The Party is over....

I warned you.
Did you listen ? No.
You were too busy Trumpeting.
Although the country lost, you somehow thought you won something.
Wrong. But, you celebrated anyway.
It apparently didn't bother you, that illegal things took place.
I warned you, that eventually the 'piper would have to be paid'.
The time is now very soon.

The American people have spoken quite loudly with their votes.
In the House of Representatives, it's almost a clean sweep,
a lot of governors too.
We the people, no longer want to put up with Trump and his cronies.
They don't want the rich to get all the benefits.
The house has been renovated. A lot of the trash was taken out
and more will likely be taken out in 2 years.

Get ready for justice !
There's been a whole lot of investigations that have been snuffed by the prior Republican house majority.
Not any longer. applause
Nancy Pelosi will return to being the Speaker of the House.
All the committees will have Democrat heads.

Mr. T. is FINALLY going to have to hand over his tax returns and they will be closely scrutinized. thumbs up
He will no longer be able to abuse the power of the presidency. thumbs up
Mueller is going to have full backing and encouraged to get to the bottom of his crimes. thumbs up
Kavanaugh is going to be fully investigated thumbs up
so will Scott Pruitt thumbs up
and Jared thumbs up and Don Jr. thumbs up
Trump will be impeached. dancing

But, will you finally listen ? No.
Well, it doesn't matter. You will witness it anyway. tongue

Pretty true, this

I have a commission to write a piece about rejection and remarked to my man I don't know much on the subject. He said 'not yet'. Then he was taken aback that I didn't think he was hilarious.

We're usually pretty smooth but he has a bloody awful track record. So do I. Ours is not a logical or reasonable relationship (LDR, regular meetings, started 8 months ago) but when it's good, it is very very good. heart wings Comments like that do not quiet my busy thoughts, they make 'em bubble!

I still don't think it was funny but accept I over-think things. He talks without thinking, typical extrovert / introvert relationship. Just interested to know what you would have thought.

He will see this blog, BTW, so you can give your real opinion knowing you will please at least one of us.

For anyone who can't see the pic (BTW, how do I make images fit in the blog? mine are always too large) it says a serious girl, when she finds someone who calms her spirit and quiets her busy thoughts, will love you so fiercely, it will defy even her own logic and reasoning

Barack Milhous Hussein Benito Obama

According to the New York Times, the proof that the Obama administration spied on an opposition candidate for President of the United States is now in hand.

Either the Obama CIA or FBI (it’s not clear which yet) sent an undercover agent, a sexy young woman, to infiltrate the Trump campaign by faking a chance meeting with George Papadopoulos – a low level campaign advisor – in a bar in London and attempting to seduce him to get information about the campaign.

So Attorney General Barr was EXACTLY RIGHT. And even more importantly, PRESIDENT TRUMP WAS EXACTLY RIGHT, when he said more than two years ago that the Democrats were spying on him and the Democrats and Obama administration called him crazy. And Donald Trump Jr. was EXACTLY RIGHT when he claimed that the Democrats were spying on him and the campaign and the Democrats laughed and tried to trash him.

We'll see who's going to be laughing now.

The Obama administration was USING THE POWER OF THE GOVERNMENT TO SPY ON AN OPPOSITION CANDIDATE DURING A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN. This is UNPRECEDENTED in all of US history. These are POLICE STATE tactics that EVERY AMERICAN should CONDEMN.

And what about Obama himself? Do you think this was going on without his knowledge? Do you think that he was the only one in his administration who didn’t know what was happening?

Thank God for President Trump and Attorney General William Barr. They are never going to give up until all the treasonous cops and politicians in the Obama administration are brought to justice for their crimes.

THIS WILL NOT STAND!

The Withdrawal of Roman Legions from Britain.

The Withdrawal of Roman Legions from Britannia resulted in the End of Literacy in the region (410 – 449 AD). Then starts the Dark Ages in Britain...
In 410AD.the Roman legions withdrew from the province of Britannia. With the departure of the last legions from Britain, and the end of Roman rule, literacy gradually left England. Within 40 to 50 years from the time of the departure of the Romans to the arrival in 597 of Augustine of Canterbury on a mission to convert the Anglo-Saxons, and for a period thereafter, it is believed that the people of Britain were, with few exceptions, essentially illiterate.

Roughly 40 years after the Romans departed, in 449, Saxons, Angles, and Jutes conducted large scale invasions of Britain, causing numerous members of the Christian aristocracy to flee to Bretagne, France. The environment in Britain became increasingly hostile to Christians, and increasingly illiterate.

The period from the departure of the Roman legions to the arrival of Augustine of Canterbury in 597 is often called Sub-Roman Britain or Post-Roman Britain. The date taken for the end of this period is arbitrary in that sub-Roman culture continued in the West of England, and in Wales, for a period of time thereafter. Reflecting the decline of literacy and of educational institutions, very little written material survived from the period.
“Two primary contemporary British sources exist: the Confessio of Saint Patrick and Gildas’ De Excidio et Conquestu Britanniae (On the Ruin and Conquest of Britain). Patrick’s Confessio and his Letter to Coroticus reveal aspects of life in Britain, from where he was abducted to Ireland. It is particularly useful in highlighting the state of Christianity at the time. Gildas is the nearest to a source of Sub-Roman history but there are many problems in using it. The document represents British history as he and his audience understood it. Though a few other documents of the period do exist, such as Gildas’ letters on monasticism, they are not directly relevant to British history. Gildas’ De Excidio is a jeremiad: it is written as a polemic to warn contemporary rulers against sin, demonstrating through historical and biblical examples that bad rulers are always punished by God — in the case of Britain, through the destructive wrath of the Saxon invaders. The historical section of De Excidio is short, and the material in it is clearly selected with Gildas’ purpose in mind. There are no absolute dates given, and some of the details, such as those regarding the Hadrian’s and Antonine Walls are clearly wrong. Nevertheless, Gildas does provide us with an insight into some of the kingdoms that existed when he was writing, and how an educated monk perceived the situation that had developed between the Anglo-Saxons and the Britons.

"Crazytown" - "Trump off the rails". from Bob Woodward's new book, 'Fear', out in a week or so

It appears that Mr. Woodward has written his 19th book on American politics.
This one, 'Fear', may be his most shocking, even for those of us who are not Trump bootlickers.

A couple of quotes from the book have set Twitter 'on fire'. laugh

"In a meeting, Chief of Staff John F. Kelly once said of Trump: "He’s an idiot. It’s pointless to try to convince him of anything. He’s gone off the rails. We’re in Crazytown. I don’t even know why any of us are here. This is the worst job I’ve ever had.".”

John Bolton states that all that matters to Trump is re-election, even if it harms the USA

From The Huffington Post;

The worst president in US history has already harmed the USA many ways.
He was impeached and should have been removed from office.
Hopefully, the American public will not again be fooled by his lies and misleading statements and the Russian online propaganda.

What’s Happening In The US Of A?

Yesterday, in yet another mass shooting, at least 10 people were killed with 16 more injured in a bar. One suspect died in the shootout. The investigation continues.

It is only August and 251 mass shootings have occurred in 2019 so far. This resulted in 1,032 people being shot. Of those people, 180 have died. For the purpose of this blog, a mass shooting is defined as a shooting where at least four people were shot.

Living in a country where things are rather rough, I think I can more or less identify with the problems that come with violence of this nature but it is the magnitude of it that disturbs me. What I see is a lot of angry people and I wonder what it is that enrage them.

One might argue that, given the population of the USA, it is a small percentage but I wonder how the Americans feel about it.

My most sincere condolences to the victims and their relatives. sad flower
