Soul To Soul

There's an eastern wind a blowing across the mighty sea.
I'm chilled to the bone, no warmth left in me.
It's been here way to long time for it to leave.
My sun will return one day all I have to do is believe.

I was walking down a strange road I've never been before.
It seemed kind of funny I thought I passed a familiar store.
I stopped and stood and stared moved to the door went in.
And walked into what felt as familiar as a friend.

Getting dressed this morning I put on a pair of shoes.
Funny out of all the pairs it is this one that I choose.
Love the feel of them upon my feet as comfy as a glove.
As we touched soul to soul I knew surely this was love.

You Have Been Replaced :(

Chill looking for warmth in all the corners of my existence
Legs heavy tired moving not slowing continuing the path
My warmth giving in to cold giving up the resistance
I continue holding tight you are my hope what I cling to
Once I nearly lost you not caring I almost walked on
But I turned and picked you up to continue our journey
At times you were close to being kept by me all alone
Now I fear our time has came to it's end
Look and you will see the bright lights up ahead
Our journey will cease there my friend
With trembling finger I trace your face
Realizing in this new time new era
You my friend have sadly been replace

About this poem:
Now I know why my lucky coin is lucky. Have not used a pay phone in years. But....surprise they take a little more than what I remembered
:( Thank goodness some people are nice enough to let others borrow a land line when there is no cell service and the old auto picks a cold dark night to give it's driver a little exercise.

Ma'at

She laid awaiting anticipating
Lashes touching cheek bone, chest laying still
Time was near judge, jury, executioner
Humanity calling with their free will

The lust for money greed that drove mans needs
No longer one for all now all for one
Bloodshed hatred they knew not what they freed
Lines now drawn and their God was soon removed

Ma'at rose and turned to face her father
Tears streaming down cheeks once where lashes touched
Taken was all they had put before right
Gone were worldly possessions and such

No one questioned the fire that spread through out
Balance restored Ma'at reigned no doubt

About this poem:
Have you ever thought about what it would take to restore life's balance? To fix it where humanity was one with life? Instead of people out there hustling around trying to event this and that to make things better as they see it they would be just enjoying the world as one of natures miracles? To not have anyone better than the other? Richer than the other? The right color? The right size? Just simply allowed to be? To roam the earth to eat the fruits off the trees? Without getting a shot gun shoved in your face and told to get off my property. Because there would no longer be your property or mine. I cannot help but wonder when did we decide we could take property and call it ours? Was this the beginning of the end?

Eclipse of the Heart

Blanket of darkness covering sun
Shadow of a figure coming undone
Wishes like air kisses just no fun
Always dancing to my own drum
Like evil twins the moon and sun
Life unfolds quickly as a cookie crumbs
I don't want to color in the lines
Taking way to much time
Don't perceive to touch the pot of gold
Misty rain drops turn to snow
Is it hot or is it cold
Petals blowing in the wind
Fairy dust lights the dark
Day light comes to an end

Reaching to hold night like a friend
Shadow of daylight cannot be seen
Once many years ago
The King and Queen were side by side
Now when he comes she hides

About this poem:
I watched as the sun set tonight. It reached a point where it seemed that day time wanted to hold night time. Night time removed all the shadows and day time seized to be. Tomorrow the queen will rise once more to claim the day time as hers. It will be the moon who will then bow to the sun and the circle of life will continue.

Letting Go

Time not a breath of movement not a sound
Motionless siloettes frozen in place
Erie moment now captured now held bound
Slowly cascading floating to no where

Out of breath gripped by fear clutching for straws
Faces so contorted with deceit blind
Crouching confined inching forward slow craw
Pain recessed into the crevices gone

They danced forms outlining one another
Moving almost as if they were just one
No visions of life just the two lovers
For that moment time stood still and they danced

As they flew from the nest the mother cried
Now empty exposed the nest built with pride

Yankee's Challenge

I look into the garden and what do I see
A beautiful array of flowers all smiling at me
Always a work in progress so worth while
The sweet smell makes me want to smile

My favorite flower of all you do ask
So hard to choose what a task
So I will simply tell the truth the way I see
So lean close where I can whisper it to thee

The kind that makes all feel at home
A smell that makes your problems gone
Still depending on seasons but always on the rise
Come here this is where my flour lies

Here in the kitchen is the flour of my heart
Bringing happiness as lips touch a tart
Soothing soups it can make
Hot fresh bread I will bake

If your ever kneading a lift in life
Smell cakes baking to rid the strife
Gravy covering breaded meats
Oh I love my flour it is just so sweet

