Loving Unconditionally

Eyes that have cried and will do so no more
Reflect sadly at the child on the floor
A reminder of passion gone wrong
Even before the child's life had begun
Arms that had loving held the father yesterday
Reach for the child for a hug, a rock and a sway

Eyes that has so much to see tomorrow
Look trustingly into eyes filled with sorrow
And a mouth that yet a word to speak
Smile, a smile that left her mother weak
A mother we had nearly forgotten how to smile
Took comfort freely and innocently given for awhile

These two haven't had much in life so far
But with life they have started a war
One they must win, for a child loved dearly
By a mother who manages to feed her barely
"We will make it my darling" the mother whispered now
"I promise I"ll get us through this somehow."

Looking on no would guess the mother's story
She once had a life just shy of glory
Nor would one believe the child's a millionaire
Granddaughter of a wealthy family, the only living heir
That is the mother's secret as her trials she endure
She choose to keep her daughter and live poor

And though oftemtimes she tempted for her child's sake
Her promise to her child she will never break
Together they will make it through destiny
Loving her child unconditionally
Hoping to give her everything she deserves
Though often she had to dig inside for reserves

A GLIMMER

Loneliness was my companion
Agreeable pals we were yesterday
Recently someone walked in my life
Rescued! That was my first impression
Yet he only lasted a day
Moments actually: leaving wound that needed no knife
Only he never understand what he took
Once was enough. My world he shook.
Sealing a further bond with my Lonely friend
Even I don't understand what really happened.

BAD

As a child I learned a lesson for life
If you told the lie about moving the knife
Unless you have lost your mind or gone mad
Stick to the lie, confessing is BAD

I learned this one as a teenager
Don't become a boy's star gazer
Because he will think you are easily had
If you are not it will end BAD

As a young adult in this lesson I stumbled
I believe me it was one that had me humbled
Of forever promises made in heat don't be glad
Once broken the pain from them is really BAD

Maturity hit me with this lesson in the face
Never let anyone decide where is YOUR place
Or the road to that you should trod
Where you end up might just be BAD

You my friend this one I will teach
No matter what others may preach
Find your own destiny, love and God
Otherwise your end will definately be BAD

Frog to A Prince..........

One kiss will turn a frog to a prince
Isn't that what we were always told
From eternity or somewhere since
Along with the rainbow's pot of gold

Designer clothes will make him presentable
Home to meet the parents you go
He is rated five star at the dining table
And you will just basked in his glow

Wedding plans pass you by in flash
Your head held high, you diamond bright
Your go everywhere in a whirlwind dash
Can't wait for the promised wedding night

The honeymoon is a dream filled with fresh air
He is attentive and charming and all for you
He notices everything about you even your hair
On you sail on the happy love canoe

Then home to start a life of gold
At least that is what is on your mind
And the fire starts to get cold
In bed the breeze blows your behind

One morning with a smile you woke
Makes his breakfast and takes it to him in bed
Then he greets you with a smile and a croak
So from the room you hastily fled

Someone should have told the story's end
From a frog a kiss a prince will make
But when it all comes down it it my friend
Marriage will reverse the magic for pity's sake

He vs. She

He saw a sexy lady full of class
He wanted to get to know her more
She saw a rich guy with a full glass
And thought, "I can make him sucker for sure"

He thought I want her for my wife
She's got all I am looking for in a woman
She thought with him I'll be set for life
He doesn't know me poor, stupid man

He proposed marriage thinking she is it
She accepts knowing her plan had worked
He is happy he found his perfect fit
She is happy she no longer need to be a Clerk

He thought he had the perfect wedding day
She agreed with him for once in this drama
He knows his friends envied him in every way
She knows she is the queen bee here mama

His reality came hard, hot but too late
His wife is no longer the woman he dated
Her reality is just a she dreamt to date
With her spending power she was elated

He is unhappy, lonely and mad
She is happy, spending and rich
He works harder to keep away sad
She has more time to be a b*tch

All that glitters is not gold that I know
But it all depends on whose view you see
Bet she would not agree that the statement is so
But he would readily agrees with me

