Taiwan is situated in the vicinity of China, just about 130 kms. away. She is not even the member of the WHO. But her performance in tackling the COVID-19 excels the whole world.
Just 449 infected cases and only 7 casualties.

Now the question arises as to why the media not highlighting the success story of Taiwan ? Why are they hiding it ?

The one and only inference can be drawn that they don't want the exposure of the failures of the political dispensations of the current regimes running the countries.

I'm still shocked and as I've been very busy with other things lately I didn't even learn until the blog of Teddy. Thank You Teddy for the info.

I know most of us here that had been for a while knew what happened last year.

Another member on here whom I will not mention her name, broke his heart so he requested my help with another good member to help him in the research of that person. We didn't succeed but him and I had been communicating in our personal mail but never mentioned if he was sick or not. He was absolutely one of the best bloggers on here and I will terribly miss him.

Please join me in a prayer for his soul.

There have been so many uplifting blogs and people saying nice things about each other I couldn't help being motivated to share my contented thoughts!!

It's getting to be almost summer here and my first one in Arizona. I have lived in Southern California and Colorado for so many years I finally decided to get away from the big town noise and the small city freezing winters.

I really intended to live in Laughlin, Nevada but I picked up a small town newspaper at the hotel we were at when we visited Laughlin and it said that "Bullhead City, AZ was on of the most cheapest places to live". So I crossed the river and I looked around. It wasn't the nice looking look that Laughlin had, but sure enough, the prices were right.

The basic needs for one was also easily available so I just settled here. In short time I found a nice cheap apartment just made for a single irresponsible man like me. Things were rolling.

The winter was mild, kind of windy at times with "El Nino" kicking up some rain but it wasn't cold. I didn't have to put the heater on one time.

Spring sprang and it started getting warmer with lots of small rain showers. The beauty of just warmth and the clear skies made me start looking around at the fauna. The fauna coupled with the natural beauty of the Colorado River and the remnants of the formation of this valley also includes the widest array of rocks.

Now I know that rocks, by themselves, may not mean too much. But these rocks are different. They are round and smooth & rough and craggy as the water that rushed down to the Sea of Cortez tossed and turned them into what they look like now.

These rocks are very beautiful. They are full of color and details so wonderful I find myself just relaxing looking at them. THEN!!! Add the fauna I spoke about earlier and you have NATURE at it's best in the desert.

These plants are not the manicured non-native plants that can make a yard in Southern California look like a garden and a garden resembling what the plant architect intended. Nor are they farmland plants in Colorado. The sad point about Southern California faunas is you need tons and tons of water to keep them looking nice. Unfortunately after awhile that gets tiresome and they turn weedy and dead!

The plants here are actually the weeds sprouting as they have for centuries. These flowers, which I will refer to them as, have a flat plant base with spindly arms reaching upward. They're probably about 5 inches wide at the base and the arms are also maybe 5 inches high. And at the end of each arm are the blossoms.

These blossoms are rich red blossoms about 1/4" in size. They look like small roses. They are also bright yellow resembling daisy's or perhaps sunflowers! Then there are the pink ones and the white ones.

Yes, they are sparse but still just as beautiful. And in the dusk hours I sit in my patio chair and look at the bats as they swoop and turn abruptly picking mosquitos and flies out of space. You can call it "Meals on Wings"!!

There is so much more and then the finale. The enjoyment and contentment I have just being here makes me so happy. Yes, I miss my kids and G-kids but they are just a 4 hour drive away.

I wished you all were here and we could journey over to the Colorado River and enjoy a BBQ and some cold ones.

Murder or assisted suicide?...A Canadian judge imprisoned for life...in the death of his wife...but she was not well and because of his extra marital affair...and the burden to care for his wife who suffered a stroke and was partially paralyzed...he was deemed a murderer...I think he is innocent...what are your thoughts...

So I decided in my quest for true inner peace and the want to keep my body in relatively good shape I would start doing Yoga.

I found a wonderful DVD from a great teacher who explains that the poses aren’t Yoga they are just callenetics , the Yoga part comes from breathing and looking within.

Great just what I wanted somewhere to focus my mind when it is running around like a headless chicken, at the same time as getting my body back into shape (I’m trying many different body shapes at the moment)

Okay so get started, first learning to breath, “sit cross legged”, okay hold on a second, the last time I sat cross legged was when I was knee high to a grasshopper at school, my legs just don’t do that anymore., still in the interest of doing it right I sit cross legged and tell myself by this time next week it will be less painful, or I’ll still be sitting where I am because I’ve got stuck and my daughter hasn’t yet run out of clean clothes to wear so hasn’t noticed I’ve been motionless.

Now the breathing, the only thing I can liken it to is snoring while awake, (so when I’m actually caught snoring I can just claim to have been practising my Yoga breathing, bonus!).

Okay so off we go, I’ve seen this posture done on TV, “The Downward Dog” , or in my case the “The Downward Collapsing Dog”. Now while sticking my bum in the air, keeping my back straight, pushing down on the hands with my chin on my chest, trying to get my legs straight and my heels down flat on the ground I am supposed to continue breathing slow long breaths in, slow long breaths out, (do you know how hard it is to do long slow breaths when you are doing a long slow collapse onto the floor, and no the ooooohhhhhhh aaahhhhh noises coming from me are not the mantra).

Okay moving swiftly on, (by now my two cats have appeared and are laughing at me trying to get up off the floor, while they are wrapping their legs around their bodies just because they can).

The Warrior Pose – okay what was that she says stand tall, stand strong, stand your ground, feel powerful, look lady if someone was to sneeze in Africa at this precise moment, I would fall over with no effort what so ever.

Breath whatever else happens, breath, give it time yoga will make you feel so much better, more alive, it will help with your posture, and you will walk taller.

That was yesterday, so how do I feel today, well yes I have to admit I am walking taller today my calf muscles are so sore I have to walk around on my toes. It is recommended that I practise for at least 25 minutes every day, I will not be defeated, today I’m going to practice my breathing technique…..shhhhhhhh
