motor on the hills.

RE: I just discovers how out of shape I really am...

Frank, did you ever have any luck in learning how to ride those three-wheeled bicycles. I tried but they were hard to steer. I liked the large basket in the back.

RE: Satellite TV vs Cable

The first amateur radio satellite. A California group of Amateur Radio operators, calling itself Project OSCAR, built the first Amateur Radio satellite in 1961. Since then, the majority of hamsats have been called OSCAR.

Project OSCAR built the first four hamsats. Then AMSAT was founded in 1969. AMSAT's first flight was OSCAR-5 built by Australian students.

All of the high-tech OSCARs have been financed through donations of time, hardware and cash from hams in the United States, Germany, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Russia, France, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Belgium, South Korea, Finland, Israel, Mexico, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and other nations.

OSCAR. AMSAT satellites are called OSCAR, for Orbital Satellite Carrying Amateur Radio. The number of OSCARs reached a total of 50 satellites in 2002.

Numbers in the OSCAR series are assigned by AMSAT after a satellite has been launched successfully and operated on Amateur Radio frequencies.

For example, two OSCARs launched to space in December 2002 were a German hamsat designated AATiS OSCAR-49 (AO-49) — AATiS is a German group promoting Amateur Radio in schools — and a Saudi Arabian hamsat labeled Saudi OSCAR-50 (SO-50).

Radiosputnik. In addition to the OSCARs, over the years USSR and Russian hams have built and operated 20 separately numbered amateur satellites called Radiosputnik, or RS for short. Three USSR hamsats were called Iskra, which is Russian for "spark."

British Amateur Radio satellites, built at the University of Surrey, have been known as UoSAT. Japanese hamsats have been called Fuji, which is Japanese for "wisteria."

In addition, a handful of Amateur Radio related satellites also have been launched over the years by other groups around the world. The Amateur Radio OSCAR communication and science satellites are not the same as the U.S. Navy series of Oscar navigation satellites. Amateur Radio satellites are referred to informally as hamsats.

Flourishing. The number of Amateur Radio satellites has been mushrooming:

RE: Satellite TV vs Cable

In my rural area you either have satellite or you listen to radio. I got a big outside antenna which covers up to one hundred miles in a directional pattern. The American Radio Relay League actually has a antenna book where you can make your own dish. The main part in the LNB, that part in the center. I would like that guy who played in the movie Starman to come by and fix my outside antenna, lol. Radio Shack has an outside antenna that actually reaches a hundred and fifty miles. I would like to see Internet tv come across on a phone line. I have read some up on it but it has been a while. I have the Direct TV dish and receiver with remote but have to wait till I can afford it, again. I would like to try to make the dish just to see if I could. It would be cool to get Oscar the Amateur Radio satellite.

RE: I just discovers how out of shape I really am...

I am going to get a bike because the job I have is only four miles away. I know the price of gas has gone down but I think biking would be healthier and cheaper. It would take getting used to it, again. Would be nice if both ways were down hill but that would defeat the purpose in regards to exercise, lol. I had to cut down on chloresterols, eat better and exercise after my second heart attack. The doc said exercise and an asprin a day is good for the heart. Exercising actual strenghthens the heart if you don't overdue it. Walking is just as good as running. I find playing with my dog out in the yard actual helps. My dog likes it, too, lol. Necessity is sometimes the mother of invention when it comes to exercising. I would like to have a tread mill. From what I hear when I start my CNA I will get all kinds of exercise being a bpj - bed pan jockey, lol. Last time I worked in a nursing home the nurses had all kinds of exercise for me helping to change the beds sheet for the clients. Nurses can get real back pains and help is much appreciated.

RE: A hunting we will go?

I would love to have a pair of those snake skin boots. I have seen some beautiful ones. Any idea which snakes makes the best boots?

RE: READ THIS IF YOU ARE BORED.. RELATIONSHIP JUNK

"If you act on impulse because of your attraction to one an other you could end up in something you were not ready for."

I can relate with that. I have had that problem with relationships, credit cards, check books, jobs, being single, buying stuff at Walmart's and it has caused me all kinds of problems. Especially when it comes to electronic toys, lol. I just love gizmos. The more buttons and added features the worse it gets, lol. I bought a bunch of magazines from this lady just because I like the sound of her voice, lol. Caveat Empeor, lol, let the buyer beware.

RE: Any good men left?

Surely there must be some good men in Tennessee. I have been there. It is a wide state but not that tall. laugh

RE: A hunting we will go?

This reminds me of that skit done on the Muppetts Show. These two deer had guns. One said, "Hey, look I bagged a Chevy" and the other one said, "Yeah, and I bagged a Ford", lol.

RE: My ex got married yesterday

Good luck with it, Erin. thumbs up

RE: A hunting we will go?

Snakes, I don't really have a problem with. Maybe it is because I don't like snakes. I have seen some awesome snake belts. I have always wanted to try rattlesnake just to see what it tastes like.wave

RE: The Panther needs advice, I am going crazy...

Oh ok. My creditors don't have a bit of problem getting information on me.

RE: The Panther needs advice, I am going crazy...

Since your ex's were cops wouldn't you have friends in the police department now that could help you out with this?

Ways to Annoy People

Stand in the middle of a crowd of people and just stare up in amazement.......eventually there will be a bunch of people staring up with you trying to figure out what your staring at.....it actually works I have done it lol

RE: A hunting we will go?

We have many deer here. They come in the back yard sometimes. I saw eight on the way to see my mom. During turkey season it sounded like a war zone here. Is there any way to put silencers on shot guns? I was flinching the whole weekend. I thought I was back in Alabama visiting my relatives there.thumbs up

Ways to Annoy People

Here is one my dad used to do. When we would visit our cousins and relatives he would get there at 3am in the morning. Then he would blow the car horn until somebody would come to the door.
