Two Lovers

Vase full of light and color. Tall, proud voluptuous.
Riding high on dresser tall dark many drawers.
Faded spot one rests on other like two lovers.
Color light spinning through space.
Faded spot uncovered. Bare empty place.
Cold... hard silent. No hope of turning whole again.
Warm.... gooey binding. Sealed by loves hand.
First look you see the streaks, thin line cracks.
Time goes by .... All seems whole once more.
Smallest gentle jostle.... Broken worst than before.
Picking up the pieces. Fallen all apart.
Tucking gently away....Not wanting to.
To many pieces....don't know where to start.
Closing drawer...lay broken in the dark.
Faded spot uncovered. Bare empty space.
Try many none fit. As if faded spot beckoning.
Vase to take its place.

The Key

I searched the room. Moved from place to place.
I couldn't find what was lost not even a trace.
My heart was breaking ....The air felt thin.
I kept lookin could not give in.
Why can't I find....what I'm lookin for.
Am I blind..... to tired to search anymore.
To late to let go.....whats around the next corner I don't know.
I'm in a frenzy a panicked rush....I know where it should be.
Why can't I see.....
Ok that's it.
I give.
I quit.
My bodies in a spasm....it's to damn late.
I keep lookin now in the mess I create.
Cushions in the kitchen.
Back outta here if you gonna do any bitchin.
What's that in your hand?
Are those keys as in my keys you better run now....
your a dead man....I must confess....
I have made one mess......get back here....
Your gonna help me clean.....
That was mean.....Fun? Fun? For who?
Not me must have been you.

..............I Am Called...............

I traveled through the fiery lights of the darkness.
Past the bright light of the biggest fiery ball.
On I went over the waters so blue green.
Searching for nothing...................
but seeing it all.
No destinations in my mind.
Surrounding everywhere.
So much did I find........
I gust through a city of life.
Slowed down at the starting of man and wife.
If I could have weeped I surely would.
To see the toils and troubles of man kind.
So I breezed to other areas of this galaxy.
Soaring through that space was all so keen.
It was places where no other has seen.
Some would say I crawled by them.
Others would say I moved at the speed of light.
Some would try to capture me.
And some would let me just roam free.
Some would beg me to come back.
Some would accuse me of being off track.
For I have been here for eternity.
And my mission is only the one I see.
So please allow me to move on.
I am called Father Time that is me.
I have no home.

About this poem:
Time has been my greatest friend at times(no pun intended). It has bought me much joy and at times healed me from lifes pains. I try to enjoy my time. So I got up this morning and closed my eyes and visualized father time and how it must be to be him. I had some time. giggle

You Know

I walked through the shadows and into the light.
I could have given up but I put up a fight.
Sometimes life is hard and I get a little lonely.
But I am not ready to live in the land of if only.
Not ready to lay down and call it quits just yet.
So with me I think I would lay down my bet.
Because I'm only going to get stronger.
Just when you think I am beat down,
Just when you think I can't take it any longer.
I will rise up just as if it is a new day.
Well, I'm enjoying the walk.
I don't like a lot talk.
Once in a while I might do a little dance.
I'm a sure thing I am not a chance.
I am a case where looks do deceive.
So look deep into me.
My strength comes from the living I done.
I stood straight and tall when others would run.
I am not ashamed of whence I came.
And I shoulder my responsibility I don't have to blame.
Now its my turn to fly and I'm ready to soar.
I'm not looking back because I have been there before.
When you see the blue blue sky.
Think of me I am ready to fly.

About this poem:
I think I have reached a point in life where I know I am ready to put the last two years behind me and start to live again. I think when you reach the point of feeling this way it is time. I am no longer consumed by grief. I have finially reached the jumping off point.

You aren't what you use to be.
Your just a memory.
And life is flying right by me.
And I am ready to reach out.
Take what is mine.
Leave the time of doubt.
I will be just fine.
In this wonderful world of mine.

