I do feel very sorry for those who have English as a second langauge who make large efforts to communicate with English speaking people only to have what they say ridiculed. Also to bear in mind is the cultural differences, which do not easily translate when using a second langauge and when ones grasp of that langauge is poor.....
Without knowing the letter was fake, I would have said he made every effort to sound sincere and tried hard to show his values which given his culture could have conflicted.
