I assume you've watched the movie Rush? wave Really like that movie, it tells the story of the rivalry between two different characters really well, and captures the essence of high octane high-level racing. Love the soundtrack too head banger
Lauda's crash at the Nuremberg track highlighted the insanity of the power the F1 cars of the day were putting out..
I had friends staying overnight when RTE had it on a few weeks ago, so I only had half an eye & ear on the movie, Niki caught my attention so I planned to watch it again, couldn't remember the name of the movie, so thank you for giving it to me handshake

Would I be right in saying June 21st is when that awful crash happened?
As a teenager it was impossible not to of gotten caught up in the formula and like most teenagers, I too had a crush on Hunter smitten
Never heard of Niki until just recently, what an intelligent and courageous man he were.
And he was a very lucky man to still race after being burnt so badly..
Niki Lauda was one helluva talented racing driver. I watched those F1 races very faithfully.

"I was going down the straight at 280 kilometres an hour when something broke and I went straight into the wall and my car turned into a fireball and I was in there for 55 seconds at 800 degrees till they got me out and I was right on the point of death for days and I think I really did die once."
It was the other drivers that got to Niki first in that Nuremberg crash, that track was to long and rescue and safety crews couldn't get there fast enough;;
