I think all thats true if you're talking about something written here or a letter to the editor etc., but not something more formal. You would never present a paper for peer review in the sciences with words like commie or pinko etc., everything would be written in the third party and have the correct use and style of referencing (Footnote for chemistry and maths, Harvard for everything else).
To surmise, its university writing criteria regarding those that never went to uni. The notion of impartiality is a complete myth, it only has to appear impartial and follow the opinions of whichever lecturer is marking the essay.
Electricity is the flow of electrons through a conductor. There are kind of ways of transmitting energy wirelessly, like watches that never need winding, and microwave etc. but they technically arent electricity. Tesla was a genius no question, but there are some things that simply cant be done. There's no conspiracy, if it could be done it would be already. BP, an oil company, is also a leader in solar technology. I cant see them colluding with GE or Chevron, or vice versa.
Yes you're right there. Even those gigantic mining dump trucks run diesel-electric. Because, there is no gearbox capable of handling that much power, and if you made one it would take up too much space.
I could easily be wrong, but I thought Rollers were really well made and solid cars. With a 7 or so litre engine to push the 3 or so ton car. The hatchback sounds more feasible, if one bought a wrecked prius as an organ donor. The market here will be flooded with second hand priuses as taxi's cant be over 5 years old. The transmission losses of electricity, and the entire carbon footprint of electric cars (which are easy to manipulate with carbon offsets etc.), makes it all a feel-good exercise for the time being.
