Stupidity or crime
Here in Ireland we are told it is now a crime to threaten or share an intimate image without consent ..whom so ever that does so shall be facing time behind bars.
" excluding children and the vulnerable " it's not really a crime though or is it
personally speaking, I think there is enough crimes going on in the world without lusty careless people adding to them... JMO.
Love to get some of your thoughts on this one...

Have to say I think it's a great law. The emotional blackmail of knowing someone who once loved you and now hates you having photos they could vindictively spread about, the crashing feeling of betrayal if they did? I've been very careful since that Polaroid not to permit anything on film but did learn a bloke I'd had a fling with secretly video-taped himself with an earlier girlfriend and the sheer icy shock of thinking there could be images of me canoodling somewhere on tape ...
He SWORE he hadn't. I murdered him anyway. Well, that law hadn't come out. I had to.
Someone's life could be ruined forever by a vindictive poster putting it online.

but I get it, what might of been an embarrassment back then could now be a proud moment these days.
As for the other creep....
there is a difference with giving and taking so you were right to of put him six foot under...
hopefully his remains will never be discovered

I think its a bit of an insult also to those through no fault of their own, no laws have been put in place to protect.
Look, I am not one for government overreach. I still don't think the police should be able to tell me I have to wear my seatbelt when I drive. They don't pay for my car or my insurance. It should be none of their business. IF, my insurance company who would have to pay any claims tells me if I want to continue to be covered I need to wear it than that is another matter all together.
As it stands, I have always worn my seat belt but to me it's a matter of principal.
Moving past those scenarios, let us agree some were pretty dumb to even make such videos if they were worried some day mom or dad may see them. There are a few shared videos out there that resulted in the subject going to jail for doing forbidden things, such as teachers doing fe*latio on male students or sex with animals, etc and they too deserve to rot away in jail just for doing those things.
Then we have the kidnapped rape victim who did a YT interview. She responded to a job modeling clothing in another city, except it was a set up. There was no job. The crew meeting her at the airport took her to a warehose there was supposedly an office in, then they and others tackled her, beat her and stripped her. It was all just filmed forcible gang rapes, beatings , forced drug injections and hard core porn with them filming every bit of it for about a week. To this day I am not sure why they let her live. Instead afterwards they took her back to the airport and bought her a return ticket and told her if she told anyone they would put it on porn sites with her name and address. Shattered she did keep quiet, the 'modeling company' began demanding hush money. She finally reported it, and sure enough every disgusting thing she had to do or endured was uploaded to 1000 websites with her name and address. Investigation disclosed other women who had similar experiences with that 'modeling company.' Several men, although claiming it was all consensual and waving consent forms she says were signed pm;u after she was beaten and hurt till she signed them were waved around were jailed, many videos taken down via lawsuits and other means, but new copies keep popping up. People have even mailed copies to her parents and former co-workers she had listed on her resume when applying for the job. Should all of that be illegal? Of course.
Should it be illegal for a prior significant other to release a video of you trying to duplicate every move Paris Hilton did in her video? In my mind yes. But I also wonder why you consented to the video ever even being made?
The prime concern is children. If an underage girl shares a nude photo with her boyfriend, they both committed a sex crime under U.S. law. The girl for making and sending it and the boy for possessing it. And as he will eventually share it with his stupid friends, they are also now sex criminals. Plus the boy is now a distributor of child porn.
So how do you punish children for being stupid and not ruin their lives with sex crime convictions?
Children i feel do not get that grounding of right and wrong so what is purely wrong they think its ok

I'm gobsmacked yet again at your acceptance of abuse, or non-consensual acts as if they are normal.
So, read it, and some of the incarcerating “intimate visual imagery” things could be a distinguishing feature, a person’s face, unique birthmark that identifies them etc. to harass or intimidate and guess extorting? It’s all subjective in court for civil liability. People have to think beforehand in sending pictures, but maybe that’s too much to ask? But yeah, teenager boys/girls have it rough if receiving pictures and the wrong friends/people find out. Thought this was for the “stars”, but most are dying off. Whoops ... one coming below ...
Believe this happened to David Ortiz (ex-red sox baseball player - retired). Someone took his old phone and extorting him for money? Apparently got into his bank accounts.
Of course, you know who gets the bulk of the money … landsharks!

I can't stop you from being in here...
but I'd much rather it if you and your mouth stayed out.

Cops are here to serve and protect us and keep us from harm, so I say it is their business making us wear our seatbelts.. otherwise they wouldn't be doing their job.
I don't know what type of circles you are referring to so I can't rightly comment.

It is having good parents that teach them, by their actions, what is right or wrong.

I also agree with what you said about the teacher and his like, but rather then pick up on the comment, if its alright with you, I'm parking my reply.
What happened to that poor girl thinking she were going for a modelling job is disgusting, there is a lot of shit and filthy people in this world.. do you really need me to answer your question if it should be illegal or not?

I did exclude children but you're right, they are a concern but can they be helped is another thing.
I notice it a lot in programmes and movies these day, a little nude flash here and there with a partner on the phone, is quickly becoming the new norm, which I think are adults role in being a bad influence on kids.
I agree with the American law, both should be fined, the giver as well as the taker.
Boys send pictures of themselves too and girls can be as vicious and as nasty as the lads.

Tis what it tis isn't an Irish thang but it's quickly becoming a saying of acceptance or so me thinks

Society is collapsing before our eyes. It starts with (understanding ) all things instead of standing firm and saying NO.
You have shocked me (slightly) with some of your blogs i alwats thought you to be a (grounded) person.
Stay well

For someone who thinks it all begins with understanding, you're not doing a very good job at it, are you.
I've decided to stand up to myself and not reply to your insults.