I strive to be like the flour of the homes domain
To fill the people whose lives I see in pain
With comfort and love and warmth to all
Flower to flour each has its own call

Monsters

All the stars gone fallen from the sky
Darkness reins holding its head high
Sun trying but gives up cannot rise
Here is the grave where trust lies
I have taken what I came for but turn to look
As the monsters rose the ground shook
I am not afraid come after me if you dare
I will fight your evil by fighting fair
I knew not that I had crossed over into your space
It was to late when I seen you were two face
So sweet that honey dripped from your lips
But I seen traces of your other face when that one slip
You thought you had me in your keep
But I seen long ago you are just a creep
So be smart go back monsters into your lair
You see I have been waiting with time to prepare :-)
At a lift of my lips my sun did rise
And laying by trust was lies
My world would always remain bright
But your world is dark darker than night
So crawl back from whence you came
You want be missed and I'll still be the same

Moving On

The road to life has been a winding one.
Hills and valleys, resting to rising suns
From babies cooings to young woman's dreams
Seasoned woman now but my works not done.
Little lost not knowing which road to take
Sometimes no decisions are the best to make
It seems so close but yet so far away
One day I will rest when I am in my grave

I seek solitude but life still seeks me out
My name chimes as clear as a bell
Natures beating drum the beating of my heart
Mystifying me as if I am under a spell
Talking softly heard as loud as a shout
Removing all insecurities and doubt
Touched by the Gods of the Universe
Embracing, no longer feeling cursed

Let go of silly petty things release their hold
Follow the path towards knowing yourself
Don't believe everything your told
Search for peace not strife
Revealing love through your life
Time is short but please don't run
Or you might pass all the fun
Search for spiritual not financial wealth

I hear the beating of the drum
Work here is almost done
I choose the road of the resting sun

About this poem:
I think when we are ready to move on in life each of us knows when it is time, be it emotional or physical moving. We know when the journey needs to move on. To stay complacent would somehow stop the growth.

Is This You?

It seems just like yesterday I laid you down to rest and watched my whole world die
No longer could I taste the hopes and dreams I had clung so long to
They seemed like just words inspiration sadly forming into just one big lie
Longed for dreams left that day they died along with you
My whole world stood still
While grief held me against my will
The days went by way to fast
Living for the moment but staying in the past
Then I felt the dawning of the birth once more
Of hopes and dreams that wanted to reunite
Not the same ones as before
But fear would not let go without a fight
To trust and have faith is the greatest gift of love
A gift I only want to give to someone who is worthy of
Someone who is willing to take my hand
Walk with me through this wondrous life
Don't let go when things don't go as planed
Doesn't use words or actions as a cutting knife
If it is you then I promise our love will grow by the day
Together we will make our way
I will set my fear aside where love will have a place to reside

Phone Call

You don't know the chance passed us by.
Gone as quickly as the blink of an eye.
Some times I wonder about the choices I have made.
And the decisions that will follow me to the grave.
Younger years I said I had no regrets.
But time has a way of making one rethink things they would rather forget.
I never meant to do no harm.
It was just our way of life way out there on that farm.
Wish I was back there with the sun upon my face.
Living a life where there is no rat race.
But when I hear your voice on the other end of the phone.
It reminds me of the reason I am gone.
You don't know but the chance passed us by.
Gone as quick as a blink of the eye.
You want be one regret I will take with me when I die.
Could never chance our friendship on just a try.

Waiting Angel

Quietly an angel waits for you there
Can't you see the light glowing in the dark
Even if you don't show it lets be fair
You weren't serious I was just your lark

Stirring winds blowing bringing times of change
Rains have passed gentle winds blew clouds away
Once at a distance no longer feels strange
Tides keep moving back and forth changing days

In a distance standing tall solid ground
Fear is not mine determination claimed
Not to be crossed over I'll go around
To leave my imprint in the ground life stained

Giving up is what my angel waits for
Always with hope given she will wait more

About this poem:
When I was younger I felt so big and important. As if I was the whole world. With time that has passed by I have humbly learned that I play such a small part in this huge world. And everyday that is given to me I except the challenge to try and make it better than the day before.

The Catch

Slowly crawling turning gracefully down
The box by the door waited beckoning
A moment in time passed without a sound
The time was here the time of reckoning

They came all of them huddled as if one
All so different yet all just the same
No going back no stopping at full run
Not caring if from happy or sad pain

Floating as if soaring by mighty wings
White the color of surrender or pure
What my eyes surrender what my eyes bring
Floating wings white touched my face with the cure

Dainty hand holding tightly the tissue
Catching tears as they fell was no issue
