Believers or Non Believers, Please Read.
This is not a RELIGIOUS BLOG.PLEASE COMMENT ON THE FOLLOWING READINGS BELOW: Courtesy of one of my contributor on my last blog.
Dear Dr. Laura,
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.
a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
c) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
d) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
e) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
f) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
g) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?
h) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
i) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

NOTE: Let it be known that I am a believer of God, a very loving and very forgiving God. As I said before: If science and or any powerful intellectual being can't explain to me, in layman's words, how any matter came into existence first and what caused it, including but not limited to, DR. NEIL TYSON DE GRAZZIE, a Quantum Physicist, and DR. RICHARD DAWKINS, Biologist, both professor of Harvard University, then who am I not to believe.
The vast expanse of the Universe and WHERE IT ENDS... considering that this very sick and sometimes cruel earth is a TINY SPECK, in our galaxy among millions more of galaxies in the Milky Way, I AM A BELIEVER, albeit not the God that is so distorted as some of us picture. And since we are mandated to respect and honor EVERYONE'S RELIGIOUS PRACTICES..(United States, mandated itself to be the police of such an act, per the United Nation's sanction for the International law, WIKIPEDIA, please read under RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE) I do ask that we be respectful to our fellow bloggers.

Please may I request that all participants maintain respect to anyone's cultural and religious practices and be a civil and a very diplomatic contributor?
Since we are attempting to understand and apply all the provisions of this books in our lives, we have arrived at a time where, we don't just accept them blindly and let alone use it to accommodate our self serving interest.
Simply for a universal purpose of understanding that promotes UNITY, KINDNESS AND LOVING RELATIONSHIPS AS WE OUGHT TO BE.

ON THE SIDE: NASA, last week just discovered 750 more of similar planets out there in the vast space..My point is that, we are changing, we are progressing, we are meeting and serving the benefit of the majority, laws are created to provide the needs in meeting so many changes in all aspects of life..It is through our civil and diplomatic discussions that these laws are made...To serve the needs of the majority (DEMOCRATIC COUNTRIES only).

I believe in my God, and all that is good for me and my fellow men, and some of them are from this book, but never will I impose on such belief specially if it hurts others.. I believe in Love, kindness, generosity and humility...

It seems we are revisiting this subject matter again!!...You know my thoughts...I am not a believer of God but respect those that do when they respect others' views, beliefs or non-beliefs...
Like most, I do not want to be preached at and certain bloggers are like those religious zealots that invade your personal space trying to convince/argue with you despite your pleas of "let me be"...

These readings and questions actually lighten up the Infallibility of the word and therefore, can't rely anymore on their validity and functions as it will do us harm and good.