Mr. Big meets Miss Small

Mr. Big talk thought he was all that
He treated everybody like a foot mat
He expected the best, but gave the worst
He gave little but took the most

Mrs. Small new she was the best of them all
She treated all fairly and answered every call
She expected nothing but is ready to give her best
She gave the most and took little with a protest

On a hot Monday afternoon they met
She smiled her frown quite upset
He shouted for her to get out of his way
She smiled and wished him a productive day

She pulled at his heart long thought dead
He pulled at her sympathies as she prepared for bed
So on Tuesday she waited on him with a smile and a hello
And he greeted her with flowers all bright and yellow

Today she teaches him to appreciate and give
He teaches her to take and live
They are happily married and still surprised
That they owe it all to her first bicycle ride

This is how I got here

A friend thought I was lonelier than most
So my profile without my consent she did post
I thought this girl is crazy but let me have a look
And one look was all it took
I found a place I could express myself freely
And thought this is GREAT really
My friend thought to find me Mr. Right
But she found me a paradise to write
She is mad that I did no see things her way
But tomorrow if I call she'll come out to play
I find if a want laughter I know where to find it
If I feel lost I know exactly where I'll fit
And that is how I got here, if you were curious
Got go placate my friend she is furious

I CAN LOVE ME BETTER

I can love me better and that is no joke
So baby PLEASE walk through the door
I'll miss you some for sure
But believe I know I can love me better

I can love me better and I wont cheat
So give my blessing to my replacement
Would that be the girl living in the basement?
Oh well whoever I wish them luck...

I can love me better you better believe that
I can make my life what I want it to be
But first I had to love me
So baby good bye because now I am doing just that.

Dark Thoughts

Why do I make this feeling of depression,
Taking over my mind like the Recession?
Evading my mind, my body and my soul.
Why am I not the one in control?

Just like the bankers on Wall Street,
I just did not see it coming to retreat,
Or be more prepared for its effect.
Now I am its battered subject.

How do I control this feeling of oppression?
What is the first step of ascension?
From this pit of black helplessness I feel?
That others may not believe it real.

I am not at peace with my own mind today.
I sing, talk, act normal and even pray.
But I still haven't been able to find,
The illusion I have always called Peace of Mind.

I am left with just one conclusion;
About my armory of convincing illusion
Like almost everything in my reality to date
My pain it is just not enough to alleviate.

A FRIEND

Meeting you has enhance my life
I have bless with a friend
Could I have asked for a better one
Halo could not make you more an angel
Even if it was made of Gold
Although we were only meant to be friends
Love have held us together through it all

Friend for Life is your title
Reaching accross time and space
Is a bond that will never break
This is a promise from me to you
Heaven gave us friendship to cherish.

I locked me up

I made a choice to hide me away
Thought I was doing it out of love
Did not realize the penalty I had to pay
I lived like a newly caged dove
I should walk away I knew that is true
But my heart says that is not what I will do

Like a wild animal placed in a Zoo
Others viewed my life and poked fum at me
They just can't find a clue
Why I am willing to pay the penalty
But what do I say when my head is not sure
And keep telling me walk through the door

I locked me up in love's prison of no guarantee
My crime of loving someone afraid to commit
That everyone know is not the life for me
But I don't want to reach life's summit
Without the guy of my dreams standing there
Basking in the love that we share

I locked me up because I want my love in the end
I am willing to stay locked up for awhile
So I can undo emotions others have surely bend
I hope that one day, some way I will smile
Because I had paid the ultimate prize of love
And I will again become like a carefree dove

Dark

A garden of award winning roses,
With a gate that automatical closes
Should one step towards it, night or day
No adults stroll here nor do children play

A house made for a family, always empty
No one there only cobwebs a plenty
Painted pretty outside but dark and dirty inside
No one wants to enter to the door is open wide

A woman sit at a window beautiful to the eyes
But she knows not how to smile and God knows she tries
Pain is her only companion forever close
No one is around for her to tell her woes

If you pass by this avenue you can't help here
Cause the gates will close you out in fear
The house will turn you even further away
And she will stay lonely yet another day
