WAR MACHINES: NEW BREED IN OUR MIDST
I have to admit, while I am trying to reconcile our humanistic values and the advance effect of robotic mechanism in our lives today, I am rustic and a little skeptic on the basis of rapid and unstoppable infusion and or intrusion of science in our lives. To our advantage or to our annihilation. The end of the human race.This is an attempt for me to understand a word coined on my blog yesterday. Not that it is new, this word WAR MACHINES, but rather it made me question more as to what have we become in the advent of the new world when it comes to our position in the handling of conflicts at a larger scale.
Google: LEONARDO DA VINCI,PAINTER: MONALIZA, LAST SUPPER, has achieved more to his collections of titles specially as the EPITOME OF THE RENAISSANCE MAN, not because of his paintings, but his brilliance in THE STUDY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING, CHEMISTRY, GEOMETRY, ETC.
The point of this blog today is to find the connection and the relationship of this new word WAR MACHINE, which to my ignorance and naivete made me study and research.
Here it is, The true concept of war machines was actually conceived during his time (DA VINCI)in the early part of the 16th century. Today it's significance, at least to me, is the NEW USAGE AND APPLICATION OF THIS ENGINEERING BRILLIANCE, 500 years later. As we continue to embrace this new, advance, most powerful application, I can't help but thinking the finality of our own doom. The end of the human race as we know. Makes me wonder the accident on the NUCLEAR PLANTS IN RUSSIA (CHERNOBYL) AND THEN JAPAN? Are they really an accident? Or was there a relation to avert total population's annihilation? (imagination required).
But the real direction of today's blog for me is: THESE WAR VETERANS, STIGMATIZED AND OSTRACIZED BY OUR PRESENT SOCIETY HAS TO ME OPENED A NEW LOOK THAT NOT ONLY BRING TEARS TO OUR EYES, ONCE WE TRY HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHERE THEY COME FROM, WHAT THEY HAVE DONE, OR BETTER YET WHAT WAS DONE TO THEM TO SERVE FOR OUR FREEDOM.
IMAGINE THE WORST WAR YOU HAVE SEEN ON MOVIE (PLATOON, HURTLOCKER).
Think of it for purposes of understanding their situation that this is actually how war is done. Our limits are put to the test. Human capacity to withstand cruelties and brutalities inflicted to man. While they are there living this unforgiving segment of their commitment to the CODE (defense of our country) for us to be free. For us to live like we do, civilized and in order, it has cost them (VETERANS) their lives, their normal concept as human being. THE DRUGS THEY ADMINISTER, TO FUNCTION ALBEIT MISUNDERSTOOD by us, the very people they protected, the very people they dedicated their strength and hopes are the same people that now scorn them and hate them even, and for the most part have become indifferent. Because we are not informed and educated to their situation. (I gather from the true testament of one of our veterans here with us at CS)
THE LIVING DEAD IN HELL with and amongst us. They were given the drugs to numb them, to make them forget, to desensitized them. To forget the horrors, painful memories, they had to endure for our peace and freedom.
THE NEW BREED OF THE WAR MACHINES IN OUR MIDST.
THE PRICE FOR OUR FREEDOM. WHO PAID FOR IT AND WHAT THEY HAVE BECOME? AND MORE IMPORTANTLY HOW DO WE REPAY THEM?

About this poem:
I am still crying for my friend RHR and all those who are now misguided and misunderstood, helpless living in a world that can't be fathomed. Deep down is a curse only God can heal.
For the veterans who are now living in oblivion. Not because of lack of support from the government but the drugs they used to numb them against the terrors and brutalities of war render them conditioned with an affliction only miracle can cure.

I used to be one of the players representing our University tournament Cat and I enjoyed those times. But when my brother got killed and he was my hero both in life and chess, I lost the interest.
But I hear you. If only we can settle all our conflicts, big and small through this game, voila, no casualties, right? But what about the profiteering involved Cat? I heard about the big investments of the Republicans just on the production of ammunition?

As someone said here: people are predators.
So quite a few might enjoy going to a war. For how long may be a different question.
The only thing I see of any use is, we see now because of our internet some real bad situations around the world. These we can see being exploited by some world leaders to put a stop to them, human rights or they will not see or take in goods from that country.
Little by little countries are changing but as the say ROME was not built in a day.
I do not see the world all gloomy and nothing good happening. That good does not get onto internet waves its a secret wave but its happening.

The reasons are many and mankind just does learn but at different rates that's all.
In the grand scheme of things and time on this earth I see changes happening.
How do explain myself
At one time in my country kids as young as 7 went down mines 100 years on this could never ever happen it is (classed) as a cruelty.
Now in other countries kids as young as 7 work in sweatshops---and we buy the goods.
War and war machines no different, when one culture at a different rate of evolving clashes with another then both countries at war. Both think they are right. Then on top of that we have people who will perpetuate war as they make money, then we have renegades with bad insides who just want to kill, what a mess.

yes, when we reach that it will be paradise isn't it? Have you read of the book of Dr. Brian Weiss? Many lives Many masters. Documented and recorded experiences of the relationship of the existence of many lives but the reason why of course, we can't completely connect within the present realms of our existence is because of our lack or ability to comprehend the presence of many dimensions or more than many lives we have. I am fascinated by these logic.

Actually there is an exercise(In India), a genuine experiment with the concept of SWRAJ, meant to decentralization of power. Though they are vehemently opposed by the establishment, but there seems a thin hope of success. I was miraculously motivated by the development.

I have been involved in the awareness of the eradication of hunger and ignorance and it is just a big project. i believe that even if donations after donations would come our ways, the distribution would jut be a big hurdle.

As per your questions near the end...I would assume we all paid for our freedom, one way or the other. The soldiers physically fought and the citizens financially paid. I have heard from college professors that every war can be linked to a financial gain by somebody who initially started it. If there are ulterior motives for war and our "so-called freedom," let's not forget about our "so-called" enemies.
What have they become? I think a lot of the posts, including yours, does a good job at pointing out what has become of our soldiers. We the people, including yourself, have become mindful of the harness of war. Who knows, maybe sometime in the future we will all realize how silly war really is and war will no longer exist? Sometimes things need to get worse before they get better.
How do we repay them? I think we become mindful and hopefully learn from past mistakes. You cannot change what has already happened. If that question was directly pertaining to the soldiers, that would be very complex and would need to be addressed on a personal level with each one.

i have to come back on your new and very valid points on this blog. and of course, I am always grateful on your contributions.
Yes on the so called "FREEDOM" there is the sa called "ENEMIES" which make it so justifiable in the creation of conflict, then escalates it to war.
Catfoot, has a very good idea on how we should resolve these conflicts that grow into imminent danger to our peace, like playing chess and or dueling in swords, but then what woudl be the use of our MANPOWER? and then the testing of our DRONES? AND WAR MACHINES?
Now whether we will reach that point in our human lifetime, makes me question the years without any connection to our existence other than the pyramids? which to me can't really be explained on the basis of the technical layout and concepts?
