If you could ask something anonymously to someone on the forums...

Plus in a sense, it really doesn't have to be a question, it could be a statement or anything..like i said, sometimes it's good to get things off your chest.

If you could ask something anonymously to someone on the forums...

Yes, but you always have plausable deniability :P

If you could ask something anonymously to someone on the forums...

well..as long as you don't say their name, then it stays anonymous and maybe ...just maybe, they may realize that it is them that you are talking about and they may open some dialouge with you :)

Sometimes it's just good to get a question off of your chest and regardless of whether it's anonymous or not is enough to get it from weighing on you :)

RE: True Grit

If you've noticed, they seem to be running out of ideas in Hollywood...Rarely does something original come out and be good..For some reason however, they don't realize everytime they make a remake, it's not as good as the original either.

Agree'd, however, sometimes people are too shy to say something in particular to someone, but if there was the possibility of anonymity, maybe they would...Just curious more so as to what they would ask, and what keeps them from asking the person..more so than the who.

RE: Financial support

You should pop in more often , we miss ya and your opinion is always welcomed and valued, especially because of the experiences you have gone through having met someone through a LDR (which many of us find ourselves in, especially on sites such as this).hug

RE: national service.

I'm really not sure how prisons are in Spain, but here in the United States, prisons are far from holiday camps.

RE: national service.

Very awesome Trish...Would rather not say which line, but there was one that definitely spoke to how I viewed my service in the military and in a sense still do.. Great song though

RE: national service.

thumbs up

I do think that military service would be a great option for first time offenders of non-violent crimes. Would be a great place for them to learn some discipline outside of the penal system.

RE: national service.

I believe that's why they did away with it in the United States...It is however required to sign up for by law, in case of EXTREME National Emergency (basically when the President suspends the Constitution)

RE: national service.

I agree. Military service in particular should be a must for everyone. They teach discipline and get values for later in life...That being said, my only problem against that is, in general, a military that is based on conscripts, has a lower quality than those that are fully volunteer.

RE: Financial support

Agree'd...but there are those types everywhere to be honest...And sometimes no matter how much time you talk to them and how much time you take getting to know them, they still turn out to be someone different...In a sense however, that can be said for any relationship, on or offline...near or close.

RE: Is a 3000 euro fine correct for going 290kph in a 100kph zone??

I didn't sweat it to much...If anything the job kept it off my mind anyways...Was working about 18-20hrs a day so it kept me busy anyways. The silver lining of it was, I was removed from the WO's command and put directly under the 1SG & CO just ove ra month afterwards. Cut my hours from abotu 18-20hrs per day - around 8hrs which was fantastic. While everyone else worked weekends, I had off. So in the end, things worked out for me as a plus.

RE: Financial support

To begin with , this is one of the snags of a long distance relationship that people forget to really explore because they blind themselves into thinking that things will work out magically.

I think it's something that needs to be discussed between the two people involved prior to any actual moving plans. I agree in a sense, that they should be prepared to support you initially, but the person doing the move also needs to be prepared to find a way to support themselves as well as soon as possible (and possibly even before the actual move).

Again, I really don't think there is no right or wrong answer here because it all comes down to communicating with that person you are moving too and them with you, about what things such as financial arrangements, etc. Again this is one of the biggest dangers of long distance relationships simply because people don't talk about it with one another before hand.