Out Of The Warmth

Out of the warmth, Tumbling, spinning finding comfort on the ground.
Afraid, alone. Amongst the leaves where you are found.
Sometimes when you think you are ready to fly.
Spread your wings and give it a try.
Believe you can and make it be.
Soon you'll be flying free.

Don't be afraid of the ruffling of your feathers.
Just a little wind so pull yourself together.
Look at you soaring high.
All it took was faith and the willingness to try.
Sometimes its not the fall that brings pain.
It is the not changing..... wanting to remain the same.

Awakening

Slow reaching upward
Sun caressing climaxing.
Head stretching yearning.

This Moment

No, tomorrow's no yesterdays.
Just this moment. Me here alone.
Nothing standing in the way.
All the bad seems to be gone.
Just the breeze brushing my face.
And the sun bringing me to life.
All the negativity seems erased.
And the world is mine once more.

Does the sky seem like the perfect blue?
And the grass and trees a luscious green.
It makes me forget about losing you.
And life is once more mine it seems.
Just the sounds of everyday.
Passing by outside.
Makes me not want to stay.
So I leave the inside.
To greet the world with a smile.

Don't it feel good to not run.
To simply have a chance.
To be able to survive.
And still want to dance.
The wind and the sun,
The feeling of life begun.
Makes it all worth while.
Going to greet this world with a smile.
And keep living life in style.

The Ghost

Awakened by the sounds once more.
The ghost that reside within these walls.
Not to be silenced nor hushed.
To laugh, to drink, to dance once more.
I lay very still. Willing them to go away.
But their presence calls.
Not willing to remain in their graves this day.
To all that know of me I live alone.
But the ghost their still here.
I keep them alive.
As if they were never gone.

Good bye :-(

I tried to let go....but its hard for me to do.
When I have one hand always holding on to you.
If I would release.... You'd just fly so high.
Not even a whisper a word of good bye.
Your colors are here for the world to see.
But I keep on holding you close to me.
Now the time has come.
And I must let you fly.
So I will start to run.
Where you can reach the sky.
It will be clear sailing into the blue.
To places I don't know.
But I will release and let you go.
May your journey be a good one.
May you reach your permanent home.
In a gush of wind my friend you are gone.

Feelings

Strong, powerful, unable to capture.
Free, flowing, caressing.
To the depth of rapture.
Passing sight unseen.
In front, behind, all around.
Loud boisterous echoing.
Sometimes silent without a sound.
Give take here there.
Fast moving air.
Gentle breeze.
Wind.

ALONE

Eyes cast downward.
Head bent, hiding face.
Wanting not to be seen.
Feeling so out of place.
Everyone so clean and crisp.
He wished he could be.
As they were.
So happy, so carefree.
The little boy who talked with a lisp.
The bell rang all headed to the door.
No hurry for him.
No home not anymore.
Years go by.
He never asked why.
But always he felt so out of place.
For the memories could never be erased.

About this poem:
I think most of us have known someone like this little boy in our life time. I don't know why but today I was thinking about a man I went to school with. And I know in a class room somewhere sits this little boy once more :-(
A smile a kind word does not cost anything and you can give it to someone and it might change there whole day.

Fairy Tales

Tired........ withdrawn.
Just feeling better off alone.
Time spins by.........Days to weeks.
I don't even wonder why...........
I took a look.. was sad to see
That what I seek...
Now lives only in story books....
Called fairy tales.

I could cry to know I will not feel again.
Captive passion ... held from within.
A heart that seeks something that is dead and gone.
Buried somewhere beneath this life of cell phones.
To feel so special....... as if this moment is here for you.
In someone's eyes you'll be their world........
The reason they smile .....I guess that feeling is gone too.

I am told to forget let go of the dreams I held and had.
To settle for second best really isn't all that bad.
But I keep remembering how it felt to love with all my heart.
And some dreams I cannot let part............
I still want the old time fairy tale......
Where love flourished and did not go stale.
