RE: Do women really need feminism?

Feminsim has undergone a few changes over the years.

The Suffragettes in about 1900, fighting for the rights of women to vote, and own property, and not be the property of their husband... Basically the right to be a person.

The 1960's version, less clear what they were after, in an era of protest. Perhaps equal pay for equal work, perhaps more recognition in academia.

The current version, often simply objectionable people with a massive chip on their shoulder, no real objective other than spouting venom and hatred for men, in the name of gender equality.

Sure there's still a glass ceiling in business and politics, it is getting less and less, and more women are getting ahead on their own merits. There are a lot of mediocre people calling for affirmative action and quotas, a true feminist would see these measures as a big step backwards.

And there is the subtle indicator we still have a way to go, for example, we still get excited and say- the first female (insert role), ...rather than- (insert womans name) is (insert role) because of the following talents/abilities...

RE: Eat It

I knew it was a catalytic reaction, I thought it used platinum as the catalyst but it seems it might be nickel...

RE: Why are some unlucky in love.

I'm just not into housework really. But it has to be done.

RE: Why are some unlucky in love.

Thats a pretty big maybe...

RE: an Open mind - is essential for a Fair Opinion - or r u Narrow minded ?

You're not fat Snooky, dont worry about it.

RE: Why are some unlucky in love.

I think he's a nice guy who looks too much for problems in himself. I think the Canadaese wenches are the real problem.

RE: cold-shoulder...

As long as I can be snuck in, entire. Just to be clear, entire, or the deal's off.

RE: cold-shoulder...

If you can sneak me in, entire, then I'll cut you in on the action. But I get all the royalties when they make Underbelly part 73 out of it.

RE: I Don't Want Lots Of Bad Girls

I'm thinking if I combine 2 different threads, I can have my bad girl and eat it...

RE: Investing

Much more lucrative investment, up in the hills shrouded by camo net- Pot 8 ohhhhhhs

RE: cold-shoulder...

Well I think if girls can join the boy scouts now, I should be allowed to join the coven. Then hopefully one day the coven will all be selling amphetamines for my clique. Which I'll then sell to the bikies.

RE: Investing

I hope an orange farmer posts some information about returns, so we can compare apples with oranges...

RE: A Little Guitar

A little guitar? In which case you must be a tiny person, because it looks pretty normal size to me.

RE: Why are some unlucky in love.

Not entirely, there's also laundry fun, and kitchen fun, might as well give the lounge room a clean as well while you're at it.

RE: cold-shoulder...

Well, you've certainly past the cold-shoulder stage... Now you've just got to pass the hairy eyeball stage and you'll be good to go.

RE: There May Be Trouble Ahead.

Here we go, the good old days... OK, get it out of your system, I'll go take a dump.

RE: Why are some unlucky in love.

Well I can only speak from a male perspective, the hotties tend to be crazy and unpredictable but great fun in the bedroom.
Whereas, the sensible stable ones tend to be matronly and overweight, and sleeping with them is a real boring chore.

Are you on drugs?

I've found that works really well if you have a sore nose.

RE: cold-shoulder...

I remember when you could get a wheelbarrow full of potatoes for four and six. And that included the wheelbarrow, mind you.

RE: cold-shoulder...

I must admit, that was a ball-tearer. But see what I mean? you just didnt get quality like that in the good old days. Just a bunch of old people swapping scone recipes, and talking about the war.

RE: cold-shoulder...

Its all good. Thing is Sawdy, there are "dead spots" here, I have noticed between say 11 and 2 (am or pm) here, not much is happening...

I found out by saying something off the planet about whacking off wearing a washing up glove, at the train station... Then the place seemed to go completely quiet. I thought OK, they're just taking it all in and somebody will say something about it... I kept looking at the clock, by about 12.15 I thought they must all be heading to the train station or the glove shop... And so on, until about 2 when some old lady said she won 5 bucks playing bingo or something.

RE: an Open mind - is essential for a Fair Opinion - or r u Narrow minded ?

OK, OK... Apricot jam will be fine... Or maybe to suit the jam expert, an assortment of different jams... But only lipstick lezzos.

RE: an Open mind - is essential for a Fair Opinion - or r u Narrow minded ?

Looks like One and Krema are a little bit narrow-minded.

RE: an Open mind - is essential for a Fair Opinion - or r u Narrow minded ?

I'm pretty open minded, I wouldnt mind a 3-way with a few Bulgarian lesbians wearing dog collars and a big jar of the finest plum jam.

RE: an Open mind - is essential for a Fair Opinion - or r u Narrow minded ?

I didnt think they'd be aware of all these things in sleepy old Bulgaria. I thought they made nice jam and tinned fruit.

RE: Recent trip to McDonalds

Haha I wouldn't know, never been in one.

I quite like the thick shakes at maccas, I probably have one twice a year or so. Last time, to my great irritation, they've changed the way they do things... One person works the cash register and takes orders and money, then you get a number and have to stand around waiting. Because they can take orders and money much faster than they can make food, the amount of people waiting seems to grow and grow...
They give a higher priority to the drive-through customers, so this slows it all down even more. So poor little me, who just wants a chocolate thick shake, has paid for it, and can see the machine right there sitting idle as they fuss over drive through orders and taking more orders and money, it now takes around ten minutes.

So that might be it for me with maccas. I guess I was never destined to be an important customer to them...

RE: an Open mind - is essential for a Fair Opinion - or r u Narrow minded ?

Well you cant blame a guy for trying.

RE: an Open mind - is essential for a Fair Opinion - or r u Narrow minded ?

You said I was narrow minded, when I suggested making a computer program so the dolphins could talk with the buffalos.

RE: Recent trip to McDonalds

Well I work in a bakery, and I never wash my hands after going to the bathroom. So far nobody has complained about it yet.

RE: Recent trip to McDonalds

Mature age men... He may have just had prostate surgery or some similar issue, it can be very painful and with no warning... I think "you pig" should be reserved for drunk guys peeing in shop fronts or childrens playgrounds.

Had I been out walking, and seen some old girl caught short, I'd think thats life and not worry about it.
