Hi,Jim!
Maybe you don't like Rowan Atkinson. He is in both Blackadder, and Thin Blue Line. I am not a big fan of his, either, though he is funnier in the absurdly silly Mr Bean.

I like all of your favourites, and i would also add:

Steptoe & Son.
The Likely lads.
Only Fools And Horses.
Auf Wiedersein Pet. (sorry if the spelling is wrong)
You're right, I'm not a fan of him.
Thanks for the additional ones, I'll have to check those out.
Looks like we also have another thing in common.
Are you been Served
The Vicar of Dibbly
Sandford and Son, All in the Family, Threes Company come from British sitcoms.
Who can forget Benny Hill. Remember Benny Hill here was released here in sindication and competed with shows such like Happy Days, All in the Family, M.A.S.H. Benny Hill was the only British TV being aired on regulat broadcast tv.
I wasn't aware that Threes Company, All in the Family & Sanford & Son had British origins. Yes, I remember Benny Hill. He was one of my dad's favorites.
Ah, Jim ......moping I love the Thin Blue Line and Rowan Atkins is my new Favorite Brit actor. You should watch Keeping Mum. It's a movie and really, really funny. My mom and I loved it.

Also, did you ever get into Dr. Who. My dad used to watch that when I was young and it scared the living day lights out of me. Now I love it, cause it's too funny the stuff they came up w/. rolling on the floor laughing

Se ya later. wave

Tip
Tipaly is right about Dr Who. While it is not a sit com,it is something you may enjoy.

Dr Who,is 'ahead of his time',and as a kid,the 'Daleks' had me hiding behind the sofa, terrified of them.

I thought then, and i still think now, that it was the wonderful opening and closing music, that helped to excite the imagination.

For such a long running series, inevitably, many things would change, over time.

But not the music.

PS. Another sit-com you may like,is Some Mothers Do Ave Em.
I've heard of 'Mothers do ave em', but haven't seen an episode.
I'll look for it. Thanks.

Dr Who I saw, but wasn't all that thrilled with it.
i love Waiting for God--very wittylaugh
My all time faves are:

Are You Being Served, The Vicar of Dibley, My Hero, Keeping up Appearances

Favorite Scene from Keeping up Appearances:

Richard says to Hyacinth that he is walking funny due to a case of athletes foot. Hyacinth tells him that he is not to tell anyone that he has anything so common as the athletes foot. If anyone should ask, he will tell them he has THE GOUT!

doh
grin
Mr Bean
Some Mothers Do Have Em
One Foot in the Grave

laugh
and not to forget the classic "mind your language"
Have u ever seen "Fat Friends" with Andrew Lee Potts?
Is it any good?
wine
