Request for privacy

Since google has let me down....
I'm bringing my question here with the hope of a simple straight forward answer, which seems to be so hard to get these days doh

When in court why are some trials kept private and at who's request?

From what I could gather of 7m inin investigation on how it is here in Norway
(not sure if that is relevant, but that is all I got..) seems the law itself
in certain type of cases (often family and child protection cases) decides if court preceedings are to be cept prtivate (behind closed doors)- however it seems both parties can request it
but then it must have either some foundation in law or
be based on special reasons that to me seems to be of a personal character. The last part there is unclear to me, so invetsigate that further Itchy.

Seem the law itself decides on cloesed doors in certain cases.
What crown, and who Adorns it!?

Hey Bentlee, long time no see wave

You're sounding a little like google there giggle

Not your fault, It's me hole
Haven't a clue what you're on about? lol
Fair enough, but if one requests it .....
should it not be ran by the other first before such request is granted?

I actually can't see what you're saying is right but dunno

Thanks for your thoughts though handshake
societal control is what its all about. Good to see you too all about.........angel
As in keeping journalist and media out?

If a cop/guard were bringing an assault to trial, wonder could they request the privacy ?
if yes... should it of again of not being mentioned to the victim first?

Apricate your views Bentlee handshake
Ordinarily, it will be for the party (or parties) seeking a closed hearing to set out, well in advance of the hearing and with appropriate evidence, why it is justified. However, the ultimate decision is one for the court, and the court could, of its own motion, identify that a closed hearing is required.
I'd imagine it would have to be either party also, where one would have the option to object if desired, if I'm wrong with that way of thinking, then the courts law are unfair.

I suppose there is only one way to know.

Thanks for your input Tiger handshake
Law and order is more about order than fairness.
Like pleasing most mots of the time. Mispleasedness will accour.
Just pray nobdy gets locked up unfairly.

You don't wanna tell what this is about though, for entertainment purposes?
I assume it's to protect the legal process I assume. I think I heard that Europe has more of a need to know basis than America, Britain somewhere in the middle.
Have I really become that much of a Messer Oz, for you to ask me that?
but NO, this blog is not designed for entertainment, just looking to educate myself a little with certain laws within the courts.

Google wrecks my head and the others I don't trust.

I'm assuming some take matters into their own hands to prevent the public from knowing what they should.
I always wake up wondering ....

But at the moment I'm wondering what does this (..) mean roll eyes laugh
