Not a pretty sight
Favourite stretchy white top which is a bit too dingy now with age to go publicFavourite old blue pullover, so soft after years of use it is like wearing a cobweb
My old painting slax - a bit of a splashy painter, me, so they had to be retired from public life. Two weeks and counting, they are a tiny bit tighter despite the daily exercise routine
Slip-on trainers - one very short step above slippers
No makeup
No shower today - washing my hands every single time I touch anything outside my house, in this dry country, I am saving water elsewhere
Yeah I know, wow. The queue can form to the right. No shoving, in fact 2 metres apart please.
I hate living in lockdown but you only have to look at the difference in figures to see it IS worth it. On March 11 I starting tracking the countries where I know people, on a spreadsheet. Spain had around 2000 cases. The USA had around 1000.
Yes we have terrifying figures despite the lockdown but - instead of having double as many as the USA, we have half.
But I am not a pretty sight. anyone else prepared to share their isolation look ...

They will be the fittest they've ever been.
Healthy body, healthy mind and all that craic
I need it to end coz I’ve got all my clothes and shoes all ready for summer!
I was chatting with a friend about all the things we'd do once we can
Funny thing the queue was only 8 people long and just a few weeks ago we'd all have been in the place at the same time poking around and buying other stuff as well. Now we stood well spaced in the street and as everyone is wearing different colour gloves and all the hands were going at once (everyone knows everyone else) it was quite a carnival atmosphere
Most social outing I've had in weeks I may go queue tomorrow too
I hope your friend is keeping very fit in anticipation
I will be thrilled if they end this by mid April (current deadline here) but also very surprised. I am braced for May. Beyond that I will probably go doolally.
Actually not seen a policia presence yet, we're very law-abiding around here so seem to be being left to ourselves as a result
I think you should bring her to the best smelling areas.
A dog walk is about engaging all of their senses.
I find every excuse I can to go out.
Plus a weekly nip into the metropolis to do a stock-up shop
one of my sons lives in Scotland and he can work from home, the other way down South he delivered granite from Spain, so now has no work. He is thinking of delivery for hospitals etc.
;-)
I've yet to unpack my clothes, apart from one decent outfit to go to the shops in.
I'm really looking forward to being covered in paint, rather than dust, but I've got a long way to go.
Post has dropped off the list, for one.
Red, poking my nose into the conversation, deliveries to hospitals would be incredibly good of him, what a great idea
Everybody has a breaking point.
So, quiet walks, eh?
She says it has now changed to yes you can so long as you are buying groceries but not otherwise. : I'm guessing a fair run there too before minds changed again. In part the problem is that you are not supposed by law to smoke within 50 metres of a child, which is a challenge in the average house.
Still, a 3 week lockdown without any vices hardly bears thinking about
It is in times like these that people need strong clear leadership
I did notice last week at the supermarket that either a lot of staff were doing their grocery shopping OR they were packing orders. For collection or to be delivered? either way I wish I had the Spanish to ask.
But as you say, the postal staff know all houses, and therefore also know where old/vulnerable people live so can check up on them .
Countries need good leaders now.
Not like that idiot in Belarus who is going around hugging people and allowing sports and all other events to happen
Masks in the house, also a joke.
This month, we have been together for hour-long trips to Miami 3 times a week and sometimes while out, do some grocery shopping about once a week.
We both wear masks at the market.
I have a bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol in the car for hand sanitizer.
I can see which you are put your stamp on it I say I wish you all the fun and luck too.
I've a long way to go before it gets satisfying. I hope I don't get painters block when the ground work is done, like yourself.
I’ve never been much of a DIY person myself ( thankfully I had my very own Bangladeshi handyman back in Malaysia and now Art! ), but I kinda feel excited for you
All the best with your new place, Jac!
Thankyou for the best wishes, though.
