I don't mind you asking at all SingleGuy, thank you
This happened after we moved here from England, I was about five years old when we arrived here
I also recall two attempts by adult males in those early years to get me to go with them under false pretenses, obviously p*dophile.
One occasion was when I went to a local store on my way to school, he said he had a puppy at his house that I would like to see. The other pulled over in his car, opened the passenger door and said my mother was looking for me and wanted him to drive me home.
Fortunately I had the good sense at that young age not to take up either of these offers, in fact I remember feeling sick as I knew those men were bad.
Well how the hell else was she supposed to prepare a satisfactory dinner of roast beef, Yorkshire puddings and runner beans in the heat of an Australian summer without Bisto, bless her
And this is no doubt why some companies insist on uniforms, because some people have no idea that it's not appropriate to rock up to work in outfits that they would wear on a night out clubbing or for a day at the beach.
We don't have a uniform, in fact because we work in the community with people whose lives are affected by mental illness and other disabilities, we show respect by maintaining a low profile.
No badges or company insignia on our clothing or our vehicles.
