Heck if I was to offer 1k dollars to certain Americans, with no strings attached, they would start a rumour saying it was counterfeit rather than just take the money and be grateful.
Just a couple questions -
Will you actually Handle the loot? If so, will you be wearing plastic gloves?
String - if you have immunological problems it is recommended that you don't get vaccinated.
Otherwise, you are a fool, if you cause yourself to miss out. Over 300,000 dead from Covid-19 in less than a year in the USA alone. In all the trials for the Covid-19 vaccines no one died from the vaccine. There were 2 people who had severe immunological problems prior to being vaccinated and they did have a reaction, that was counteracted by use of an epi-pen.
They were prepared, as they knew they might have problems.
At the time of the worst case scenario prediction, I worked out that in the US, the per capita equivalent would be 200,000.

It is rife here. Three of my grandchildren are in quarantine due to outbreaks in their schools. Only the 2 year old can go out, although none of them are showing symptoms thankfully. In the beginning, it was thought children were more, or less immune.
I hope to visit and see all four of them one day next week to give them their Christmas gifts. I might have to leave the gifts by the front door and have a shouted conversation through a first floor window if any of them show signs of infection.
It might be my only opportunity too see them for at least a month. I'm going to miss my granddaughter's 10th birthday (my eldest grandchild, my first born) because we will be back on lockdown at 6pm n the 28th December.

That's entirely Plausible.
IOW -
Our species will deal with This Pandemic as Pandemics were dealt with for Millennia -
Nothing New Under The Sun.
And most people would prefer that not to happen.
