I agree in a sense, but there are times where those that contribute to a thread, resort to insults as a means to get their point across...Noone whether you agree or disagree with their posts, deserves to be insulted....To be honest I think we should at least treat posters, whether we agree with them or disagree with them with respect.
Now I am not going to sound all high & mighty, because I have at times, insulted posters, I do however try to keep this at an extreme minimum. All to often however, those that are doing the insulting, are embraced for having done so and that does nothing but encourage said behavior.
Again, I don't have a problem with people that share an opinion or view, but more so with those that result to insults as a means of either looking cool, or as a weapon to assault posters.
I would say I am a person that in a sense does live in the past, but not so much as far as relationships are concerned. I would go into more detail about this, but it's not really something I am comfortable discussing in an open forum, I hope you understand. I wouldn't say I allow it to dictate my life, but it does tend to creep back into it on occaision.
I would say that I am open to new experiences, because I really can't say I like or dislike something, that I have never done & experienced.
Pizza or cheeseburgers (that way I get a few food groups at once)
as a book: Where the Red Fern Grows (my favorite book as a child and honestly still my favorite
Video: Ghostbusters...(loved that movie and I'd need something to laugh at while in my dire situation)
Piece of Music: American Idiot - Green Day (because it would be a constant reminder of how much of an idiot i was to put myself in the current situation)
As a companion...I dunno...I could whip out a name or two and seem like a sweet guy...but...honestly...it would have to be someone I love with all my heart because, if I am to be deserted on an island, I want it to be with someone that I care about and someone that cares about me...it may motivate me to find a way off anyways.
easy solution for this is....get a good pair of headphones...they cost about 20$...the headset should turn slightly that way you can hang them on your neck, turn the speaker part of the headphones towards your ears....that way you can hear the music & still have audio awareness around you.
RE: I Don't Like Your Answer....
Now this all being said, I do believe people also, need to have thicker skins as well, instead of being a professional target.
