Carlos...

Carlos De Oliveira is the property manager at Mar-a-Lago. He's being charged in the documents probe and was indicted last month. It took this long for him to find an attorney and he appeared in court today, pleading not guilty.
Sadly Carlos is in a no-win situation having aided Trump. By doing so, he was charged with four criminal counts, including making false statements, conspiring to obstruct justice, and altering, destroying, mutilating or concealing an object from an official proceeding.

All this for obeying his boss and carrying out his orders.

What choice did he have and did the thought cross his mind what his future would be for doing what he did? Doubtful. I believe he had no clue what this would lead to.

My thoughts... if he goes through the process, it would certainly mean several years of prison time. I haven't checked, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's 5 to 10 years.
Do I think Trump (like the Mafia) would silently support Oliveria's family in exchange for Carlos' silence? Without question. I would go as far as to wager mysteriously a friend-of-a-friend already has that arranged.

There is always the 'What if factor' and what if he's offered a significantly lower sentence, possibly a few months in jail and parole for 10 years for turning on Trump.
My opinion is special counsel Jack Smith already has what he needs... we can only follow the news to see what happens next.

Flip or not... what are the chances, when the dust settles, will he still be working as property manager at Mar-a-Lago?

The AI ping-pong robot...

For a week now, there's been a YouTube short video at the top of the list claiming a robot beat a human at ping-pong. I've seen a few robot videos over the years and thought it was a fake. Checking the shadows as they weren't 100% and I thought the movements were too fluid... like a Hollywood movie.

Computer Generated Imagery CGI was my first guess, but I didn't have any proof.

Here's the YouTube short:

A little research and I came up with this:

Politicians with amnesia...

The latest in a group of politicians who suffer from 'selective amnesia' has Mike Pence doubting if he heard anything about a plot to overturn the the 2020 election that resulted in the January 6th insurrection.
C'mon Mike, stop walking on eggshells. You may have to testify under oath.

Probably the most impressive display of political amnesia came from Marjorie Taylor Greene. Funny, but sad.

AIRWOLF...

As long as I can remember, I've had a fascination for helicopters. Probably because we lived a few miles from the US Coast Guard airport and a few times an hour, helicopters would pass over my house to and from Miami Beach where they patrolled.

Airwolf was a TV series in the 1980's about an advanced prototype supersonic helicopter with stealth capabilities. I watched the show for the flight sequences... not for the actual plot or mediocre acting.

The aircraft actually exists (without the technology) for TV filming purpose.

Many of the stunt scenes were done with radio controlled models, and not full size aircraft.

Notice, the 2 black objects as part of the rotor head were needed as stability in the models.

Mike Pence...?

Mike is running for office. His new campaign ad talks about an energy plan to lower costs and by 2040 will make America the leading energy producer in the world. I like it and I'm with Mike on this plan.
Just like Mike, I want to be able to pull up to a pump, without paying, remove the nozzle and be able to put gas in my car and not have to squeeze the handle!

Awesome plan Mike...

Hunter Biden is going down...

It's about time this criminal has to face the music. That sweet deal he got for his tax crime and gun possession is going away now that his missing laptop showed up at a yard sale in Lansing, Michigan. Someone bought it for $20 and while downloading the latest Windows security updates, all his personal information, emails, photos of him and prostitutes that were in a hidden folder, suddenly became accessible.

The new owner knew he had something special and contacted the RNC wanting to turn over something so valuable. He wants to be reimbursed for for his efforts and the first person who can cough up $10,000 gets the laptop!

Moyun and the Guzheng...

The Guzheng is a multi-stringed instrument from China that dates back more than a thousand years. Moyun is a young woman who plays pop songs on the Guzheng and posts videos on Youtube and the Chinese equivalent site Bilibili.

Guzhengs come in several sizes, vary in the number of strings and depending on the sound desired can be metal or nylon strings. Plucked with finger picks similar to a Western Zither, the Guzheng has a series of bridges dividing the strings with high notes on a short side and low notes on a long side. This allows for more resonance in the sound and gives the player a full range of high and low notes. Typical of the style, pressing one string on the long side gives a vibrato or pitch bend sound typical of Chinese music.

Fancy Farm...

Fancy Farm Picnic is regarded as Kentucky's political Super Bowl. Senator Mitch McConnell was there and gave a speech that was drowned out by chants of 'retire' but he continued talking as though he was being supported.

It appears they gave him a standing ovation:

Lizzo...

A few years ago a co-worker asked if I had seen an awards show that was televised the night before. I didn't and he went on to explain how he was repulsed to see a grossly obese woman being recognized as a new artist. I think he was annoyed about her 'over the top' personality. It wasn't in my world so I ignored the comment, but I remembered the artist's name Lizzo.
From time-to-time she would appear in the news and I actually heard one of her songs on the radio last month. Hip-hop with a rap lyric. Okay, that must be a calling card for the genre.
Again, Lizzo appears in the news about a lawsuit over s*xual harassment and hostile work environment. It appears to be a 'big girl' issue if it will damage her career or not.
I called up one of her YouTube videos to see what they are talking about.

Good voice, catchy rhythm, video on a budget... but that's okay. I've seen worse.
Due to her weight, I did find it funny she was moon-walking in white combat boots and the special effects of walking on water in a swimming pool of water acrobats.
Cute video and whatever the outcome of her lawsuit, I doubt it would crush the career of this or any musical artist with that kind of energy.

I flew around the moon this morning...

Technically true. I was with friends at the park flying model aircraft and the moon was in view in the western sky. I was doing loops with the moon in the background so it appeared that I was flying 'around' the moon.
The weather was awesome, with big puffy clouds and a slight breeze.
I did some screen shots from a video so the images aren't perfect, but it's enough to see a large bird that got into the movie!
