What would you say?

Your daughter has been seeing a boy socially and you have not yet met him.
Finally she says she wants to have him over for dinner.
He shows up.
You get a look at him.
What is the first thing you say to him?
What is the first thing you say to your daughter?

I’ll go first... Hand him a 9mm shell and say the next one will come a LOT faster.

I would apologize to my daughter for not raising her properly and confess that I had failed as a parent.

Kids sometimes make very bad decisions, this guy has made more than most. His only prospects are to spend the rest of his life as a drug dealer because he'll never get a decent job.

If my daughter brought a guy home that was tatted up like that one, it would be to see my face. Then we'd all laugh and I'd order pizza and all would be fine. The one she married looked fine on the outside, but~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I don't have to live with him.

well my daughter is 27 and I don't make her decisions for her so I would say nothing and to him I would ask him why he uses a sharpie on his face?.....laugh

When she brings him and you see that he is not the kind of man you would wish for your little girl, you do not show it and shake hands and exchange conventional greetings with him. You can do absolutely nothing if she is in love and adamant about staying with him. You can only watch painfully and wait. It will be hard for you, I know, but let her decide for herself, and then, if he's really bad, she will see it and decide what's good for her. She must learn on her own mistakes for her own good.
